I recently 3D printed Din Jarin’s helmet and I have a small printer so I had about 40 pieces, but because of that, if the print fails it isn’t really a big deal. The downside tho is that the gaps can be big and not align perfectly, but it turned out fine and it wasn’t too difficult. Hopefully I can get a larger printer soon.
I really like how the blue spots came out on this with the acrylics! I'm working on an Ursa Wren helmet commission and was struggling with how to get that brushed look and ... can't believe I didn't think of actually just using a brush and paint LOL

I really like the yellow on the helmet. It was a really good touch on both your, and the animators part. Welds actually make the metal yellow during a weld.
Love it, I'm staring at mine and as much as I love the paint job I did, seeing your welds not follow that molded line but being back further looks much closer to the real thing. But no way I can redo my welds now.. lol Also what I heard the tally marks were on his helmet and his forearms is the number of clankers he took out in his first battle.
It would be cool if you also did one that makes it more accurate to the films, there are a few figures of rex that have that helmet, it looks a bit more aggressive in my opinion. Great video!

Hey man great content. Have you considered making any OT armor? I think some stormtrooper helmets or deathtrooper helmets would look great. Maybe even tie pilot or x-wing pilot helmets. And for clone wars era maybe republic commandos. Awesome job on your work tho and can't wait to see more.
Could you please make a tutorial on how to make a classic Stormtrooper helmet? You haven't done that yet and I know that there are already some Videos about Stormtrooper helmets but they are not as good as your videos.

Imma say this right here right now Boba Fett he has always been one of my favorite characters and seeing his helmet being made would be quite cool. His helmet just has so many colors and textures it would really be a good project
id say a good guess would be each tally represents a time rex has taken an actual life wheter it be a normal combatent, general, or otherwise. he fights too many droids for it to be that and takesvout too many specialized droids for it either but very rarelely does rex ever end up killing another living being so it might make sense for him to want to have a reminder for each time hes had to do so
Just saying you should weather the helmet a bit more cuz right now it looks like it’s factory new but it’s just my personal preference, if you think it looks good then keep it, good job man looks great
Could you do a support material demonstration? No need to do the full cura settings, just show the parts when they come off the printer so we can see what to support😁

I have some critiques 1. The T visor has a curve to it and in the show it doesn’t 2. The blue is too light it needs to be closer to indigo or dark brilliant blue
You should make a Sgt. Hound helmet from the clone wars.

Edit: I think the tally marks are how many tactical droids or seperatist leader kills.

This is definitely one of your best helmet builds yet. Rex's helmet is so interesting and so was the process of making it.
Majestic helmet, nothing screams Clone Wars any more than that.
