Forget about whether Bharat wants to trade with Pakistan or not, all Pakistanis should understand this clearly: Jab tak Pakistani Army totally aapke civilian/ political control ke under nahi aati, tab tak Pakistan koi trade nahi kar sakta Bharat ke saath....thats because Pakistani Army can stop everything anyday, as per their agenda or convenience and that uncertainty can never allow business/ trade/ investments to grow and sustain between communities across the borders...
So, you all have to sort out the matter of civilian control of your Army before talking about any progress... also, its important for the civilians in Pakistan to maintain control of military apparatus, because the Pakistani Army can easily crowd out all business/ trade opportunities and investment inflows into Pakistan and use that for their enrichment and nothing will then reach the civilian population, which would be counterproductive...

India does not need Pakistan. Pakistan is on the brink of bankruptcy that is why it is seeking trade with India to bring down its sky rocket inflation. It is in India's national interest to keep Pakistan on perpetual poverty and dependent of foreign debt.

I have listened to many similar podcasts and what surprises me is that some in Pakistan feel that India is falling over itself to trade with Pakistan. They conveniently forget or say it different language, it is Pakistan who needs the trade far more than India. India is doing very well on exports without Pakistan.
These "so called" Pakistani intellectuals seem to have mastered the art of talking without a context and firm objective. They seem to love hearing their own voices.
There can be no trade at all until and unless illegally occupied PoK and Gilgit Baltistan are fully vacated with no if and but.
Add Aksai Chin - as it was gifted to China illegally by Pakistan! Without all the territories return and complete full stop to cross border terrorism ( in actual performance not just talk) we may consider trade resumption!
Difficulty is after Kargil, Mumbai Attack for India trusting Pakistan is very difficulty.
Trade would benefit Pakistan more than India.
1. Goods would be cheaper (due to less transportation cost and cheap labour).
2. Pakistan has shortage of US dollars as foreign currency reserve. So, India and Pakistan can workout a mutual agreement for trade in rupees.
3. Pakistan can invite India to invest in Pakistan and have joint ventures. Capital is short in Pakistan but not in India.
4. As Indian industry would have stakes in Pakistan, India would have stakes in the stability of Pakistan.
Though I am sceptical. When China, the dearest friend of Pakistan and with the guarantee of army, is not able to operate comfortably and its investments not safe, it would be a wishful thinking that it would good for India to trade with Pakistan.

I hope no trade takes place between India and Pakistan. We dont think alike. We will not vote any govt in India that keeps soft corner for Pakistan. You promote terrorism and we are anti terrorism. Hence no deal on trades or resuming talks.
TRADE, BLOOD AND WATER CAN'T FLOW TOGETHER.
It's always questionable with whom India will talk with Pak about starting trade.
Change our mentality. Why ? What's in for us?
Why the F is everyone in your country is just so obsessed about end conflict and start trade?? Like why?? And irony is nobody in your country says how to end conflict, like not perpetrating terrorism and all; but expects from us to be extra friendly towards you. As if we never were in the past but ever questioned that what did we get instead?? Bombs and killings and Kashmir isn't ours narratives...how isn't Kashmir of India when their king decided to go with us...and more Muslims live in rest of India than J&K and everyone is a part of my country and are my fellow Indians.
Secondly, don't guys have any other sources of income other than trading with us. Why don't you just go to your unofficial master Mr. China?? Beg for help, why bother us?? Repair your relationships with Afghanistan and Iran. Where did your bff from 70s or 80s go, Mr. USA?? Go to them....go...go...go...
