Thank you for the info. There are only a few coin channels that I watch and enjoy and your my favorite . The other thing about you that I like is that you actually talk unlike some others that just show a coin and I find myself wasting time trying to guess why Im looking at a coin. The other thing is that your a real person not just a A.I. voice . But again THANK YOU for explaining and showing us what your talking about.
The thing I like about your information gigs is that you are brutally honest and straight up and telling people what it is I take that same approach with myself because first of all you don't want to get your hopes up and being realistic and strict in determining grades for instance for what I may have
I've been collecting coins for many years; not selling just collecting so I guess that makes me a 'coin-collector'...and just now after watching this video, I finally get it....I have some serious work to do, many coins to go through. I have to do my homework. Thanks Daniel for 'stepping on my toes' and getting me moving again!
Exactly you have to get it checked out by some one who is qualified to say yes or no and why .thank you Daniel always go through proper channels to find out. Fabulous advice as always
Morning Daniel!🍵 Yep, ur just a dealer, and I'm just a collector, not a discoverer! I am glad you put out great info for so many aspects of the hobby! But for me it can get to where I can't see the forest for the trees!!😊
Thank you for the info. There are only a few coin channels that I watch and enjoy and your the main one that I watch .The other thing about you that I like is that you actually talk unlike some others that just show a coin and I find myself wasting time trying to guess why Im looking at a coin. The other thing is that your a real person not just a A.I. voice . They should not allow A.I voices on here. Thats my opinion. But again THANK YOU for explaining and showing us what your talking about.
Let me just say first that I’m a little easy to please... because if I have one penny and someone sees it and wants to give me a only one dollar for it, I’ve made 99 cents! Whoa! That’s good enough for me! Never mind someone paying hundreds or thousands of dollars.... I almost can’t understand that scenario. Thank you for being so candid and insightful in your videos!
Jeff Wiles in Texas with Coneca is super fast with you're coin. John Wexler in Pennsylvania takes a little longer but he's a great guy! I'd imagine it takes him a little longer cause a lot more people use him. But there both great guys and I appreciate what they do for our hobby! Thanks for what you do to Daniel.
Great message! I worked with JT Stanton, Bill Fivaz, and Rick Snow to attribute a new variety for the 1868 Indian Cent that I discovered a few years back.
Thank you for your informative show. Now I know who to show my error coins too. Thanks for letting us know that pcgs and other grading companies won't give a accurate grade on such coins. Thanks again. Love your channel.
Got a 89' Roosevelt Dime with DDO/R, and at some point it'll be sent out to be Certified, along with several other Coins which are definitely errors. Thank You for Each of Your Tutorials on Errors and Where to look up Info 👍
Another very informative video Daniel. If collectors have a few basic tools such as a scale and calipers they can answer a lot of their own questions in a matter of minutes saving many other people a time. Thanks Daniel.
Hi Daniel, I do believe most of what I've learned about coins in the last three years, I learned by watching and listening to you. I want to thank you for having shared so much of this hobby with all those beginners, self included, whom are just getting started in the hobby, your knowledge has made this hobby a meaningful endeavor for me to be involved with, to help pass the time, and make a few dollars at to boot. It sure sounds tough having to deal with so many people asking for direct assistance, when in fact that's not what you do. I understand where your coming from, it certainly can be a hindrance. I do, however, take the time to listen to your videos closely, learn what it is your teaching, and move on. So, once again, I wanted to take a moment to thank you for all you've attributed to the hobby; while keeping us entertained and informed. Yours is a special channel I get to visit daily that makes my life just that much more enjoyable. I do believe most of your viewers feel that way, and I for one just wanted you to understand there are those of us who appreciate you, and hope to have you to refer to for a very long time to come.
I got a 1809 half cent from Joe and Diane that seems to be a unmarked variety . with the research i have done thanks largely to your style of enabling self relience . my personal issue is not being confident enough to spend money yet . i am getting there.
I have a New Discovery Coin Listed on Variety Vista. It Is a NEW 1969 P DDO-003 Only 4 in the roll so as of now Kinda RARE till more are found. Keep Hunting they are out there. and LEARN what ya are looking for. Keep watching the videos Great way to learn.
🤘😁 thanks Daniel n yes u do help. N ur right u can research ur coins. Whenever i find something i just look it up on UA-cam too. Definitely saving this one for when i’m ready n research as much as possible. Ur awesome thank u 😁
Very helpful... u offer a lot for anybody looking for information &/or help... I'm gonna have to create an account to ur site eventually... Most likely, when I can't find the info for myself... i like trying to do things on my ownhaha...
Another great video. Makes me look forward to this weekend. I'll be visiting my uncle, and going through 2.5 - 5 gallon jugs full of coins he has be saving since the mid 80s to specifically look for variants, errors, and silver.
I'm a new coin collector in listening to you talk about this it reminds me of my career and many other careers pit people aspire to accomplish when they become older. If you decide to become a doctor you have to go by the educational rules the politics oh, you have to Wade through the dirty little secrets and most importantly you must abide by the rules of the profession and it seems like it's no different with coin collecting there are strict rules to adhere to and they're not going to change just cuz you think you have a really neat coin. Honestly I think all my coins that I found while two of them that has cool errors I think they're worth money I also understand There are rules and just cuz I think my coin is really cool and has an exceptional error does it mean it's worth more than five bucks if that's how the rules are. so in my resurged that's what I've discovered. abide by them make as much money as you can if you want to Buck the system find something else to do
I currently have a 2000 Lincoln with 1999 reversed on the reverse brokage. I have been dealing with Numismatists for 45years and learned not to trust anyone... unfortunately . Always get it checked out yourself....I trusted coin dealers that I knew for 20 years and they stole everything we had them send out for certification. We lost some really good error coins... including the 1956 boldly doubled on obverse and reverse both Lincoln cent. 🤬
Thanks Daniel very informative. I did find a 1943 p nickel, it's not in the best condition but it does have a rev. Lincoln cent stamped across the dome in Monticello. It was just an interesting find. I don't know how this happened being that Lincoln cent wasn't around till 1959. Someone really did a number on this nickel. Have a great day.
What about a coin from 1978 where the 7 looks like a slanted 1? Even under the scope it looks like a 1. It looks like it says 1918 but its a 1978 coin.
I got a foreign coin.. that have a double struck both reverse vs oberse .. ang possible for double denomination as the first mint is larger than the final mint ..
Hi. So I have a half dollar that the E in liberty on top of Kennedy's head is unfinished. The bottom doesn't finish into the hair. Have you ever seen that?
Thanks for this info. I recently found a new error on the new 2021 D Penny. On the reverse, the inscription, "United States Of America," is missing. Now, I have a starting point. 👍
I got the links now ty very much I was looking through my quarter dollar collection and I have a A couple of 2020 what I think are die crack errors the coin was the guy paint 🎨 a building in the background it called 2020 Weir Farm
I have 2 2009 at different stages with a silver splitting maul in the end of log lincoln is sitting on and other silver plating errors.chrome and copper no scratches near bu.
Is there a simple way to find out how many varieties of a coin were struck? I've got a 2010p Yellowstone quarter That weighs 5.7 grams(not silver) but has NO copper showing on the edge. I can't find anywhere that tells me if this is an intentional occurrance and that all non silver coins minted in Philly should have copper showing on the edge. Have you heard of others finding coins like this?
I ran across a 1943 Philadelphia mint nickel very skinny and the weight 2.7 G and it does not stick to a magnet but it does sound like silver I'm stumped
Gotta keep it real. If a person THINKS they have a special ANYTHING then THAT person needs to put in the leg work and not rely on someone else to do THAT person's work. You want the cream ya gotta milk the cow first.
I found this messed up coin in a box of pennies. It seems like it was struck multiple times and I'm hoping it came from the mint like this. It weighs 2.5grams it has the Lincoln penny head on front and memorial building on back and some of the features of the Lincoln penny but I can't make out much more on it. How can I find out more about it?
Thanks for this video. I have a discovery coin that I'm looking to get authenticated so I can get it PCGS graded for sale. I'm starting the research process this week.
Dan ; I have about 30 of 1943p pennies and they all stick to a magnet but how do I know if one is a zinc coated with steel ? How do you tell the difference?
I have a few coins that have no number at the very end is like faded out. you can see 200 but that's about it. some are full step they have a planchette error . Two or three of them have a letter p and they have time to errors is that the outer side of the coin because it's kind of like it looks damaged but it's not man-made damagea letter p
Thank you for this info. But I am skeptical on sending a coin to someone I don't know. How's that work? Or is it pretty much, trust me or don't that's up to you? Anybody's opinion is welcome on my not trusting people question.
Question, what is your opinion on this.... The Lincoln 2020- D Cent. Will the final mintage for the year, be much lower then 2019-D. Because the mint shut down for a few months, along with the shortage of coins in circulation. Will they make a billion less or so for the year. And would that create value. Of supply and demand.
Thank you very much for the info. I obtained 5 1959-D Penny rolls and I might have found an unknown error. I have searched all over and I cannot find this error anywhere. Yes, I have a couple of L on the rim and the W on the rim but this one I found is baffeling me.
