TATA consultancy Services (TCS) alone is employing 6 Lakhs employees in IT sector. How confidently this guy is saying 5 lakh in total IT sector. This is the kind of people guiding pak.

I am impressed how Shahzad stood his ground against Jumman Chacha. The statement that chacha may have the figures but his conclusions based on that data are wrong is gold.
Pakistan was never one of the ten most growing economies. You are telling white lies. Pakistan has consistently been an IMF borrower since 1958.
Bangladesh has now a per capita GDP higher than India, with strong steady growth rates over years. But it also goes to the IMF. One has to do with balance of payments and other is growth they are not mutually exclusive... IMF is a creditor like other with low interest rates but " political " strings attached to it

some common paki lies to counter - 1) India GINI has gone dramatically down not up as of latest consumption survey - the inequality narrative is a meme, (2) India extreme poverty now under 2 percent not including free food grains, multidimensional around 14 percent and rapidly reducing. they keep talking in reverential terms about China lifting 700 million out of poverty but fail to mention that India has now done the same (3) way more than 500k people work in Indian IT- one company TCS itself has 600k employees. real number is probably 10x that at the very least and growing at 10 percent plus per year and that's not including offshoot benefits e. g swiggy has 6k corporate employees but 300k delivery drivers, ola uber have created 5 million driving jobs which pay a modest lower middle class wage.

Wrong: IT employment in India is 5.4 Million (i.e., 54 lakhs. Not 5 lakhs)
Wrong: India GDP crossed 4T$. Not 3.2T. If you include the informal, it's already in the 5+T range.
Wrong: Super rich is a problem only if: 1) they hide their money in mattresses and/or 2) interfere with the Constitutional democracy. Otherwise, it's irrelrvant. Apparently every car sold generates additional demand and India sold 4.1 million last year with average price going up significantly. 2 wheelers sold is almost 20 million plus .. just see the infra spend and u wud know the kicker is on it way .. last quarter was 8.4 %

When an IT company sets shop in India, they need building , electricity, catering and all other services. So India is training other professionals like plumbers, electricians , brick workers etc. They might be working in informal sector but earn much more than a junior software developer ! Same thing in Western countries. Show me an electrician, plumber working in 9 to 5 company in Europe / US. They are all contractors.

@sadenb Sir, In the last few years the economic conditions in the US changed a lot. There are many plumbers in the US earning 2-3 times that of an IT guy. All IT guys are not IIT graduates... A single house call to fix a single plumbing service requiring a couple of hours of work, can easily cost the service receiver $500. Similarly.. an automobile service is 3-4 hundred dollars for a small job. I have been living in the US for over 40 years.

The guest was alive during the whole time when these events of history were happening. The host was only alive for like 25 years providing knowledge he has read in a book. Let the guy speak the reality that he has seen or even has worked in. Lol let the guest speak and absorb what he is saying then ask questions.
Dr. Ishrat Hussain's "Governing the ungovernable" is an exceptional book. It elaborates the problems & remedies of the governance in Pakistan.

There is always mention of how India undertook the 1991 reforms that put it on the road to becoming an economic power .
But the reason why India could do it or rather why India HAD to do it because of the greatest Geopolitical event of the 20th century - collapse of the Soviet Union .

In both these timelines Pakistan was helping US in war in Afghanistan and because of it Dollars USD were flowing in Pakistan. Your point about automation, i work in the west and its an issue even in developed countries, not just developing. What the gentlemen above doesn't realize is the informal sector in india is quite strong. With the kind of infrastructure that's getting built and how the middle class is starting to bulge, guys from the informal economy are making a lot of money. They will never show up in the financial analysis but are more well to do than most engineers and tech workers. the only thing they ought to do is pay taxes for the betterment of the nation. India is also steadily diversifying, think we will be one of the pioneers with regards to AI and block chain going forward.

Zia also created the terror infrastructure which haunts Pakistan till day. Until terror infrastructure is completely destroyed, no foreign investment will come up.

So, there is no empirical evidence for what you claim. Shahzad has many guests on where they have a critical discussion on Pakistan's state of affairs and history. But yes, in the comment section, you have Indians (many of the BJP IT cell types) who like make that a basis to take a dig at... So be it, whatever helps their low self-esteem

I have read many articles by pakistanis and watched many videos where they write and talk about South Asian integration , soft borders , South Asian union like the European union , when France and Germany become friends why can't India and Pakistan blah blah blah .
Not once have I seen them mention that pakistan rejected being part of the South Asian motor Vehicle Agreement that later Bangladesh Bhutan India and Nepal came together to form the BBIN .
Few days ago, Beena Sarwar podcast came up . She is involved in Aman ki asha organization . I watched her video on the UA-cam channel Black Hole titled " why we need a South Asia Union? "
In a Hour and Half long video , she talked about Soft Borders , trade in tomato etc etc but did not even once mention the South Asian motor Vehicle Agreement .
