Oxhorn thank you!!! I was going to ask you when you were going to do a video on him but you read my mind! Thank you! P.s. I’ve watched every single one of your videos as they’re all amazing
Oxhorn do you know about the red rocket in Fallout 4 the one you can turn into your base or settlement take a look in the garage in the tool chest and you'll find something quite interesting
Oxhorn I'm happy to see your last upload was new Vegas. I must say thank you. Because of you I got back into the fallout series. Without finding your lore videos I don't think I ever would have.
I really find it funny where if you get power armor training from the remnants, then when Elder McNamara offers to give you the training, you can tell him you already know how to use power armor, he gets really suspicious and goes "WHERE did you learn that?".
25:30 Arcade: "You activated ARCHIMEDES!?!?! What the hell are you thinking!?!" Courier:"I'm just thinking I'm gonna get a cool pre-war laser... what are you thinking?"
"You activated ARCHIMEDES? Are you out of your mind?" Actually, I am out of my mind, as my mind is in a research facility in a place filled with robots powered by Brains.
Speaking of which, he says he was researching "Stimpacks out of Barrel Cacti and other fantastic improbabilities". Imagine his response to Salient Green.
I feel compelled to laugh everytime I think about what the older NCR personnel fighting at the dam must've been thinking when an Enclave vertabird flew down from the sky and a bunch of Enclave troops hopped out and started shooting at them... while they were already being attacked by the Legion. I imagine there would've been at least several seconds of shocked horror, mouths gapped open, and a few verbally muttered "ah sh*t"s. Because just when you thought your problems with the Legion and co. couldn't get any worse, the Enclave decides to come back from the dead and settle a decades old score.🤣
In case you didn't notice, Cannibal Johnson refers to a moment in Fallout 2 where you attempt to sneak into Navarro, you're stopped by Sergeant Dornan who finds you out of uniform and orders you to find a suit of power armour.

Callum Bettz NCR, the legion is doomed to collapse. Plus I personally cannot agree with the Legions methods, of rulership, of war, of politics of reward and of punishment -- yup i hate them.
Courier 6: Arcade, listen to me, I am from the future. No matter what you do you end up basically getting crucified for being affiliated with the Enclave, but I have a solution. Take this pistol, it will teleport you to a closed off lab far away from here that has access to auto doc technology capable of facial reconstruction, you can become a new person, wipe the slate clean, or you can stay there as long as you like, because there you _can_ use agave and mesquite to create medicine. I basically have every geek's ideal getaway from the bullshit, and I want to share it with you because you kinda deserve it.
Out of all the Enclave Remnants, Orion Moreno is my favorite. He's by far the most passionate and driven, unable to let go of a past he cherished. Especially the anecdote that Arcade shares. It's easy to picture the younger remnants and Arcade lifting off in a vertibird from the smoldering battlefield at Navarro, piloted by Daisy. The engines whine to life, dust kicks in the air, and as it takes off past the glowing horizon, Moreno says "Kiss America goodbye, boys." as he stares out the door. It's powerful stuff. "If we'd been on the winning side, I'd be called a hero."
The writing in New Vegas just puts Bethesdas Fallouts to shame. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed all of them but damn, the depth of these characters is just incredible
@@jaketheberge1970 Yeah Doc Henry is the only one open. I coulda swore that Daisy was sorta open, but Henry just straight up is all, "This is nothing like what i had in the Enclave!" The second you talk to him.
The fact that cringey line convinces him to join you, make it seems like no one flirts with him. Which is a suprise, he had charisma flowing out of his butt.
If you like him so much just buy a ticket to Shazam and close your eyes the entire time, the guy who plays Shazam voices arcade Gannon. You can even make up your own head Gannon and imagine that it’s Arcade
Hi, sorry for being off topic. I'm an aspiring animator and I've recently released a Fallout New Vegas animation that took me 5 months to do, but UA-cam doesn't promote my videos so I have to do it myself. I'd be glad if you come and have a look;)
That ending where he became a family doctor is the best ending for arcade imo. Definitely makes me feel better about the dodgyer elements of a house victory.
@@Soviet2008 THE TRUTH IS YOUVE LOST A PIECE OF ARMY ISSUE EQUIPMENT THAT SUIT IS GONNA COME OUT OF YOUR PAY AND YOU WILL REMAIN IN THIS MANS ARMY UNTIL YOUREEE FIVE HUNDRED AND TEN YEARS OLD!
I've always wondered what Arcade, Boone and Veronica talk about in the Lucky 38 suite while I'm out with Raul trying to convince him to put his pistolas back on. They all want the same thing - Caesar's head on a stick - but I imagine the conversations are pretty tense. Expecting Cass to act as mediator is kind of like loading a fire extinguisher with gasoline and wondering why the house burned down.
rom65536 If you bring Arcade to Bitter Springs, he'll comment on the incident there. He sounds like he heard the stories direct from at least one person there and believes them. I think he would have a lot of sympathy for Boone. If he had been there for Veronica's decision, he would know to advise her to be very cautious about leaving. As for Cass... I think he'd be more quiet around her. The few times he does talk, she'd be yelling at him to put the goddamn dictionary down.
rom65536 Same here but with the DLC companions added in. Thanks to mods, I've added Christine, Dog/God, Dean, Follows-Chalk, Joshua, and Waking Cloud to the Mojave as permanent followers after finishing Dead Money and Honest Hearts. Makes me wonder what they'd do at the Lucky 38 along with the other companions while the Courier is, say, off in the Divide. Maybe Arcade and Joshua might discuss history. Veronica would hit the town with her wife, Christine, in tow. Follows-Chalk might seize this opportunity to learn more about civilization, as would Waking Cloud. Dean might hit up The Tops and start performing there; an actual Pre-War musician should surely bring in the caps. Dog/God and Lily might provide some muscle for one or more casinos. Cass would get her drink on no matter what, whether it's hanging at the Lucky 38, watching Dean perform, or while hiring a hooker at Gomorrah. Raul could fix stuff for the Strip when he's not hunting raiders.
Lance Uppercut My Courier always recovers her (I've never played a male character to date) brain but keeps the Heartless and Spineless perks. No matter what build or play style you use, you WANT to keep those two perks upon finishing Old World Blues! The Spineless and Big Brained perks both grant your head and torso immunity to crippling wounds, saving you plenty of Doctor's Bags in the long run. And the Heartless perk? As long as you keep your new heart, you'll never need antivenoms again. Of course, the Courier doesn't have to be a Synth to survive getting shot in the head. Take a look at the opening cutscene to the game. Benny shoots the Courier between their eyes. The bone in that part of the skull is pretty thick. However, the force of the bullet would knock the Courier down and leave their temple exposed, where the bone is thinner. Benny could just as easily have shot the Courier again and ended the main story. The Game Theorists did a video about it.
I swear the god I would have gone on a murder spree if my character would have heard of what happened to arcade after the battle of Hoover dam when he helped to fight for it.
First time I ever chatted with Arcade, I literally had to wait several minutes until I stopped laughing at the 'Airplane' reference of "...gladiator movie holotapes..." and I love how he actually tells you his origins with a fascist military organisation but then implies he's only kidding. For the curious, Arcade is, apparently, 6' 4" tall, the tallest individual in the game with Veronica being one of the shortest at 5' 3" the same height as Ellen Rose of Outside Xtra. It has just entered my mind that while there's a lot of people who have recently been going 'preach' about diversity, Obsidian in NV gave us a companion roster that includes a cyborg dog, an Enclave robot, a homosexual man who quotes Latin and Shakespear, a cowgirl that could give badass lessons to Lara Croft, a homosexual woman who can punch your head clean off, a little old granny lady who just happens to be an 8 foot tall Supermutant Nightkin, a Mexican ghoul gunslinger with a sweet tooth and a white heterosexual guy with a backstory so dark it would make Batman go "Wow... you had it bad." Now that is what I'd call diverse...
Fallout new Vegas for me is a classic game. It's so perfect in many ways for me, that being considered, it's heartbreaking how much content they cut. In comparison, fallout 4 is one huge empty shell of a game... I hate sounding pessimistic, but I just feel like fallout is dead now with 76
its just a side game imho. unless it turns out really popular ill probabaly wait till we get an actual Fallout 5. I doubt it will be a total flop though. larger scale is the most recent popular thing in online gaming.
The thing that most devs/writers don't understand about diversity, it means diversity in more than skin tone and gender. Each of those characters feel natural, as if they are the product of the environment, NOT A FUCKING MARY SUE! Not one of those characters is perfect, but they can go down the road of betterment or self destruction. Flawed characters feel human, even if they are not human.
I love the way he pretends to be stupid when you catch him saying something relating to him. The way he even acknowledges his bullshit not really working with that shy "Yeah..."
I love how he has such a way with words when voicing his opinions. But when trying to dodge a question, he does so in the least elegant way possible LOL.
Ox, Buddy, that Crashed Vertibird? If you toggle tcl, and no clip through the ground.. youll see a nice big letter E with a circle of stars around it. Thats not a prewar wreck. Its from the ENCLAVE.
No, wait. I think that particular vertibird could be connected to the remnants quest, that woman that used to fly vertibirds? Plus how did the Enclave reach the Mojave, not to mention the heavy defense the wreck had? Weird.
"Change of plan - you'll find that I've sealed the doors to this hangar. I don't want my friends getting involved in our little disagreement." This is possibly one of the most Enclave things ever said lmao. Moreno truly is Enclave born and bred.
I remember when i activated Archimedes when i had Gannon as a companion, i was legit startled and terrified with the voice acting. When you think about it, you don't see that loud and angry emotions in this game by an NPC. 25:35 Reply it, tell me im wrong. The sirens do not help lol.
Arcade: "You activated ARCHIMEDES?! What the hell are you thinking?!" Courier: "Was told if I did so I'd get laid." Arcade: "...." Courier: "...." Arcade: "Nice." NCR Trooper Outside: "They activated the laser!" NCR Scout Outside: "Yeah but the dude's going to get laid." NCR Trooper Outside: "....Nice."
@2:51 Arcade: "Gladiator movie holotapes..." Also Arcade (after killing the entire Legion): *ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED!?!* *IS THIS NOT WHY YOU ARE HERE!?!*
"Oh, Degenerates like you belong on a cross, oh," Please shut up Skirt-Boy. You all got bent over the table and got butt fucked by the NCR multiple times. The Mojave chapter could have dealt with you pieces of shit with just 9mm. I mean for God's sakes you guys use spears and swords. Pathetic.
Æsir You couldnt hunt down a single Enclave squad, lost hundreds of men doing so while gaining nothing. If something that proves me you absolutely suck.
Arcades voice actor is the best in the game IMO. Puts actual emotion and passion into the lines making his dialogue feel more realistic, paired with his wits and sly references he truly is a GEM
i love this quest. its got that "old badasses return from retirement to kick some ass, get the old band together, geezers can still throw a punch" tropes you find in a lot of last-stand fantasy. also my favourite suit of power armour. also sweet that the enclave is not the endgame baddy here, but they are decent or at least abiguos folks who can redeem themselves or whatever. also cool, that it takes that whole arc of gannon travelling with you, gaining trust slowly by witnessing your decisions, and only then he lets you in on this awesome secret. just perfect
You know Arcade's response to a really dim courier lends some more weight to suspicions I've had about the Enclave for a while. I've had some lingering suspicions that they had a big divide between members based on intelligence. You had those who were exceptionally smart like the Ganon family thanks to a higher starting IQ in the genepool and people who were straddling the line of what would medically be considered mental retardation due to an overall very small genepool. Genius breeding genius of course but also those who could function in a military setting but only just barely. Just look at the way the Enclave members react to those who are intellectually lacking but not part of any group they openly hate. The Drill Sargent Dornan takes the time to explain to a drooling local that he isn't allowed inside Navarro instead of just shooting him, if he thinks you're an Enclave Private he insults you like always but keeps it relatively civil making sure to explain the job in simple terms, the Quartermaster on base is frustrated but understanding about the Chosen One being a little slow and apparently has brother who's the same way, even the guard outside the commanders office makes a solid attempt to understand what the Chosen One means when he talks in broken sentences. The Enclave for a fascist genocidal nation-state is weirdly sensitive to mental disabilities. Not that they shouldn't be but in the classic depiction of such groups, especially with the Enclave having leanings toward the "Genetic Purity" angle of fascism, it seems really out of nowhere unless it's fairly common back home.
Most people are more complicated than you might think. I also imagine that given that the VP in fallout 2 ended up feebleminded due to one of the experiments mentally crippling him there may be more sympathy and understanding about that.
It’s thought that the story Cannibal Johnson recalls about Drill Sergeant Dornan screaming at a recruit for being out of uniform is actually referring to his encounter with the Chosen One in fallout 2
After a long day of going to garage sales and watching TV, I like to sit down and watch an Oxhorn video. I’m about 5 minutes in and I’m already loving it. Thanks for another fantastic video, Ox!
I could never bring myself to help Cesar not even as a mental exercise for new dialogue. I spent hundreds of hours in this game and the one time I attempted a legion run my stomach got queasy and the disgust built up. Mark of good writing and a good game to create such a visceral reaction.
Same, given my hatred for the Legion I could never bring myself to help them, not even if I was bored of doing other endings, it’s just not worth it to me.
According to the NCR helping defend the most useful thing in their possession still gets you tried for war crimes and sentenced even though you never fought, nice
This is why the NCR is not "the good guys." - A democratically elected leader doesn't support the NCR? The NCR orders their assasstion. - The NCR sends in a negotiator to get POWs released and they agreed? Good, now wipe 'em out. - Allies fought on our side in exchange for a treaty? Forget 'em. - Women, men, children, the elderly, they're all killed equally once a group has been labeled a threat. - And as Mr. House said, wherever there's a resource the NCR wants, they'll invent an excuse to occupy, and declare it legal in their Senate. But in their eyes, and the eyes of US gamers, they remain heroes. *wE sPrEAdInG dEmOCrAcy* Sadly US gamers can rarely even figure out what the NCR is doing is wrong, as every atrocirty the NCR does is based off of things the US actually does do.
However I'd like to point out that they dont straight up execute him,nor do they hand him over to the brotherhood if he's caught. His actual fate is unknown, and he may be pardoned by the courier if the ncr ending is canon. Whether or not he's pardoned or executed depends on many factors, especially since its doubtful that the courier would let him get screwed over if they were allies.
@@joedoe1096 You're generalizing the entire US based on your own opinion. Truthfully our government does most of that stuff. You're wrong for your generalization. The sad thing is government and the general population are separated in what they see to be moral. Our government is a pretty powerful entity that keeps it's nation in the dark on a lot of shady stuff that goes on and now they're policing the world. What are we, the citizens to do?? Over throw it?? HA! I'm not dumb enough to fuck with the CIA and the other shadowy, cloak and dagger like organizations that are deepseeded in our government today and given our position, put yourself in the US citizens shoes. Would YOU be willing to die on your own to over throw em?? Because nobody is gonna care enough to help you.. the whole world is shitty. It ain't just our nation and it's leaders that are puppets. Everyone's is in some way.
@kristy rice... I guess we’re going there. Have you not looked outside the past year? There are a lot of people who would be completely fine toppling this regime for a multitude of reasons from BLM wanting to radicalize the world into wokeness to people who are aggressively against lockdown. Given the past year, I’m not against a complete dissolution of this government either.
TheBrickMasterB *OH TO HELL WITH THIS!* {tries to make a stand against me in my giant power armor and Gatling laser and robot dog with his simple plasma defender}
Same here. I cannot bring myself to sell the guy into slavery as Caesar's doctor, nor to leave him in the freezer at the Ultra Luxe. The wasteland needs more people like Arcade around, and I always join the Followers after doing their quests out of admiration for their cause. My Courier shall make the Mojave great again with a fat stack of Pre-War books in one hand and her Fist of Rawr in the other. Shred up the enemies of knowledge with a Deathclaw gauntlet.
AirCooledMan2006 I think for any proper yes man play through the courier should be recruiting and befriending as many geniuses and experts as he can throughout the playthrough. For me at least, it makes the role playing aspect of trying to build New Vegas into a slice of proper civilization a lot more realistic and achievable.
"For Auld Lang Syne" is probably one of the saddest, but also most awesome quests in all of Fallout. It's a beautiful quest that reminds us of many things, like not holding on to the past unnecessarily or living life even if deprived of our greatest pleasures. I personally had them support an independent New Vegas.
I recently lost a friend. I went to his funeral yesterday. We had a few games we liked to play, fallout 3 and new vegas included. Something brought me to you today and share a laugh. Thanks man. Even this little moment made me share a laugh when I wanted to shed a tear.
I will never understand why people have the audacity to thank people for likes. They're....likes....not imaginary "good boy points" currency. They have no cash value.
Tyler Jaynes I’m a very polite person so if someone likes something i post they’re basically saying they agree with me on whatever the subject is, therefore I’m thanking everyone who took the time out of their day to say they agreed or found humor in what i posted. I could also be an attention whore(but I’m not) and thank everyone for liking what i posted so it gets to the top of the comments section. There’s many reasons people thank other people and mine is out of politeness. I hope this answered your question.
Those glowing thingamajig doohickeys on the armor are capacitors that act like lightning rods attracting and absorbing incoming energy based attacks preventing much of the damage that would typically be incurred by said energy based attacks. This is a good thing.
I was really sad to see you didn't cover the ending where Arcade pulls a Cato and rips out his insides with his bare hands. Would have been a great connection seeing as how he references Cato quite a bit in his other dialogue.
My Second belief is that Arcade Gannon would be the Best hope for the Enclave. He has the Bravery and sole of his Father. He would make a good leader for the Enclave. Thirdly is that maybe some Remnants became Gunners but I doubt that.
Man, the Enclave is so fascinating to me. I really wish we could learn more about them. Despite the fact that they are traditionally depicted as the "bad guys" I do believe that after Mr. House they have the best shot at re-civilising America. Provided that they have the morality of, say, the Minutemen.
+Alexis Price Thanks. That's a very interesting avatar, by the way. The Russian Double-headed eagle with the Greek Orthodox symbol chi-rho for Christ. Could you tell me why you chose it? My curiousity is piqued.
+Æsir Well, for me, re-building society is the whole point of an apocalypse! You can make this wonderful but totally flawed thing again, but this time with fewer flaws. Hopefully. But that's just me.
You actually get to visit Navarro in Fallout 2. There, you meet the most amazing Drill Sergeant Nasty in the history of video games. I knew Daisy Whitman was an Enclave pilot from the first conversation I had with her, since you actually see that crashed vertibird in Klamath in Fallout 2.
I don't think I've ever actually taken Arcade as a companion. I always took Boone with ED-E or Rex, just for his perk. I didn't even know he could be one, I thought he was just someone who would give me a quest... to which I had more than a dozen at the time so I just.. "NO. I don't need any more quests. I have too many to keep track of!" X'D This is actually pretty interesting to know about though. I know what to do for one of my characters now! Thanks! :D
I think it’s a really cool concept for companions to have an end to traveling with you that isn’t you just telling them to go wait in a room somewhere till the heat death of the universe. It gives a natural jumping out point to grab a new companion. I love Boone and he should have had a similar treatment with going to support his old squad. As it is now you get through his heart wrenching quest, convince him that he still has some good to do, and then tell him to wait in the lucky 38 forever cause I got like 5 more companions to go do.
Alexis Price I agree with him on some parts (and he his a wonderful husbando.) But i think that House is the best choice for the mojave (sorry my english)
Travis Mudd ..I know good times I didn't die that much. It was fun when I had mercenary grenade rifle then a ( greanade mini gun )it was cool we killed a lot of death claws , big death claws.
Enlisting the Enclave to take Hoover Dam and then crossing the NCR (working with Yes Man) by keeping the Dam AND New Vegas for yourself is THE BEST possible ending! Seriously, I was elated to find and unleash the Auld Lang Syne quest. Terrific story and very satisfying seeing how the land-grabbing over-taxing NCR gets humbled and broken back while the Legion gets wiped out.
Arcade is probably my favorite companion in New Vegas so far Nothing like having a sarcastic, witty, gay medical research to make your trek along the Mojave a fun one :> Not to mention I'm such a sucker for all the history references he blurts out, he fuels my inner historian
Æsir I bring it up because as a gay man who lives in area that absolutely despises the LGBT community I get excited seeing Canon gay or trans characters since I don't see usually see much representation. Him being gay isn't the only reason I love Arcade, he's a sarcastic history dweeb that sucks at lying and wants to do good in the world. Him being gay is just a plus for me :)
Æsir Just,, sexuality? I guess. Like I said, that's not only reason I love Arcade. He's a fucking dork and silly and all his endings are sad except for one. Please help hi m
Definitely my favorite character - smart but not pompous when he shares, capable but doesn't let it go to his head, well-read and witty but very casual about it, observant but open to outside perspectives, all-around best companion if you're not on a Legion totalitarian rage monster playthrough.
Sad to see there isnt much of a good ending for arcade in the end. I thought if he'll help the ncr he might get some kind of VIP NCR citizen or something. Instead he's hunted down by rangers or gets into prison.
I don't know, I think the one where he settles down and becomes a teacher fits him. He's such a wellspring of knowledge that I'm sure his students could contribute a lot to the Mojave.
I decided the one in which he goes to Boneyard and becomes a doctor, that way Vegas remains independent under House's rule and it can progress, House is the best option for the New Vegas wasteland in my opinion.
One at 40:00 this is when they talk about in fallout 2 when you make it to Navarro and you are trying to pass as a private on the enclave military base and the Sargent yells at you for not having power armor!! That’s crazy cannibal Johnson was there when it was happening!
I just love how ED-E is hovering behind him. It's precious. Him and ED-E are my go to traveling companions. >I actually accidentally activated Archimedes once WITH him in my party (along with a Vulpes). He didn't attack me but I was afraid he would - I did sadly lose him as I'd forgotten to do that glitch to keep him after his quest (my mods don't let me use rehired.)
This is the thing missing in Fallout 4. A 1,5 long video worth story about a otherwise secondary NPC starting a sidequest. with that it would be the perfect game. and its for sure missing in Fallout 76 :-(
his quest is one of my favorite ones. it goes to show how just because they were in a bad group doesnt mean they are bad as well, just like some raiders do feel loss aka the raider in f4, so do some enclave people. this is how you make a great game, not the shit bethesda does.
25:30 Ox: We purposefully... Or *inadvertently* armed the ARCHIMEDES orbital satellite weapon! Arcade: YoU aCtIvAtEd ARCHIMEDES!? WhAt ThE hElL ArE yOu ThInKiNg!? Man, that made my night! 😂😂😂😂 P.S I remembered my first playthrough, I thought I could give HELIOS One back to the Brotherhood if I activated ARCHIMEDES, but after seeing that the Legion takes over, I reload my save, and helped the NCR for the rest of the game lol 😂😂😂😂
Agreed.. I always saw this quest as giving these former enclave soldiers a true shot at redemption and “clearing their names” sort of thing but the NCR and brotherhood hold grudges that run deep unfortunately..

And even better knowing the Remnants had Mrs. Gannon's baby boy fighting with them. Swoop in on a vertibird, guns blazing, show the NCR how it's done.
Wait so which is better. Legion or NCR

TURTLE HIMSELF Did you just assume the Courier's gender? Check your fucking privilege!
The courier is a synth! How else would a 'person' survive two shots to the head, and living without a brain, heart and spine XP
rom65536 Same here but with the DLC companions added in.
I love that referrence to Fallout 2's Sgt. Dornan. "WHY ARE YOU NOT IN UNIFORM!?"

"several minutes" ? don't exagerate.

An interesting observation, guess they’re a little more complex than the American Power Armour Nazis they’re often portrayed as...
Most people are more complicated than you might think. I also imagine that given that the VP in fallout 2 ended up feebleminded due to one of the experiments mentally crippling him there may be more sympathy and understanding about that.
They needed soldiers.
Makes sense. Considering how inbred most of them likely were, it makes sense that there'd be some with defects like mental retardation.

According to the NCR helping defend the most useful thing in their possession still gets you tried for war crimes and sentenced even though you never fought, nice
This is why the NCR is not "the good guys."
- A democratically elected leader doesn't support the NCR? The NCR orders their assasstion.
- The NCR sends in a negotiator to get POWs released and they agreed? Good, now wipe 'em out.
- Allies fought on our side in exchange for a treaty? Forget 'em.
- Women, men, children, the elderly, they're all killed equally once a group has been labeled a threat.
- And as Mr. House said, wherever there's a resource the NCR wants, they'll invent an excuse to occupy, and declare it legal in their Senate.
But in their eyes, and the eyes of US gamers, they remain heroes.
*wE sPrEAdInG dEmOCrAcy*
Sadly US gamers can rarely even figure out what the NCR is doing is wrong, as every atrocirty the NCR does is based off of things the US actually does do.
However I'd like to point out that they dont straight up execute him,nor do they hand him over to the brotherhood if he's caught. His actual fate is unknown, and he may be pardoned by the courier if the ncr ending is canon.

I was really sad to see you didn't cover the ending where Arcade pulls a Cato and rips out his insides with his bare hands. Would have been a great connection seeing as how he references Cato quite a bit in his other dialogue.
If arcade isn’t happy, I ain’t happy!
X2
Is he ever happy?
My Second belief is that Arcade Gannon would be the Best hope for the Enclave. He has the Bravery and sole of his Father. He would make a good leader for the Enclave. Thirdly is that maybe some Remnants became Gunners but I doubt that.
Enclave Leader I agree.
President Gannon has a nice ring to it
I never realized he was tall until you mentioned it
Great voice acting:
Overt flirtation will get you ... everywhere!
I laughed so hard at that
32:03 giggitty.
Also, Canibal Johnson would've made a great companion.
Yeah it would have been great to have him around
Man, the Enclave is so fascinating to me. I really wish we could learn more about them. Despite the fact that they are traditionally depicted as the "bad guys" I do believe that after Mr. House they have the best shot at re-civilising America. Provided that they have the morality of, say, the Minutemen.
Yan Alkovic Same here if they had the ideology of the Minutemen.
+Alexis Price Thanks. That's a very interesting avatar, by the way. The Russian Double-headed eagle with the Greek Orthodox symbol chi-rho for Christ. Could you tell me why you chose it? My curiousity is piqued.
Why is everyone so obsessed with 'rebuilding' America?
Just let it be.
+Æsir Well, for me, re-building society is the whole point of an apocalypse! You can make this wonderful but totally flawed thing again, but this time with fewer flaws. Hopefully. But that's just me.
@@drivernephi2792 don't be an ignorant piece of shit
I have too many to keep track of!" X'D
This is actually pretty interesting to know about though. I know what to do for one of my characters now! Thanks! :D
Halarious
I think it’s a really cool concept for companions to have an end to traveling with you that isn’t you just telling them to go wait in a room somewhere till the heat death of the universe. It gives a natural jumping out point to grab a new companion. I love Boone and he should have had a similar treatment with going to support his old squad. As it is now you get through his heart wrenching quest, convince him that he still has some good to do, and then tell him to wait in the lucky 38 forever cause I got like 5 more companions to go do.
16:06 This is actually hilarious because Caesar literally says in his dialogue that the Colorado will be his Rubicon
"Hm, that seems appropriately resolute, yet vague" lol
I share a lot if not all of Arcade Gannons's reasoning, thoughts and opinions.
Alexis Price I agree with him on some parts (and he his a wonderful husbando.) But i think that House is the best choice for the mojave (sorry my english)
Alexis Price
So are you an anarchist?
Arcade shreds deathclaws when paired with ED-E. I just sat back and watched them now down everything in the quarry.
Also fun fact “for auld Lang syne” translates into “for old long time”
But is thought to have meant “for old times sake”
Arcade is probably my favorite companion in New Vegas so far
Nothing like having a sarcastic, witty, gay medical research to make your trek along the Mojave a fun one :>
Not to mention I'm such a sucker for all the history references he blurts out, he fuels my inner historian
Slowpoke I always thought it would have been better if Obsidian hired Matthew Perry to voice Arcade instead, for obvious reasons.
What has him being gay to do with anything?
It's like the least interesting aspect of a person.
Slowpoke
Sorry for the late reply.
There is no "LGBT" in New Vegas. What are you talking about?
That's the mojave to you
I decided the one in which he goes to Boneyard and becomes a doctor, that way Vegas remains independent under House's rule and it can progress, House is the best option for the New Vegas wasteland in my opinion.
@@envfynestt9132 so much for a democratic pre war government
48:41 I thought the greybeards were peaceful
Just watched the whole video, despite what arcade is saying, he's very interesting!!
very intervesting
Yes he is a well educated philosopher with is very hard to find in the wasteland
25:30
Ox: We purposefully... Or *inadvertently* armed the ARCHIMEDES orbital satellite weapon!
Arcade: YoU aCtIvAtEd ARCHIMEDES!? WhAt ThE hElL ArE yOu ThInKiNg!?
Man, that made my night! 😂😂😂😂
P.S I remembered my first playthrough, I thought I could give HELIOS One back to the Brotherhood if I activated ARCHIMEDES, but after seeing that the Legion takes over, I reload my save, and helped the NCR for the rest of the game lol 😂😂😂😂
5:03 that moment he tells you the truth but it sounds so outlandish you write it off as a joke.
Cool
"I'm thinking I'm going to get a sweet pre-war laser. What are you thinking? I lost it right there great voice acting on that line hahaha
The most hurt I've ever been in my life was when Arcade took off after he gave me the Tesla armour.
HeartachesByTheNumbers.mp3
Maxie Karn do the best option which is where before going to the bunker dismiss arcade you can keep him as a companion
@@thomashothersall859 YOU CAN DO THAT?????? THANK YOU!!!!
Yes deep hurt 🤕
Finally, Daddy Gannon is here!
Honestly, best comment for the best follower
You called?
That ending is bull he helped the good guys defend a place that gives everyone clean water and hes just hunted like a animal
Agreed.. I always saw this quest as giving these former enclave soldiers a true shot at redemption and “clearing their names” sort of thing but the NCR and brotherhood hold grudges that run deep unfortunately..
[Is born into the Enclave which falls apart while you're still a kid]
[Gains NCR infamy]
