the accent work is crazy is this, Louis a Brit & Lestat an Australian pulling off these very specific accents blows me away
louis is amazing but lestat only sounds french to non french lmao
Y'all are not ready for Claudia. She brings all the drama in every version of this.
Bryce "he is not discrete at all" 😆One of the best descriptions of Lestat ever!
I cackled omg
@@mlledarcel same!!
I love how dramatic he is 😭😭 my favorite vampire ever
“My redemption.” Huny, you got a big storm commin. 🤡
the way i saw that lady's face in my head saying it 😅🤣😅
😩😂
The use of race in This show is so interesting one of the best explorations of it In a vampire show iv never seen it used in a vampire show like this
they didn't actually go to paris. it was an opera house in a different part of new orleans, a part that wasnt as intergrated as storyville was. it was a traveling company that came over from Europe, i believe. and Europe was actually more progressive than America during this time. Louis wouldn't have had to act like lestat's valet if they had been in europe.
europe still is more progressive than america too.
If yall thought Lestat was jealous now.... wait till Louis's Claudia comes into their life it really takes a toll on Lestat bc Lestat really just wants Louis to himself
They never went to Paris for the opera, it was in New Orleans… hence why they brought the singer back to their house… in New Orleans.
I HEARD YOUR HEARTS DANCING!! 😭
Now it's daughter time
I’m actually loving the fact that yall know nothing about the books and movie!!!! Great reaction as always
I support all of Louis actions lol
The first season only covers roughly the first half of the 1976 novel. The second season, which will complete the story, comes out on May 12.
I love how quickly these are releasing! Thank you
You guys are going to love Claudia!
Oh I can't wait for you guys to meet the best character in the show, a.k.a Claudia. Get ready for some insane episodes to come lol.
exactly
Louis wants to hold onto his humanity so badly while Lestat let go of his a long time ago.
Y’all really liking this show I see I can’t wait for season 2❤🧛🏾♂️
There’s a season 2???
@@MichelleseaChelle Yup comes out in May
My new favorite show I fell in love with it with the first episode.
PRINCESS COMING RAHHHH
Ahh I love so many scenes from this, especially Louis snapping at the Alderman (who I didn’t clock was THE John DiMaggio til recently) 😂 can’t wait for you to meet CLAUDIA!!!
This show is so good. Great writing and acting. Pity that not enough pp know it. Can’t wait for season 2. You guys don’t need to wait for two years to see it.😊
They stayed in New Orleans and went to the opera since Louis thought it was not a good time to travel. They did not go to Paris. Louis eventually travels to Paris years later with Claudia.
Many thanks to Rob and Bryce! 🧛♀ Keith Powell directed this episode. 🔸 The inspiration for 'Claudia' is an interesting story. I'll tell you more later.
I really liked the analogy Lestat gave for Louis not embracing the life of a vampire. But I think there could be a middle ground. Lestat is over the top with his killing. It seems like in the future Louis has found a good balance.
His Claudia 😭💖
'Someone wants an open relationship...';. '...And someone does not'... And they're both Lestat :P.
I never realized until recently that the asshole alderman that Louise killed was played by the actor who does the voice acting for Bender on Futurama.
i LOVE how yall dont know shit!!! i am so ready for Claudia
i hope zuff is feeling better!
Im so happy about these reactions! I adore this show, and youve made my week with so many uploads of it! Glad youre enjoying it! Cant wait for more!
This is actually the flagship show for AMC's 'Immortal Universe' based off the works of Anne Rice. There's already a season 1 of its' sister show, 'The Mayfair Witches'. Completely different mood, but decent in its' own regard. A third show is already in the works and eventually all the projects will overlap if successful.
I believe they are going to do a show about the Talamasca. That would be a good show to overlap all of the different subjects in the Anne Rice Immortal Universe. I can't wait for the second season of Interview with the Vampire coming in May. It looks great.
Would love if you guys watched the remake/newer version of heartbreak high
Love watching you guys get interested in this series
Thank you for watching the show it's helping me catch up for season 2. You're gonna LOVE Claudia.
There's also an excellent movie adaptation of this book with some big names attached (actually Kirsten Dunsts' very first movie role). But I would wait until the end of watching Season 2 before watching the movie. If you want to avoid major spoilers.
I love how empathetic yall are towards Louis 😭
You have to see the movie. Christian Slater is the interviewer. Brad Pitt plays Louis, Tom Cruise is Lestat, and Kirsten Dunst is Claudia.
Day 118 requesting Penny Dreadful :)
Just curious if you guys plan to watch the film as well? The show covers a lot more of the books, but I also just really enjoyed the movie and would be interested in your thoughts comparing it to the show!
I absolutely adore this episode and how pathetic Lestat was in it. Great reactions as always.
❤️❤️
Please react to heartbreak high ❤
I feel like they are watching too many things at once and at this rate it’ll take forever for them to finish any of these shows 😂
when will you watch sharp objects again?
I hope you still watch the 1994 movie. Just for the cast - This was the breakout role for Kirsten Dunst.
The "was it raining" part is not about not remembering the small details, it's about showing that Louis is an unreliable narrator. It's supposed to show that he doesn't tell what actually happened but what he thinks what happened. Which may or may not be the same thing.
😄
No doubt that s.o.b got what he deserved, but to then display him with that sign was just stupid! I mean what did he think that there be no "payback". I would have killed him too, but he would have just vanished never to be seen again. One thing to keep in mind with Lestat, this story is being told from Louis' perspective. In the book The Vampire Lestat, you get to learn about how and why Lestat does what he does. I hope that season 2 touches on that story.

hey guys love your videos ✨ could you react to “ The best of me” 😁🙏🏻
The TV show seems a lot closer to the books in some respects than the movie. Although I think it might have been the year the original was made. Also the fact that the TV show is based on the whole series of books not just the titled book. On the book Claudia was 5 yrs old, in the movie she she is 10 yrs old. That figure in the tub at the end looks like an adult.. If so this could not be borrowing from the movie....as we know the turmoil she went through and how she suffered.
Vampires are Asexual. So the blowie in the park seems off. Also Vampires do not eat or drink anything but human blood, but they are eating dinner and drinking champagne.
Lestat is supposed to be more charismatic, carefree, and wildly eccentric. This portrayal of Lestat is a bit more somber and subdued than in the books.
Edit: Also, in the books, Lestat barely gives Louis any guidance about being a vampire.
I agree the one dude needed to die. But Louie was arrogant and selfish!! He cost MANY innocent people their lives!! What makes it worse?? He KNEW better!! He wasn't the only person of color suffering!! But he thought his pain more valid than the safety and lives of all the other black people around him!
I HATE Louie. Any sympathy or gentle feelings are for the man playing Louie so well. But I can't stand the character!!
@@bullocksandra7177 Screaming at the TV for the cops to open fire like they would have had any other terrorist group invaded the capitol.
Yall havent seen the movie?! Please go do that asap
