About Toph sandbending the Earth king. She can make out shapes of people including their hair and what they are wearing but she can't see in detail what their faces/clothes look like Ie their eye colour, moles, pattern/colour of clothes etc

I think Aang doesn't fully understand what the previous avatars are actually saying:
Roku: Be decisive, because once it's done you can't take it back. This could also be in favor of sparing the Fire Lord, because killing him WOULD be something you can't take back.
Kyoshi: Only justice will bring peace. Meaning the punishment has to fit the crime. Since firebending is the thing Ozai used to hurt so many people, it was only fitting he had it taken from him.
Kuruk: Actively shape your own destiny and the destiny of the world. Meaning you have to do what you know to be right, even if no one else does. So in a sense, he was saying his instincts to spare the fire lord are correct.
Yangchen: Selfless duty calls you to sacrifice your own spiritual needs, and do whatever it takes to protect the world. Yes, I know it sounds like she's saying he has to kill Ozai, but given the ending, here's how I see it in hindsight: Bending is considered sacred, and to take it from someone else would be blasphemous. But if it's what will stop him once and for all, then what choice is there, really?

Buildings are made of Earth so Toph can see all their details perfectly, humans are not made of Earth so Toph uses the way they step and sounds to distinguish them. That's why she calls Aang Twinkle Toes since he has very light steps.

People always criticize Roku's advice but I feel like they're too quick to cast it off. If Aang wants to save the world, he has to stop Ozai. "Be decisive" to me basically meant to commit to his duty, do what it takes no matter what
