I became transfixed by their music in the late 70s and became a high school history teacher because of Iron Maiden. All these decades later, some of their songs, like this one, still gives me goosebumps.
Emperor's Champion Awesome! Sabaton was way after my time, but surely would have inspired me, as well - if not more! As it was, with Iron Maiden, my personal research as a kid to understand The Trooper started it all!
I’ve listened to Iron Maiden since the mid 80’s when I was in high school. What a trip to see younger generations digging this style of rock music. It’s quite refreshing to see.
"I feel like something is about to happen" - This is the quality and trademark of Iron Maiden. Such a beautiful lady listening to a beautiful band. It's like a match made in heaven.
My first concert. 1984, Fresno California, Selland Arena. Iron Maiden and Twisted Sister. Great show. Both bands were sweet but Iron Maiden in particular were amazing. Flawless live performance. Smoking hot. My ears rang for 2 days lol.
The lead singer Bruce Dickinson is a classically trained singer and also a commercial airline pilot. He flies the band around the world to perform. Also he was ranked 8 in England in fencing! He's a truly talented and interesting guy.
Iron Maiden, one of the best selling bands many people have never heard of. Even now, they still sell out most of their shows. (Was at their Montreal show with my 11 year old this summer, sitting literally in the last row at the back. Even in their late 50's and early 60's these guys still have it.)

Love this. I remember to this day the first time I played ‘The Trooper’ for my wife. The guitar intro got a cautious ‘wow’, then the vocal intro got a more upbeat ‘ok’. Then when the full band broke into that classic Maiden galloping rhythm, she perked up and loudly proclaimed, ‘Yeah, ok, I get it!’ One of the proudest moments of my life.
For someone like me who's been listening to Iron Maiden for 40 years, it's so weird hearing an adult saying in 2019 "so, I recently discovered this band (Iron Maiden)". I get it but it still feels weird. :D
@@scottwallace1 - Yeah but this generation has it much easier than my generation did. It is not a Maiden concert without Hallowed Be Thy Name as part of their encore. So many great songs. 40 years of incredible music and talent. I love her reaction!
I lately have seen a lot of black people reacting to rock/metal on their channels. I love it! A lot of people dont understand how much that rock was influenced by black artists of 40s-50s and such, a lot of people tend to tell me rock/ metal is a “white mans” genre, well they are wrong, music is diverse! The cool thing about rock music is that it is a mix of white/black music, very cool! Anyone can listen to anything! music has broke a lot of barriers!
While the Nordic countries still have the most metal bands per capita, the genre have started to expand more and more and there are established metal scenes in as diverse countries as Botswana and Iran. Really warms the heart of an old metalhead to see more and more people unite in their love for the music.

steve harris style of playing the bass ....slapping the bass strings gets the effect of a drummer playing on the rim of the drum....SO AWESOME.....adds a whole new sound to the sound

Her reaction is so pure! 😃😃😃
Love your reaction to the guitar solo.
First time I heard maiden was in World History class 2004 with Alexander the Great. Thank you, Mr. Walters :)

Andy B Yes sir, born and raised
@@adamwillis679 Nice. I grew up in the Sheppard & Kennedy area.
You are a very fortunate man.
Possibly the greatest Iron Maiden song of all time
This was a pleasure to see.
Maiden fan since I was 15 years im 25 and I have the joy of watching them live in Lima on the final frontier tour just amazing
Up the Irons!
Hey Wife go see them LIVE!!!
You have been blessed man, you can share this kind of excellence with your wife! 🙂
If you ever go to London, go to the tower of London. They act still have an iron maiden. They also have bitey ravens, but that's another story...
I think you need to get yourself some white hightops, some black spandex, a red tanktop, and some spiked wristbands and belt and get yourself to an Iron Maiden concert. Trust me...it will change your life!
Best band to see live
Love this version
You have a wonderful wife with a great attitude braddah.
Iron Maiden just made all car trips that much better...nice
You're lucky man, yeah, ... Long time ago, I still have some good memories. Good Luck to ya. And God for us all !
The Bell symbolises the bell used by the Sexton of St Sepulchre's Church which is across from Newgate Prison (Now the Old Bailey Court). The Sexton would ring the bell at midnight and shout "
All you that in the condemned hole do lie,
Prepare you, for tomorrow you shall die.
Watch all, and pray, the hour is drawing near,
That you before Almighty God will appear.
Examine well yourselves, in time repent,
That you not to eternal flames be sent,
And when St Sepulcher’s bell tomorrow tolls,
The Lord above have mercy on your souls
Epic song band and concert
Up the Irons, sister. *UP THE IRONS!* 🤘🏼 🔥🔥🔥
You need to see them live, up the irons.
cool watching people discover new music.
i do the same with my wife when i throw on stuff like cube, nas, and nipsey
Iron maiden, the greatest band in history bar none. I say that as a u2 fan but maiden untouchable
You can pinpoint it... At 2:05... A Maiden fan was born! Welcome to the Fold Love. We welcome you.
Ma'am, your as cute as a kitten on Christmas day.
Drummer Clive Burr was dismissed after this album, died of MS about 7 years ago.
RIP.
lambjack1 not quite dismissed, he was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis so couldn’t drum as well. They continued to do benefit gigs for him for the rest of his life.

Nah
He was fired. It was acrimonious.
He wasnt diagnosed with MS til years later.
lambjack1 damn, I’ve thought that since 1983. I stand corrected!

👍🍺🎶
And whats so cool about Maiden is they have been doing this for 45 years and still doing it! They just kicked off a world tour earlier this year here in Florida. The guys are in their 60's!
And I love seeing new fans still discovering Iron Maiden after all these decades.Good music is timeless. Up The IRONS!
During a certain song, Bruce Dickinson (singer) will run all over the stage waving the Union Jack. Every performance of theirs always high energy.
Iron Maiden is late 20th century opera
Glad you both love some kick ass music!
One of the greatest songs ever
First saw this band support Judas Peist in 1980. No one had heard of them much then. Now look :)
Try "the duellist" amazing guitar and drums.
