I think a lot of people miss Lestat telling Louis that the riot isn't his fault - that they were already looking for an opportunity to burn the community down. In every episode, Lestat is telling Louis that everything is going to be ok, that things aren't his fault, that he shouldn't have to hide his nature, that going into business with those men was a bad idea, that the riot isn't his fault. He never takes over Louis' business meetings, he's just there for support. His trouble is that he thinks is all of this is a simple thing. He doesn't see the paradigm and high context that Louis lives in every day. And there isn't any way he ever could.
This episode is viewed differently from black people and non-black people. The moment Louis hung that man's half-torso on that fence, with that sign, every black person knew what was going to happen next. You KNOW they were gonna go after ALL the black folk.
Louie could be cleaning up the streets of criminals instead of eating people's cats but do you I guess. Lestat as a voyeur in the woods. I'm just gonna say I love this show but I love the fandom even more. hope you both react to season 2.
I didn't realize until recently that the actor who played the alderman that Louise killed in this episode is the actor who does the voice acting for Bender in Futurama.
Lestat all proud of louis showing his bloodlust flourishing and Louis not wanting to give him the satisfaction lol I'm having so much fun with you guys watching the show.
Louis should had listened to lestat about staying away from grace and his mother he only caused heartbreak in the film version claudia is 12 years old but in the book she's 5 years old Kirsten dunst played the role she was actually 12 years old when the film was made
💭I've never been into Vampire movies or shows, and I don't care for gory flicks, But I really liked this series, It almost felt addictive!...🎥🎭 I know Lestat did a lot of foul things to get with Louis, but I still liked them 2Gather!... (except for Ep. 5) 🚩He stalked Louis before they met, and went to all Louis's hang-out spots so he could try to get with him... and he used his human and vampire magic on him from the jump! (mind-control, telepathy, love bombing, manipulation, and seduction.) 🎬Lestat's dialogue was Shakespearen and hypnotic!
I love how fast you're reactin vids are! I suspect you binged - who could blame ya. But as long as y'all Beautiful women keep with this phenomenal show in your repetoire - I ain't caring. Because buckle in, this show's about to give a ride.
Claudia is a child Louis saves and initially feeds on. Lestat catches Louis with Claudia, sees how unhappy Louis is, and saves Claudia to keep Louis from leaving him. Claudia becomes a part of their Vampire family, but Claudia is also another one of Lestat's mistakes and rule-breaking.
i think they watched it a while ago but they don't remember. It's good for them to watch it and discover the story as it goes, the movie isn't a must watch anyways 😉
The most important take-away from this episode is that Louis is not a reliable narrator. The Lestat in this show is NOT the Lestat from the first movie or the first book. Those are told from Louis's point of view and... again... unreliable narrator.
Too bad, you missed out on an amazing performance. Did you even notice her change in speech patterns and movement? Or were you too busy hating her to notice?
@@playfulpanthress You mean her talking like a 5-year-old versus talking like a normal person yeah I got that extremely subtle and not at all ridiculously overblown performance This isn't a blow at you in any way I just maintain that I find her really annoying
@@playfulpanthress I do have to say her monologue at the end of episode 4 was absolutely amazing 👌👍🤩 So I think it's whoever was directing her It's their fault I didn't like her I don't know
@@Nicholas_is_my_name The point of her talking "like a five year old" could be in part a nod to the book as she was supposed to be 4-5 years old or showing the poverty that Claudia was raised in without access to education. I'm not sure if she would have known French had she gotten to grow up normal, but it was made clear she didn't know it when she moved in with L2. Which is odd since French would have been extremely prevalent in the area. It also tells me how much poorer Claudia's family must have been. And since it would be impossible to put a five year old into the role, like the movie, they aged her up yet made sure to show a mental increase from immature child to adult trapped in a child's body. Perhaps it isn't to your liking, but it is genius storytelling nonetheless.
I am reliving watching this for the first time through you ladies🥹❤️😂🙏🏽✨ so glad you’re enjoying it. It’s gonna get WORSE. BUCKLE UP!!!😉❤️🙏🏽 (I suggest you DONT watch anything else but this adaptation of IWTV.. a simple google search will answer glaring questions you’ll have and later maybe you can react to either the books or or 2 movies☺️)
You should be glad you took this long to watch the show because it's been a long wait for season 2
True!
Way too long.... lol
My thoughts exactly

I like the playful melody of the piano when Lestat says to Louis repeatedly, "of course," 😂 but he's shaking his head no
I just kept saying Lies after his "Of course" 😂😂😂
@@daniellestewart9255 I feel like Lestat repeating those words over and over again were more about convincing and lying to himself. 🤭 He's wild.
@@booksgurrsandpurrsAbsolutely!!!! 😂 He didn't think Louis would actually do it.
Louis is a bit of a hypocrite sometimes 😭😭😭😭
When he kills he gets so cruel too !! he probablt doesn't want to admit it lol i still love him tho

ya'll going to love ep4, Claudia is such a good character. nice reaction 😂

Yes! He could be a whole super hero!😂Definitely reacting to season 2😃

claudia is a VERY important character, just you wait!
Here she comes: ~*CLAUDIA*~ 🥰
If every story has an apex; a rollercoaster on top of its' hill. This would be it. Welcome Claudia.
Lestat all proud of louis showing his bloodlust flourishing and Louis not wanting to give him the satisfaction lol
I'm having so much fun with you guys watching the show.
My Claudia…. I love Baileys portrayal; will be interesting to see the new Claudia for season 2. Be warned however; episode 5 is particularly rough…..

Claudia's Kirsten Dunst in the movie.

What did an innocent cat do to deserve that?
Louis cannot stand by his conviction
Yay, so excited to see another IWTV reaction! This is one of my favorite series

I did not like his mum one bit. And it broke my heart when his relationship with Grace deteriorated.

Please watch the movie you'll know who Claudia is!
They don’t need to consume any other media to know this shows story
