Thank you for posting this. I watched your vid several times before finally doing it came out great. Only thing when putting the oil cooler housing back try not to over tighten it.

What year is this? I have a 2009 cls550 oil cooler gasket leak

Great video, my clk 500 is needing this repair too. Just a question: do you need to remove all the oil before doing this, or will it be safe to disconnect the oil cooler and oil filter housing with the full oil on the engine as it is all in te sump?

No - The oil should be in the oil pan

Thanks! That's good news, so I can do it at home without draining the oil.

To add to my comment it would be a good idea to drain and change the oil and filter at this time.

Thanks, I understand, and that would be ideal, but I would like to fix the leak first at my garage as soon as possible but the oil & filter are still quite new so I would like to keep them around 10.000 more km. If you tell me that it won't drip too much if I disassembly the oil cooler and filter housing with the engine full of oil, that's ok for me.
