    *Disclaimer: Unfortunately, the UA-cam algorithm thrives on titles and thumbnails that could be perceived as clickbait. Although I find this particularly distasteful, as a means of reaching a new audience or encouraging my current audience to invest their time into my videos, I must work with the algorithm rather than against it. Statistics have highlighted just how effective aligning titles with the algorithm is and although this can be frustrating for many (myself included), I will always ensure that my titles:
    1. Never promote false promises or unrealistic expectations.
    2. Will more often than not ask a question.
    3. Are worded in a manner that although might be perceived a certain way, are still open to interpretation.
    Appealing to more potential viewers gives me the opportunity to further the spread of what I believe to be useful information surrounding the topic in question, in addition to a positive message which often surrounds mental health, with the goal of helping as many people as possible.
    It should also be noted that the majority of my videos are based on audience suggestions. ~90% of my audience are women, therefore, the majority of videos are created to appeal to my dominant audience.
    It must also be noted that although goals often vary amongst individuals, a lot of my opinions on movements are within the context of building muscle (hypertrophy) and therefore, should be considered with that in mind.
    Thank you for giving me your time.*

    I do love Keltie's videos but mostly for entertainment purposes and her enthusiasm for fitness, not for the health and fitness advice itself.
    As a fitness enthusiast myself, I sometimes feel Keltie relies too much on certain things such as coffee, pro-biotics (which have NO benefit on our system unless you've been told by your doctor you need to take them), and the harmless but expensive AG1. I dislike how AG1 have monopolised UA-camrs/podcasters ads, and the fact even reputable sources like Andrew Hubermans podcast allow them to advertise when they are simply overpriced green liquid and you can get the same if not better nutrients for way cheaper by simply consuming more fruit and veg.
    Living a fit and healthy life should not be that 'hard', you don't need all these overpriced mattresses, weird food concoctions, strict fitness regimes including strict X amount of mins in sauna/ice bath etc like I see in some of her vids.
    Sure there are benefits from following the protocols strictly, but most of us have a life and want to be healthy and fit amongst other things. Anyway that being said, i do understand they are sometimes experiments for the video and I do love her videos as they are fun to watch and see her guinea pig some fads but its not that deep. Fitness should be and feel easier. Not sure if id make any sense there but just wanted to share.
    Thanks Team forNever Lean for another great vid.

    I’m glad she advocates for rest days, I’ve realized in recent years how essential it is!

    Starting slow was the key for me to run my first nonstop mile. I always tried my best in school and burnt out before the end.
    I tried again as an adult and someone told me to start walking as fast as possible and then increase the pace .001% to a jog. It worked!

    The cool thing is that you don’t need to spend a lot of money to make progress! I work out from home, and I’ve been able to make lots of progress with just my home equipment! :) depends on your goals of course, but it’s pretty cool that you don’t need much to get started!

      Agree on that! 🌟 Working out from home since 2021 and I've actually built some muscle and have gotten in a pretty (in my opinion) solid shape - without spending a single dollar/pound/euro on a gym! And nobody can see my face when it gets hard, I can make weird noises or swear loudly hahah - I really see so many advantages in home workouts!

    I rarely leave comments but I definitely resonate with your perspective here! I have been struggling with overtraining for a long time. Just a week ago I got a very serious stomach flu and was sent to ER( Got fever for 2 days). Not until then had I realize rest is also a part of growth. For the comment question of the week, can you talk a bit about de-load week like how you manage your schedule and workout? Super joyful to see your headgear back!!!!!! 🤩 Love your content as always!

    Harry - thank you for saying 80% of workouts are going to be average, I keep on feeling like mine are average and beating myself up about it, but you're totally right, only around 10% will be really good and that's damn worth remembering. Showing up and giving it your best on average days will be better in the long run than only doing those days where you can full on smash it

    I've followed Keltie for years and I'm enjoying her wellness journey (but no I'm not going to take Dr Huberman's advice about the cold showers). As for a great running app I use Zombies!Run. It's like listening to an action movie, where you're part of the action and occasionally you get chased by Zombies.

    I have so many thoughts! As a runner/triathlete it is just interesting to hear your thoughts on this. I had watched Keltie’s video and a couple of her other videos on running, and I was pleasantly surprised by the fact that I actually agree with a lot of her approach. I say surprised just because the fitness industry had demonized running and any cardio at times. I think her advice and tips are overall really good, and like you I would just tweak the schedule to be 3 runs and 2 strength. I’m a big believer in building up base endurance first and starting slow and then after that having 3 runs a week, one speed work or hill repeats, one tempo run, and one long steady easy run.

    I love Keltie! I see a lot of people, especially on reddit, criticizing her for her energy, calling her a chihuahua in a human form and I'm someone with the same type of energy as her so I really enjoy her content and her videos don't feel like a drag to me. We also have the same body type so she's an inspiration for me because I know her type of physique is something that is achievable to me. No point at looking at curvy big-butted women when I'm just not built like that, lol.

    • @ridinreiners
      @ridinreiners 8 місяців тому +2

      If you put out social content, there will always be criticism. That would be okay if it was constructive or helpful, but what is helpful about calling Keltie a human chihuahua? That’s just mean. If people don’t like the UA-camr, then just don’t watch.

    Dang that is a lot for a beginner! I'd do maybe 2 jogs a week and walks daily to start, personally. But then again, running has always been super hard for my lil stubby legs and long heavy torso

    I don’t mind her, but worry about the example she sets as she is super skinny and has got a little skinner it seems to me. I would never body shame so I hope it doesn’t come off that way, just in a world where we’re finally getting beautiful muscular women giving an example to younger people, I’m always like ‘mehhh’ when I see someone who supposedly lifts and it’s just so thin-not muscular and low BF-just barely any muscle. Again just my opinion

    • @pipsperseverance5593
      @pipsperseverance5593 Рік тому +5

      has she gotten skinnier or does it just appear that way to you bc she had her implants taken out not long ago? 🤔

    • @mikaylasmith7600
      @mikaylasmith7600 Рік тому +2

      She hasn't been lifting consistently heavy for a while now. If you look at her she's still very muscular, just in a different way. She has more of a runner's build now and she did get her breast implants removed. I think she predisposed to having a lower BF percentage than most, you can't always help that.

    • @jjj4n4
      @jjj4n4 11 місяців тому +2

      I mean, some people are just built like that. She talked in a video of hers that she has a hard time gaining a lot of muscle and is more so "long and lean." My body is the same way, I'm tall and thin, runners built. I played volleyball in school and she played basketball, 2 sports that give you a similar type of physique. In time of body positivity, I think it's kinda wild that thin women get so much criticism.

  • @elebea868
    @elebea868 Рік тому +4

    She is the stereotypical tall skinny woman who does not need to work out to look good. She has barely any muscle too after all those workouts. So many great real athletes to listen to !
