I can't hear that song without tearing up. I past heard it when my girlfriend told me she was leaving to make up lost time with her daughter.
It saddened me.
And then she got covid last year and she told me she was having second thoughts about us. And if she can recover, maybe give it another try.
Sadly it took her away from me.
So the song reminds me of what could have been.
Growing up in the 70's as a child I was surrounded by amazing songs like these was cool. Turntables + no social media = 🙂

Lady, I remember my Mama singing this song, she is a singer and her and my father dancing in the kitchen. I was a child in the 70s. It’s so cool to see young people appreciating this fine soul music

Thx, Liz! I wasn't a big fan of this style of music when it came out, but have grown to appreciate more and more (especially compared to most of the 'music' that's coming out today). Love how you appreciate music, in general, gives us a "listen through new ears". You may want to try another huge group from this era, Little River Band, they have a lot of amazing songs, suggest "Take It Easy On Me" or "Long Way There"

I’m a 56 year old brand new subscriber. What sets Lizzie apart from other reaction to video hosts is she lets the song play and doesn’t try to be too clever by half. That particular song just hits me right in the chest every time I hear it and I’ve heard it a bunch since the 70s. Now I’m going to go watch your other videos.

Ambrosia were a hellaciously talented group of musicians. Even when they were doing what seems, on the surface, to be a somewhat standard pop ballad, they bring layers of arrangements, rhythms, harmonies that raise it at least two levels above what you'd hear from lesser groups.
David Pack made Ambrosia. When they lost him they lost Ambrosia.

Great song. Another one of those that I had to have the windows up in the car so my friends couldn't hear me listening to it. David Pack was the lead singer. Check out Biggest Part of ME and You're The One Woman (You and I). There first 2 albums were produced by Alan Parsons. They also played with Parsons and one of two of the guys left and joined the Alan Parson's Project.

Nuthin beats 70's AM radio to this day!. All decades were amazing 50-60-70-80-90's, but 70's AM , long track rock journeys and disco made it the most unique decade of decades.

Ambrosia were originally a prog rock band. But they wrote a few radio friendly songs and thats what they are remembered for by the general public.
