Someone commented on the fuse. Mine does the same exact thing. I had it running a week ago. And now it does that. The issue I have, these can-ams are POS. Me and my girlfriend have 2 450 outlander, 2018. And they both have been to the shop. There was a recall, but Can-am nor the dealer told us. Both fuel pumps have been changed out. Mine has 208 miles, hers has under 100. My big brother has a 1991 Yamaha and it runs fine. A class action lawsuit should be started. These bikes are lemons! Oh, I didn't finish. Both our bikes went to the shop, and now we took hers out. It ran fine. A few months later, it runs like shit. Mine was fixed. And about 5 months later it starts. The following week.....BAM! Now it just turns over and over.
My 2023 Outlander Max 850 with 30hrs just left me stranded in the woods. The Limp Home Mode was on the dash. Had it towed out of the woods and to a dealership. Dealership said the fuel was low, the fuel pump got hot and popped the 10 amp fuse that goes to the fuel pump. New fuse and she fired right up! Lesson learned. Carry extra fuses and don’t run it extremely low on gas! Hope this helps someone
2021 Renegade X Xc 1000R here... Was way out on a ride in the Colorado Rocky Mountains yesterday trying to finish break-in... coming down the mountain my wheeler just stalls and "Limp home mode" is rolling across my HUD. Long story short, I was able to coast-ride down the mountain to some folks that were camping and we tried for ~30mins to figure out why it wouldn't start... to no avail. 😞 ---------- Dude / and his girlfriend were VERY cool, offered to load my ATV onto the nose of his trailer and drop it off at my house today on his way home from camping. I even got to ride in his $60k Can-Am 4-seater back to my truck! I will be going over all of the fuses (again) this afternoon... hopefully it's something simple that I missed. ---------- All of my (our) diagnostics point to no fuel... which is weird -- because I can hear what sounds like the fuel pump kicking on when the ATV is turned 'ON'. 🤔 ---------- HOPEFULLY he doesn't just drive away with my brand-new ATV. LoL. Last night was unsettling laying my head down on my pillow KNOWING that my wheeler was up in the Rockies on some random dude's trailer who I don't even know. Gotta love the "riding" life! It will ALWAYS leave you with stories to tell!!!! 😅
So my machine is acting just like yours. I went for the fuse box and replaced a relay and the 10amp fuse for the fuel pump and no go. You mentioned switching a 5amp fuse and I wonder if I am looking in the wrong box. I am in the box on the handle bars. Where is the fuse you replaced? Thx
You are absolutely correct! Can’t believe it was an easy fix … switched the winch 5amp fuse with the fuel pump one … and boom… started. It was my last resort before towing … I owe you a beer!
This just happened to me. I was searching for an answer all day and came across this video and comment. My fuse box had an extra fuse in it and it was in fact the fuel pump fuse! 👍
Sounds like a faulty fuel injector. Can am's Don't like water unless you sprayed all the electrical connectors.. hell all Atvs should come already with electrical grease in each connection. Warranty!! Your dealer should come pick it up.
@@timber452 There should be spare fuses inside the fuse box lid. You can get better quality auto or manual reset mini blade fuses but I swapped my stock Chinese made Can-Am 5 amp fuel pump fuse for what looked like a better quality 5 amp fuse & no problemo's so far.
@@stevejames875 I was taught to use starting fluid sparingly some combustion chambers react differently, iveco engines & their pre heat are a bad combo for either. I’ve used it for the same years & experiences are either lock, washed out cylinders. Moderation’s

Did you figure it out? I think you either have a blockage in your gas line or the gas shut off valve was turned off… let us know!

Can also be a relay my brand new bike just blew a relay the 303 12V I would buy one as a spare because they don’t come with spares

battery is too low ,check fuse holder they get loose ,sounds like fuel is not getting to it check injector connections

Same bike same exact thing at 68 miles on odometer this is factory defect imo.
What was the problem with your ATV?

Fuel pump bad. And if you keep spraying that starter fluid to it you gonna fry the pistons
No starter fluid… ever… you’ll blow the heads off. Possible to injure self sounds like your fuel pump/filter has issues
No you won't blow the heads off, I've used starting fluid for 50 years and have never blew the heads off of anything!

74 km!! Hahaha!! Should have bought a Suzuki!! I bought a 2022 last sept. I have 2776 km trouble free!! and also 138 hours.
