- As most of you know, Jose is a Certified Mechanic for over 15 years. Part of the reason why we wanted to start “DrunkledTuned.Garage” was not only to provide a positive car community, but to help others build/fix their vehicles 👍🏽
With that said, we’ve started an IGTV Series called: DTG Lesson 101. We will be posting short mechanic lessons where you could learn and get some tips on how to fix your vehicles. These videos will also be posted here on our channel for those who do not have Instagram.
We are definitely open to any suggestions as to what you would like to see in our IGTV series.
And always, we thank you for watching!
This is the normal position for this job. on your back lying on the driveway, or gravel. Real live repair, Thanks. @4:55 I heard a fart.
You should hear me when I do brakes, etc! You'll hear a lot worse than farting! LOL....
Don't you need double (inverted) flare for the brake lines ? (Or bubble for Europeans)
yes. otherwise a good side of the road repair.
Great job! Professional under the circumstances. Don't drink and drive. Lol. Ps. Would rather not see the back of your head so much. Thank you. Paul
Incredible! I cannot get that done in a fully equipped garage.
Thank you for an honest real life / real situation video.
👍👍👍👍
i think i would change all them rusty lines , do it once then its done .
Noticed the single flare, can a double be used instead? A single flare fits over a din bubble flare better, but seems like singles should never be used.
Yes if badly rusted you should replace the whole line, but under the circumstances this was amazing. Wow, and then to video the whole process under those conditions was incredible. Did you have any problems cracking open the bleeder values, many times those things crumble.
Hey, if you're still on here, how would I figure out how much pipe would I would need to replace a whole line. On a 2013 hyundai genesis 4 door? I looked at diagrams on Google and cant find the amount of feet i need to replace the whole thing. FYI, I'm not doing the work, so I'm not physically able to measure it.
thank you! love how everyone was helping you out while you do your thing
The more connections, the more chance for leak. I learned that hard lesson .
Good job bro that is the way l would have done it.
You need to double flare brake lines
This guy is actually stealing my converter! Is anyone going to stop him?
💡
How about just use a brake line hose or just a good quality tube and clamp it, especially for a temporary fix?
hold my beer.....
Single flare on a brake line! Never!
that's amazing stuff given the conditions....but that's not going to last..you have a concave flare going into a concave union (cup connecting to a cup) so you'll never have a proper seal..great work to get you to a shop in an emergency but it'll need chopping out and redoing...
your a star, laying under the car doing that, great job
Help I have a fuel leak
Good job bro
Actually I believe the flare that is legal for brakes is a double flare, not a single flare that you made. But I expect that will work in a pinch as a temporary fix.
The purpose of this video was a quick get the car out of there fix.
You shouldn't work on cars. 1 or 2 doesn't matter long as works.
I was totally expecting this guy to throw on a compression fitting like a moron, I was definitely wrong. Bravo, sir.
Who do you think he is, Scotty Kilmer?
@@bobbylibertini Man I don't even think Scotty used compression fittings on brake lines did he??
@@Doomzdayxx He actually did! He even showed how in a video! Wouldn't believe it if I hadn't seen it myself. I mean I'm kinda the hillybilly-improviser...but even I have my standards!
No gloves ,he a beast 😬
should have used the cap first for the flat flare then the concave point, double flare.
Did you bleed the brakes afterwards?
yes he says so at the end 14:25
@@jusontask guess I didn't catch that earlier. Thanks 👍
Hey did you bleed all 4 bleeder valves I did what you did and my breaks still hit the floor even though I have full Blake fluid and no leak after flairing.
I am broken down on the side of the road and it's great to see brake line repairs in the real world
my recommendation would be ..when your montage plays and that song ends you should quickly cut to a cartoon little school girl with her thumbs up and in background audio having a group of children excitingly shouting YEAH!!!
excellent !what can you do if your caliper piston locks up while driving ?
I would’ve done the same way you were doing it. Good job.👍
You are lucky you had tools to get you going.
corona mechanic, sounds about right
Where is my corona lol
Bro you should have just clamp the Tube and ready to go home. How do I knew this my Teacher to us student you can clamp the Tube just to get home
my bad bro it's brake line. I thought it was a fuel line.
I would use compression fitting s.
Damn, I just got hub assemblies for both sides to put on today… NOW I’m pissing brake fluid too… motherfu**er… 😅
Much respect bro great job and to have the wifey filming and asking questions is beautiful lololol. 👊🏿👊🏿👊🏿👊🏿👊🏿👊🏿👊🏿👊🏿👊🏿👍🏾👍🏾🤜🏾🤜🏾🤜🏾🤜🏾✌🏾✌🏾
…and farting.
