Can you say Harbor Freight??? Very reasonable and great price. 46ml socket When the seal goes oil blows all over the front of the engine. Including the serpentine belt.
@@spicythai2000how tight should we tighten that bolt Im afraid to over tighten and mess up aluminum I’m about to do this I’m thinking small wrench to tighten it in case not to over tighten
@@oscalsochirino8706 I'm not sure what the torque spec is. But I always use German torque spec, which is good and tight. Lol. But you could Google the torque spec.
@@spicythai2000 well I don’t have a torque wrench it says the specified is 51 pounds but my question to you is how hard did you tighten it 1/4 Turn after hard ? To gauge

Cheers from Oz mate. I was replacing the O rings and you showed me that I need to go buy a 46ml socket ... saved me some pain. Thankyou

@Oscalso Chirino no once it's tight that is good enough.
hi, thanks for the tips on the 46mm socket. Question: Do we need to drain off the car engine oil before removing the filter housing?
No need to drain oil.
@@spicythai2000 Appreciate it, thanks!
I was quoted $600 USD to replace the oil filter housing gaskets from a well reputable mechanic shop, is that reasonable for this type of repair?
No way. That's way too much. Find other shop or people that do side work at home.
Thank you
