A largely unknown song that David Pack's vocals soar is "Ground Zero" off the Kerry Livgren album "Seeds of Change". It is an amazing song with Kerry Livgren (former keyboardist of Kansas) on keyboards along with David pack singing.

"How Much I Feel" has been one of my favorite songs since it first came out when I was a young teenager. Being a kid with all the emotional growing that, that entails, the music back then was such a big part of that growth.
This song released in 1978. Yet I heard this song so much when I was 23 years old, when I hear it now it seems just a few years ago as opposed to 46 years ago. How quickly the years have gone by. Thanks so much for playing this.
Love love love Ambrosia. Yep, you picked a good one. "Biggest Part of Me" and "You're the Only Woman" got lots of radio play back in the day. I'm also a fan of "I Just Can't Let Go." That last one I mentioned has backing vocals by James Ingram and Michael McDonald (Doobie Brothers who you've reacted to). You REALLY need to check out his song, "I Keep Forgettin'." So soulful. "How Much I Feel" is a 1978 song by American rock band Ambrosia. The song, written by the band's guitarist/vocalist David Pack, was released in the summer of 1978 as the lead single from their third album, Life Beyond L.A., peaking at position three on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and number two for three weeks on the Cash Box Top 100. In mythology, Ambrosia the food or drink of the Greek gods is often depicted as conferring longevity or immortality upon whoever consumed it.
No lie, about 5 years ago, I was at the local watering hole with some friends and put this song on the jukebox. A large man of Pacific Island descent was sitting across the room with his girl. He stood up and demanded, “Who played this?” I confessed. I was a bit worried as he walked right up to me. But then he put his arm around me and said, “Man, this makes me think of my mom. She loves this song. My aunt-her sister- dated the lead singer for a while. I need to call my mom!” He gave me one more bear hug and returned to his date. Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised and relieved.
Holdin' on to Yesterday was their first hit and got strong airplay on FM radio, back when FM was still new. Most reactors want to react to their later hits, because those had a wider general appeal. But Holdin' on to Yesterday was, and is, a brilliant song.
This song describes so much about me and my love from back in the 80’s. Such heartbreak…such regret. It’s been over for so long now but we keep in touch because we have a son together and he just recently expressed this exact same sentiment to me as stated at the end of this song…there will always be something there between us. 💔
Sorry to hear that. But glad your love at least produced a child as proof of its existence. You should try David Pack (lead singer of Ambrosia) solo song with Michael McDonald called, "I Just Can't Let Go"... that might stir up emotions in you too.

Yes! About time for this 70’s band! “Holdin’ on to Yesterday” an Absolute Must!! You won’t be disappointed! So many great songs. Biggest part of me, You’re the only woman, exceptional also! I love watching your reactions and listening to your input!
"Holdin on to Yesterday" would be my choice as the best pop hit from this band. But they had a number of very listenable hits with great harmonies. Also Ambrosia put out some terrific album tracks as well. They were more of a "Prog rock " band than this hit would imply. Great song with some great late 70's feel behind it.
One thing I love so much about Ambrosia is how powerful the bridge itself tends to be in their songs. Their musicality is so awesome that even during that instrumental-dominant part of the song, it gets all up in ur feels just as much (if not more so) than the rest of the song. Simply masterful songwriting and execution 🔥😎
Great late-70s sound. In my mind, this song seems to be linked to another fantastic song called "Baby Come Back" by Player. Not sure if you've reacted to that one yet, but if not, then you really should cuz you will LOVE it.
One of the BEST Yacht Rock songs ever made!!!! Yes! Now you two need to react to, in my mind, the ultimate Yacht Rock song, which is “SAILING” by Christopher Cross; won Grammys for SONG of the YEAR, ALBUM of the year AND BEST NEW ARTIST in 1980 ❤️❤️❤️🛥🛥🛥
I still get goosebumps hearing this song. I was in Jr. High when this song was released. It still reminds me of that special girl back in the day. Amazing!!
This is probably my favorite song by Ambrosia but "You're the biggest part of me" is good too. I would suggest you check out Al Stewart - Year of the Cat. I think you'd really like it. Also, Heart - Mistral Wind for Female Friday. For something fun and different, David Lindley - Mercury Blues with his slide guitar style. Love the songs and groups you've been doing. I also forgot how great "Ambrosia - You're the only woman" is.
Amber, the smile on your face when the chorus kicks in, well it just lights up the room. The enjoyment your experiencing is suddenly transferred to all of your subscribers, including myself! Glad you are able to experience and enjoy the music I grew up with! Loved both of your guys' reactions to this song!
I first "met" you guys when you did your first reaction to the incredible voice of Dimash (which is my daily addiction apparently). Anyways, I had already been addicted to Dimash for 2 years and then discovered you guys....a truly loving couple, that maybe wishes they were living when I was living. 🤔..Wow. I was born in 1963 and so Yes, it was a cool time back then to fairly and freely express yourself, But mostly for us whites, unfortunately. I've learned more now than ever before because of UA-cam. I have taken a lot of things for granted before, unfortunately. Back to you guys, you're both very perceptive. You're right so MANY times, simply from your first listen to a song, very impressive. I guess, after your reviewing of SO many new songs for quite a while now, and providing 3 videos a day, sharing them with us; which, makes you guys pretty darn sharp all the time....Which, comes from your commitment, your effort and surgically your love. I see why you're loved so much. I love watching you guys. I guess we all love you, including me. I don't think I've typed the word love that many times before in a comment. Lol Btw, I did love slowly dancing to a girl in college that this song meant a lot to me at the time because of his lyrics, and where we were in our relationship... How Much I Feel.... Was perfect. I felt exactly that way and still remember that moment on the dance floor singing the lyrics to Becca, my girl at the time, tearing, while I was singing. Good fun times get recreated simply by listening to you both, as you keep picking some of my favorite songs that I forgot about I loved Thanks again. ❤️
If you want to hear the absolute best of Ambrosia, "Holdin' on to Yesterday" is their greatest song by far. And that says a lot because they are a great band with a lot of great songs.
Greatest song ever written about "the one that got away". So soulful!! I FEEL his emotion in this song in me and have been for like 40 years. It never gets old.
England Dan and John Ford Coley - Love is the Answer, has horns, great harmonies, great vocals and a wonderful message. Firewall - Just Remember I Love You is another great song from the 70's.
This song was Ambrosia's very first Top 10 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 chart back in the summer of 1978. The song peaked at the #3 spot. David Pack was the original lead singer and co-founder this group said that this wrote this song for his wife. A beautiful song indeed!!!
"How Much I Feel" peaked @ #3 for 3 weeks in 1978. Between 1975 thru 1986, Ambrosia charted 8 singles on the Billboard Hot 100 featuring 4 Top 20 hits including 2 Top 10 hits.
I was waiting for you guys to feature and react to this gem, always a favorite of mine plus the memories. It peaked at number 3 on Billboards chart in 1978. The harmonizing, instruments and the great voice of lead singer David Pack set this song to its greatness. A few other hits by Ambrosia were BIGGEST PART OF ME and YOU'RE THE ONLY WOMAN.
One of my favorite bands ever. I like their prog period even more and one of my favorite songs ever is their “Nice, Nice, Very Nice”. I don’t know if you have done that one already. Another great one is “Somewhere I’ve Never Traveled”.
One word describes this song: Passion! It's full of it from the beginning to the end. The singer takes us on this incredible journey where we all can feel the depth of his own passion for this lady he sings about. You hear the heartbreak in his voice as he cries it out in song. Even in the end with his wife who he truly loves, there's still an undying passion deep in his heart for the woman in the song, that will never die. That's how much he really feels. Amazing song, amazing lyrics and unrivaled passion! Can't get enough of this song. I've loved it for years.
I like some of their early stuff…..Holdin’ on to Yesterday……Nice, Nice, Very Nice. Great harmonies and vocals a little more progressive than their later stuff

@@lauraryan8921 I believe they reacted to "Summer Breeze" already about 5 months ago. Also "Love Takes Time" by the Orleans would be cool and they need to hit more of Seals & Croft's like "Diamond Girl", "Hummingbird", "Get Closer" and "Your The Love". Oh the 70's softer sounds! I don’t feel music today like I feel it back then I love the 70 s
Amazing!!
David Pack...lead singer of Ambrosia. Most underrated vocalist EVER.
Packman
This is probably my favorite song by Ambrosia but "You're the biggest part of me" is good too. I would suggest you check out Al Stewart - Year of the Cat. I think you'd really like it. Also, Heart - Mistral Wind for Female Friday. For something fun and different, David Lindley - Mercury Blues with his slide guitar style. Love the songs and groups you've been doing.
I also forgot how great "Ambrosia - You're the only woman" is.
Year of the Cat is a MUST!
takes me back to high school. Firefall, Ambrosia, 10cc good times. this one is pure R&B to me.
Oh i know this song. Cool. Never knew the name nor the artist. Thx for whoever suggested this. Great song.
Amber, the smile on your face when the chorus kicks in, well it just lights up the room. The enjoyment your experiencing is suddenly transferred to all of your subscribers, including myself! Glad you are able to experience and enjoy the music I grew up with! Loved both of your guys' reactions to this song!
Brings back so many memories…..smooth, cool, and very soulful.
So many slow dances in theaters 70s and early 80s. You don't know all of all the wonderful memories y'all bring me back to. Thank y'all
That was top shelf music. no doubt at all. You feel every word and it takes you places.
Great line from this: "You try to make amends because you started off as friends."
Take hold of my hand and all will be forgiven
Actually it’s “you’re better off as friends”
The 70s and especially the 80s had some of the best music and songs. Love it!
"Holding on to Yesterday" was my favorite from Ambrosia, worth a listen.
Lol
Btw, I did love slowly dancing to a girl in college that this song meant a lot to me at the time because of his lyrics, and where we were in our relationship...
I think this is one of the biggest things missing from today's music. The harmonies!! When they hit it can give you goosebumps.
Welcome to the force of nature called Ambrosia! Many great songs by these harmony masters!
"Holding On to Yesterday", "Biggest Part of Me' "You're the Only Woman"
You will love them all!!
ahhh....the summer of 78..great memories of this tune played on the radio and all over the boardwalk in Wildwood, NJ...
I had such a happy childhood during the 70’s. Great music from bands like Ambrosia was a big part of that.
Love your channel! Ihope you’ll listen to “Biggest Part of Me” and “You’re the Only Woman”
I was 7yrs old when this song came out. The song that got me by them is Biggest Part of Me. That song got me hooked on Ambrosia ❤
England Dan and John Ford Coley - Love is the Answer, has horns, great harmonies, great vocals and a wonderful message. Firewall - Just Remember I Love You is another great song from the 70's.
Yes Amber PLEASE React to LOVE IS THE ANSWER ... It was a Huge hit in the late 70s , You will be very happy you did ,,, Take care you two
That song brings back a lot of memories.
Their hit Biggest Part Of Me (Midnight Special Performance.
This song always takes me to freshman high school dances, love Ambrosia!
Can we talk about the bass lines. Oh my!
One of my favorite bands ever. I like their prog period even more and one of my favorite songs ever is their “Nice, Nice, Very Nice”. I don’t know if you have done that one already. Another great one is “Somewhere I’ve Never Traveled”.
It would be awesome if they reacted to "Nice" which is MY favorite Ambrosia song
I greatly like and love younger generations appreciate old school 🏫 from the 70's 80's hits. I appreciate today's music 🎶 too.
Ambrosia is kind of like a cross between Hall & Oates and REO Speedwagon ... something like that. R&B rock ballads.
Wife here...Love Love Love Ambrosia!!!...Soooo reminds me of my early childhood..Beautiful!!!..I still adore this song the
Please dive deep into Ambrosia!! " Biggest Part Of Me", "You're The Only Woman" & "Holding On To Yesterday" ate just a few more!!🎶 Ambrosia was definately baby making music of my day!😎🎶💞🎵
Ambrosia has so many hits. So many hits so you have a lot to listen to.
David Pack is an amazing songwriter and has perfect pitch.
All the music you play
I'm glad I grew up in this time
I don't know if you've never listened to "The Little River Band" but if you have not, try "Lonesome Loser". Listening to Ambrosia made me think of them. They were both very popular at the time. ;o)
If you are going to lead them down the rabbit hole of LRB, then how could you not recommend "Reminiscing" "Lady" "Cool Change" and OMG so many more hits.?
@@dunhill1 So True! I remember seeing them live at Red Rocks back in 78/79 and it was a great summer night. There was a full moon and it lent itself to several songs that night. ;o)
So much soul in their voices. I'm experiencing this the first time too, love ❤️ it!
Their first radio hit called Holdin' On to Yesterday is worth a listen as well

Just remembered a song you two really do need to react to. "Moonlight Feels Right" by Starbuck and you would just love and enjoy it. Love to see what you think of this wonderful song. While your on the soft side of things. "Wildfire" by Michael Martin Murphy and "Crazy Love" and "Heart Of The Night" both by Poco would be great, as well. Have they reacted to any England Dan & John Ford Coley yet? Oh they have so many great one's you two should hear sometime.
very much agree with @L Reed's recommendations and would also add Orlean's Dance With Me, Seals and Croft's Summer Breeze
How wonderful it was! They need to hit more CS&N again also. "Just A Song Before I Go", "Marrakesh Express", "Fair Game" and "Dark Star" are all still waiting for them.
@@lreed1040 Thank you, don't have time to watch everyone but I saw Ambrosia and had to watch. Fun watching young people digging the music of my youth and realizing that their parents and grandparents are pretty groovy. Your comment caught my attention with Starbuck, haven't heard them in decades, same with England Dan and JFC. The mold was broken in the 70's. Wish I was riding on the Marrakesh Express. Peace be with you.
YES!!👍😃👍
@@lauraryan8921 Thanks and with you as well.
David still got that golden voice at 70+ years old and it sounds better than ever. How?❤❤❤
Hey fam! This was and still is the song right here! We need a time machine to go back in time for these great songs! 🎼🎶🎵🎶
There is one. UA-cam.
@@ML-jk3sz #Facts 💛
@@ML-jk3sz Exactly M L you are speaking facts for sure!
this is my favourite ambrosia song 😊 you've started at the top of their catalogue. they had other hits but this is the only one i need ❤
the harmonies, melody, song structure, omg pretty much a perfect song.
lead vocalist david pack also wrote this beauty, whilst being deaf in one ear. to compose and gorgeously sing something this ethereal - AMAZING TALENT.
