maiden songs? Fear of the dark, number of the beast, run to the hills, Powerslave, The evil that men do, 2 minutes to midnight, Afraid to shoot strangers and Aces high jumps to mind immediately. So many years, so many albums... hard to pick a favorite
Congratulations on discovering the majesty of Iron Maiden! I've been listening to them for nearly 40 years and they are still my favourite band. Their music is quintessentially metal but I have met Goths, Punks, Rockers, Shoegazers and even Rappers who love their work. You can't beat good song writing irrespective of genre.
Fear Of The Dark, Ancient Mariner, Sign Of The Cross, The Trooper, The Clansman, Children Of The Damned, Afraid To Shoot Strangers. Always live with Iron Maiden as with Nightwish.
I've seen Iron Maiden live MANY times...its my boyfriends favorite band of all time. This band is phenomenal live!!!Bruce's voice is unbelievable and the band completely rocks out!!😃love your new view on metal & your open mindedness.great reaction!!!😄
I´m 52yrs now and I remember like yesterday the first time when I heard Iron Maiden. It was winter 1981 and their second album Killers. Amazing band! And yet another band with one mastermind like Nightwish, this time it´s bassist Steve Harris (and Steve likes Nightwish very much!). Here you can see amazing drummer Clive Burr in action. Great stuff. Great reaction, thanks a lot!
Helloo , I will recommend "Fear of the Dark" some live version probably from Santiago de Chile is the best. Just for a little info I am so proud that i saw them life in 1995 and this year both concerts in Bucharest.
One exception on the live songs. My favourite song, Alexander the Great, as far as I know is and never will be played live. The official video and song are more then worth it to react to (use with lyrics!)
I saw them live in Brisbane, Australia over 40 years ago was a very good concert. I just turned 60 this year, I'm one stripe away from my black belt in BJJ, I put Iron Maiden on when we are rolling.
As other's have said, Fear of the Dark is a great one, as are Rime of the Ancient Mariner and Number of the Beast. Great music all around. If you want more of a deep cut, check out Run to the Hills.
@@carthuscrass2343 Perhaps. Here in Sweden you either hear run to the hills, or the number of the beast on radio when they rarely play maiden at all... Occasionally you could hear 2 minutes to midnight and the trooper too, but not that often.
I've been following you lovely people on your Nightwish journey and very happy you've found Iron Maiden too. They are fellow Londoners and I saw them on this particular tour. Other popular songs - 'Run to the Hills' , 'The Trooper', '2 minutes to Midnight' , 'Aces High' and many more! Bruce Dickinson is a great guy and superb singer admired world wide. He is a qualified pilot and has flown the big Boeing Iron Maiden plane from Country to Country on world tours! Keep up the good work. 😃 🙂
The automated subtitles are hilarious ;-) ("I'm waiting in my cold cell when the bell begins to chime" becomes "I'm waiting in my old sound when the all begins to shine")
Maiden released a new album last year and are currently touring, so still going strong - concerts have generations of fans, so plenty of people walking around young and old with Maiden gear. 😉
Great reaction! A few more song suggestions (all live): Rime of the Ancient Mariner The Clansman Seventh son of a seventh son Dream of Mirrors The Evil that men do Aces high
You are never too old to attend a Metal concert! I am in my 50s and am going to see Iron Maiden live this coming October! Always enjoying your reactions. Cheers!!
I saw them on this tour. Iron maiden my second favorite band . Next to the best band of all time. You might of heard of them, Black Sabbath. Godfathers of metal hallowed be thy name y favorite Maiden song ever ever. Masterpiece.
This is probably the most popular Iron Maiden song. The next is probably Fear of the Dark, needs to be played live (Do live at Rio) Maiden didn't get much radio play, they got popular from their great music and their extensive touring. I've been listening to Iron Maiden since 1982, at the age of 15. To give you a complete list of Iron Maiden recommendations, see my list below. Greeting for Iowa, USA. Like Sabaton, Iron Maiden have done numerous songs that cover historical events. I would recommend these: Alexander the Great - Title pretty much says it all. The Trooper - Charge of the light brigade in the 1854 Crimea War Aces High - 1940 Battle of Britain The Clansman - William Wallace versus the British The Longest Day - 1944 invasion of Normandy Invaders - 10th century Viking invasion (warning, lots of gore) I would also recommend Fear of the Dark. Stay safe and well.
Dominika, you were wondering how many youngsters actually know Iron Maiden. I would say: a lot. Iron Maiden concerts tend to be family events for some. By that I mean that you can find parents with kids as young as 10 years old on the concerts. Three weeks ago I was on the concert in Warsaw and beside me there was a father with, I would say, 12 yo son. The young one rocked hard!
Awesome one guys . Welcome to the Iron maiden family this would have to be one of their best songs and everybody is on point from the singer🎤, guitarist 🎸, drummer 🥁, Bass player🎸. I truly love this song from a musicians point of view on musicianship and how well everybody in this video performs considering how old the song is (coming up to 50yrs old and still going). The amazing thing about this song is we listen to the song from start to finish but never get told of what the crime is , it is just left out in the open for us to decide which is interesting.nice reaction guys love it.❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍🥝🇳🇿
After you play a song enough times muscle memory kicks in and they can play it without thinking about it. That's why they can run around and perform and their fingers already know what to do. You guys are great!
And another rabbit hole is found :) So many great songs to delve into. You may have heard them on the radio in Europe, here heavy metal at that time very rarely maid mainstream daytime radio and there were no dedicated rock stations. If you've heard them at all then it would probably be something like The Trooper, Flight Of Icarus or Aces High. I'd highly recommend Rime Of The Ancient Mariner, based on the poem of the same name by Coleridge.
Children of the damned, fear of the dark, afraid to shoot strangers, and (the evil that man do)/list goes on an and on . Loving your channel, people discovering metal is such a moving thing for me, since most people I encounter in work or life in general has that view that it's just noise (granted, some of it is noise). Seeing people discover the beauty that for me has been obvious since childhood (thanks to my friends older brothers). It's captivating, and beautiful. There's so much to discover, and it feelslike you're both going to keep on that journey even without the react part of it, and thats also beautiful. But thanks for letting us tag along for the ride.
What a wonderfull reaction to one of my favourite bands. But if you like melodic metal may i suugest you try rainbow with stargazer. keep up making these great authentic reactions. love you guys Up the irons
UP THE IRONS !! Well chosen.......another nice Rabbithole to dive down 🙂 More of them ? Fear of the Dark, The Trooper, Number of the Beast, Run to the Hills, The Evil that Man do, 2 Minutes to Midnight, Aces High...ohh...and all the others....There is soo much... Good Choice ! This is Heavy Metal at its best ! And very good that you are open-minded enough that you try this stuff...as you say...Metal is more than just Noise...most of the time. Maiden is a very good example for that....Most of the Metal-Fans are more open minded than you think...
So funny that you guys are reacting to this now. I just started my Iron Maiden journey last night and have not been disappointed at all! Wicked band. Late to the party, but happy I’m there.
Great choice there guys! Iron Maiden always make good people happy! I saw them live a month ago and they were as spectacular as ever! Please react to some more of them. And always live versions. And to answer the question, yes it is the same music day after day in their concerts and songs that they know how to play in their sleep BUT it is never exactly the same. There are so many variables to a live concert. The band can be at its best or it can be tired or in foul mood, the crowd can be amazing or kind of meh....so many variables. So it is never the exact same thing. That's why some performances are better than others. It is live music. It is so unpredictable as it is to wake up everyday and go on with your life. We repeat certain things but it is never the same. I hope my huge answer helped a little. 😛
I took my daughter to see these a couple of weeks ago in Barcelona, oh my word, simply amazing, still filling stadiums & incredible show !!... and, just for good measure, Within Temptation & Airborne were the guests.. what a night that was 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Oh,, also,, Iron Maiden & Queen & now also Nightwish are quite possibly the 3 best live bands to have ever graced our planet ( and ive seen a lot of bands in last 35yrs)..
Now I'm an old boy, 60 years old, and have followed them from the beginning. And I'm still surprised that young people still become Iron Maiden fans. It can be clearly seen on their live videos. Now they're becoming some old boys, and will probably soon pass the torch on. Hope the Japanese band Lovebites, which consists of 5 young ladies, and has as much talent as Iron Maiden, will become worthy takers of the eighties metal genre. Hope one day you will see a video with the 5 young women from Lovebites.Best regards from the kingdom of Denmark.Up The Irons🤘
My first Album of the Band 1982 the Number of the Beast - I was 14 years old- 2022 - 40 years later with long hair like Bruce here in the Video - i love this Song
The smiles on your faces say it all....
The look of pure joy on your faces is priceless!
maiden songs? Fear of the dark, number of the beast, run to the hills, Powerslave, The evil that men do, 2 minutes to midnight, Afraid to shoot strangers and Aces high jumps to mind immediately. So many years, so many albums... hard to pick a favorite
Brother I can’t pick a favorite.
For post ‘80s and ‘90s Maiden, A Matter of Life and Death is my absolute favorite album.
All I can say Donington 1988 and Rhyme....
I've been listening to Iron Maiden since the early 80s and it's extremely hard to pick a favorite because they're all outstanding
For The Greater Good Of God is a epic song
This is the Purest heavy metal
Also, rest in peace Clive Burr, your contribution to this amazing band lives on. Thank you 🤘
THE BEST BAND OF THE HISTORY

One of the best reaction videos ever, loved it. Thank you!
Great reaction. There is a message in Heavy Metal. It's been overlooked for decades. Great writing !
Not just message, great melodies, great musicians, great musicianship, a lot of skill and creativity
This band still tours. Saw them in the 80's. And saw them 2 years ago. They haven't lost a step. Find their tour schedule. Go see them.

Nice List! I think Senjutsu form their 2021 album of the same name should be added to that list along with Paschendale
Hallowed be thy name, es la canción de Iron Maiden que más impresiona cuando hacen una reacción, especialmente este video.
You need a longer journey with Maiden.Try Rime of the ancient mariner next.Great reaction.Up the Irons!
The thing about a big chunk of maiden songs is that they pump you full of good energy... Making you feel more alive somehow.
The amazing thing about this song is we listen to the song from start to finish but never get told of what the crime is , it is just left out in the open for us to decide which is interesting.nice reaction guys love it.❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍🥝🇳🇿
There’s two guitarists and the song turned 40 in March 2022
Just discovered you both this evening. Liked, subscribed. You’re intelligent, insightful, clearly love each other. Great fun for me. Thanks.
Good call. Actually a lot of the best rock/metal stars trained in classical or Opera growing up.
You two are amazing. Love being part of your journey.
welcome to the wonderful, fantastic and brilliant world of heavy metal🤘🤘
loving the back and forth convo in this vid hahahahahaha love this reaction so much hahahahhaha
Queensryche “take hold of the flame” Japan 1984. Vocals will knock your socks off. (That note he hits is an E5)
One of the best live tracks you will ever see, amazing.
After you play a song enough times muscle memory kicks in and they can play it without thinking about it. That's why they can run around and perform and their fingers already know what to do.
You guys are great!
Lol u are so fun...the husband, how do they play same all the time? Coz this is skill on instruments and is why i loooove metal.
Well chosen.......another nice Rabbithole to dive down 🙂
More of them ? Fear of the Dark, The Trooper, Number of the Beast, Run to the Hills, The Evil that Man do, 2 Minutes to Midnight, Aces High...ohh...and all the others....There is soo much...
Good Choice ! This is Heavy Metal at its best !
And very good that you are open-minded enough that you try this stuff...as you say...Metal is more than just Noise...most of the time. Maiden is a very good example for that....Most of the Metal-Fans are more open minded than you think...
Up the Irons. They still filling the biggest halls. Living legends :)
Love ya both. Stay frosty.
Enjoyed your reaction to this guys. Glad to have you here in the UK, I hope it's treating you well!
