@@mael420 at least for the books version how come Lestat is stronger than Armand if Armand is older than Lestat?
@@jaxsontuttle4932 a vampire's strength is initially determined by how powerful their maker is and how many fledglings they've created before them (the more you make the weaker they are), later they gain more power with age or by drinking from other vampires. lestat was his makers only fledgling and he later drank from some pretty powerful vampires
The “Oh, God! How do you manage it?” from Hallustatnation while he sassily flicks his wrist and smokes a cigarette is sending me. 😂
So that's how they are managing Lestat's presence. Very interesting indeed. Very creative.
He makes a a good hallucination and boogeyman too, given his temperament and playfulness. Abit like Beetlejuice.

Ok, I'm now thoroughly convinced that Armand is keeping Louis prisoner in the penthouse. Even before this preview he NEVER let that ipad out of his sight and it controlled everything from the windows to the music. That, and the level of archived stuff from Louis' past? It's got Talamasca written all over it.

From what I remember from the movies and the bits I read from the books Armand has always been toxic and has been extremely obsessive over Louis. Amrand knew Louis didn't love him like that if I can remember correctly but Louis just let himself be a doormat like he always is. Idk if you have seen the movie but he's not a good person.
@@MikiGo88If I remember correctly Armand was immensely jealous of Lestats relationship with Louis, which could lead to imprisoning Louis to make sure he stays by his side along with massive psychological manipulation which Armand was known for.

I can't stop thinking about how we haven't actually met Lestat yet and we're still not gonna see who he really is this season. Every single one of his appearances has been in the form of a memory, or as a hallucination. I can't wait to see him for real.
Will he return for real? I honestly can't have him being only hallucinations. 😂 He is perfectly terrible. I need more Lestat
@lullaby508 we see the real Lestat in the vampire lestat and Queen of the damned. There is a reason he is the way he is. The books make you feel kinda bad for him until he becomes a vampire unwillingly. Then once he's happy with his vampiric self he's better than Louis makes him out to be, but at the same time exactly like Louis says he is.
@@mzkillerbit89 I love this show but I'm honestly worried how they're going to tackle the later books if they continue this series. I actually ended up finding Lestat extremely annoying the more books I read.

I’ve already heard from ppl who’ve seen the first 6 episodes apparently it’s extremely dark and they get darker as each episode progresses I’ve heard lestat isn’t just a ghosts figure this season so my guess is after episode 6 that’s when the tears start flowing

He fricken put him in a cell, starve him, and brought innocent people for him to kill which, as you know, Lestat hates to kill the innocent. And he made him act a part in his "play." All because he left him in Paris. Armand is effin evil, but God, I love him!❤😂

Lestat was turned when he was like 20, but yes, Louis was turned older than both

I can already tell from the trailers and previews that I'm gonna have a hard time with the Claudia actress change. Not because her performance seems bad. She actually looks and sounds brilliant... but the "feeling" of her accent and tone is some what different. I hope it doesn't take long to get used to... other than that I'm incredibly excited! :)
Her accent bothers me as well but I won't be too harsh until I get to watch this season!

I like how they are incorporating Lestat into this part of the book, as a playful boogeyman to Louie.
Was a little worried earlier we don't get to see much of Sam Reid this season. The other characters are superb, but we need a (un)healthy dose of Lestat too. 😂👍

OMG it looks sooo good!! I'm so glad they split the book into 2 seasons, I'm a fan of that. It enables more elbow room to cover more material from the source into a show or movie. I hope they do the same when they begin to cover Book 2 (The Vampire Lestat) which is sooooo full of history and information I feel it might need 2 to maybe 3 seasons before diving into Book 3 (Queen of the Damned). I can't waaaaait for May 12!!!

It's been a couple years since I read the first 7 books from Louis, Lestat, and Armand's POV, reading right now, about Marius's life in Blood and Gold and I hope they get to his story of Rome, Armand/ Amadeo, Mael, Bianca, Pandora from his POV. But also can't wait to hear Lestat's version first with Akasha, The Body Thief, Memnoch, etc. . . Hope they keep the story going to the crossover with Mayfair witches.

It makes sense that Lestat would haunt Louis that’s how much of a hold I think Lestat had/has on Louis and is kind of a metaphor that the scars never really fade.
That being said I’m not emotionally prepared for what’s going to happen to Claudia
I really hope this series don't get cancelled any time soon so we can see the rest of "The Vampire Chronicles" story lines. Would love to see how they would do "The Queen Of The Damned" even tho i can't think of anyone who would fit the part better than Aaliyah, Aaliyah will always be the perfect Queen Akasha in my eyes.
