You just showed up in my reccomended feed, but I never knew I needed to find a channel so bad lol. I love the way you explain why you do what you do, as you are doing it. It clears up a lot, and makes the video a very straightforward, easy to understand, streamlined video. I love it!
The finale was so sad...the music at the end...damn. I heard somewhere that the song in the final scene with the graves of the clones, was supposed to be a lullaby for the Clones. They could finally rest at last, the pain, the suffering, the war...it was all over. The at last can rest peacefully.

A common misconception is that the orange on the dome part goes all the way, I'm glad you got it right. It would have definitely looked cool if it goes all the way and also if the clones paint some parts of their armor orange other than the helmet but the clones were in a rush and it would make more sense if they just managed to paint half of the helm.

Glad to see you still at it. Thought I'd let you know the spot putty you have in the description is a two part you have to mix. I'm gonna use your zyltec code when they get some filament back in stock, felt weird using the unclejesy code when you recommend me the first time. When I finish my long delayed Mando helmet I'll grab your animated trooper helmet just gotta decide on the paint job.

I've been trying to make my helmets (and other projects) look a lot smoother. I'll be using your videos as references for now on.
Idk anything about 3D printing, but an easy way to reinforce the 3 main pieces of the helmet would be to use dowel joints like in woodworking. If you combined that with what you already do I doubt it would ever come apart at the seam. I enjoyed your video and it's great to have you back.

i hope this is seen!!! i would absolutely love to see a shore trooper helmet! every model i find is cut up into a million pieces but i would love a whole model!
For rough edges, I use a resist, latex based masking fluid for water colors. I take a disposable paintbrush and apply the resist along the edges of the tape, so when I pull the tape up, it leaves behind a very jagged edge. I found ripping tape sometimes allows an overspray streak unless I aggressively smooth the tape down. Also fiber/hair like edges that erk my OCD.

I recently ordered a 3d printer and have just ordered everything else needed to make a helmet, going to go with the regular Asohka helmet for my first try so wish me luck. In the future I would like to either print an arc trooper helmet for Jesse or a phase two waxer helmet. Awesome guides and may the force be with you

Welp, I didn't know about that "transform" tool in Meshmixer until now (I've been doing my plane cuts are extreme angles to get flat cuts!) so thank you for showing me this!! Helmet looks awesome, I'm hoping to print this soon and make my own 332nd!
The bondo matches the 333nd orange color pretty well, and it has all the random smudges and streaks.

For a quick join, I found that using a 3d Printing pen along the inside seams is a great and fast way to bond parts!

Something I haven’t seen made before and I’ve been looking forever has been a clone pilot phase 2 version one helmets. Not the ones in Rots or the yellow ones, but the ones we saw piloting the headhunters. Like hawks phase 2 helmet.
I really hope you get verified on UA-cam. You deserve it maybe more than other people.

The respirator at the bottom actually disconnects at the teeth seam on the phase 2 helmets abd ARC trooper helmets.
idk what it is, but theres something about Vaughn that makes him one of my favorite clones. we only got to see him in one episode, but he is still one of my favorites. rip Vaughn and Jesse and the rest of the 332nd

Not to slight your helmet in any way... But, this is the second one made I've seen and I'm making on one myself. And I just cannot get over the 7+ inaccuracies I've seen each time in the two helmets made. It just bugs my OCD. Ha. But, it's a beautiful helmet man. And you've poured a lot of hard work that has turned out pretty good. Great job, really...

just a suggestion, id recommend the pet safe screen for the mouth. its thicker, more durable and still cheap and you get a LOT in a roll. its the stuff you put on screen doors or patios and animal claws cant rip and tear it

Also could you please consider making a in-depth tutorial on how to print a helmet? Including where to put support structures etc. I'm really close to buying a 3d printer just to print your helmets but I want to be sure that I'm actually able to do it once I spend all that money :D
I know you already have a video on how you print your helmets but as I said a more detailed one would be nice.

Awesome build and great tips for filling and sanding. The only thing that is not quite right is the little chin piece. It seems like it is longer in the show. Otherwise it is nearly flawless.

I don't know if anyone has told you yet. You can save a lot of time if you make moulds of your smoothed helmets and cast them out of a roll or slush casting resin.
