Man. When he's harsh, he's damn harsh. But when he's building someone up, he cranks it to Cat 5 strength.
He is a powerful figure. Breaks the spirit of a stubborn person first, then is soft and understanding.
I hear in real life he is actually extremely nice and respectful. Angry Gordan is his Kitchen mode. How he had to act to make his restaurants successful
He’s a Scorpio for a reason
@@dankmheems290 you can't rule a businesses so big without an iron fist. I mean he's popular for a reason so he has to be strict and harsh when it comes to staff but that doesn't mean he's a bad person. It's just the business aspect that's harsh, as a person he's loving and caring he doesn't do it on purpose. This applies to most "human" bosses. The other category of bosses from whatever industries are indeed just plain evil.
It’s because of his harshness that his praise is so meaningful. It’s a fantastic and impactful form of leadership in the context it’s being used in.

That was a beautiful thing. I love it when Gordon expresses his positive side. He seems to get others to be more productive using that method than his other side we’ve all seen.
He needs to use that other side to break down and cut through the BS first. THEN he rebuilds the person with positivity.

Gordon was so nice to get that chef back on his feet, you can tell a man has passion for food when he starts to cry after tasting
What people don't understand about Food Service(good food not corporate bar food) is that it's an art and a science all in one. So many factors need to come together to make a dish right and any slight variation can ruin it. This already puts enough stress on a cook but add on top of that say poor management and bad working conditions(hot, humid, cramped, long long hours) and you get broken uninspired men like this Chef. He cried because in an instant he saw everything he wanted, good food, good leadership, and passion for the product.
lostsurferjames5 Artistry that requires the mentality of a commando. Few people who have not worked in the industry or spent time with those who have will get that concept
@@Noblity54 yes indeed, a kitchen staff is very much a unit when in full swing and just like a military unit, you're only as strong as your weakest link. Communication, attention to detail, stamina, and a level head are key and all the factors I mentioned in my previous comment are influences that can sink a kitchen. Its sad when, at least in my experience working in the industry(FOH and BOH), that poor management is the lead cause of good employees leaving.
@@Noblity54 mentality of a commando, WHAT ? No disrespect to chefs but saying you need the mentality of a fucking COMMANDO to cook food well is insane.

The Bible says in John 3:16-36 that whoever believes in the Lord Jesus Christ shall not perish but have everlasting life, the Bible also says in Romans 10:9 that those who declare with their mouth that Jesus Christ is their God, Lord, and Savior they shall be saved. Revelation 1:8 says that Jesus is the alpha and the omega. Luke and revelation is the ending times, and Jesus is returning back. So are you going to submit your life to him or no? Narrow is the path that leads to the gates of heaven, but only few people find it. The gates that is the path to destruction is where many people find it! Jesus loves you SO MUCH! Heck if you can find something you love and can make a career/money/living off of to support yourself hold on tight, enjoy the ride and be grateful you did because 88% of the world wishes they had that drive and blessing you found.
A great cook once said,
The most important people in a hotel is the guests.
It's so funny because that was the reason I quit the last restaurant I worked at - 1 month ago.

I worked in a hotel before and when they where not in their rooms I used to shit in their toilets

Chef eats food.
Chef cries.
Gordon: "Are you okay, Brian?"
Chef: "This is the last scallop we have on the fridge."
Gordon is a teacher, amazing father, the best chef, has a ton of shows, restaurants and makes everyone become better! What an inspiration!
Gordon: Makes Chef food
Chef: It’s dreadful, absolutely terrible.
Gordon: Yes Chef, thank you Chef.
Reverse card😂
This is downright heresy.

In a parallel universe
That is sweet. A collapse of pride and a return of passion.
666th like. I only replied to say that.
very insightful.
this chef was never prideful like so many others have been. it's insulting to call him that as if he were like them. this chef had fallen into a depression as a result of multiple factors which is why he lost his passion.
@@Farvadude im sorry but I think you got the wrong idea. I was trying to say that the owner was the one who lost pride and the chef was the one who got a return of his passion.
Lol *collapse*
That was legitimately my reaction after trying food after 4 months of an eating tube. Those four months felt like 10 years so it was special
Seeing Brian the chef get his passion re-ignited was one of the best things to experience. I love cooking, love chefs, love learning how to improve cooking. Hope Brian kept his passion.

Who wants to start a shitty restaurant with me and get Gordon Ramsay to come and verbally abuse us?
Only verbally?
lolfreak333 what else do you want?
I don't feel safe sharing that in public, sorry
I'd like to be your cook though. I'm good at flambe, sometimes a few buildings get burnt down but that's part of the job isn't it?
lolfreak333 you're hired
This is a powerful clip, Gordon was a Defibrillator to this man, shocking his heart bringing him back to life probably after 2 decades of mundane, un rewarding work.
Most people think you need someone like Gordon around to make things better but they fail to realize that you can bring to any kitchen what Gordon brought to that chef's kitchen you just have to be passionate about what you're doing and actually put forth even the effort to make what you're doing into what you have envisioned I love to cook and watching that man jump around while he watched Gordon cook really shows that if you're passionate about something it will naturally show.
