I made a poncho, like you said, in a weekend! It only took me the Saturday and Sunday. I made mine inspired by mint chocolate chip ice cream :) the neck is a dark brown, then 5 rows I switched to a light brown, 5 more rows switched to a cream with speckled brown, 5 more rows then to a light/mint green, and then to finish it off I used a dark green. Your tutorial is very easy to follow, and I appreciate you giving your pattern to everyone for use. Many of creations can come out of this!
It took me a bit (a few unravels and resets😉) to get the hang of the single crochets and making sure I had the correct 80 stitches, etc...but as you advised, once the neck is properly made, it's smooth sailing. Your tutorial is very thorough and easy to follow, and I appreciate the work you put into sharing your expertise and patterns.
Thank you! The way you do the chain so it’s not twisted is awesome! I always struggle with following it down to slip stitch a ring. I will be doing this on my next project.
RIGHT!!! I have tried like 4 or 5 different poncho patterns that start the same way and I kept ending up with it twisted, it was driving me nuts!! I will be using this technique every time now!
I made my poncho with this Pattern and close to the same colors. I love it and have started another one for a gift. And two more people that wanted me to write out the pattern so I am passing it on and I thank you so much. I have subscribed to your channel now and keep up with more of your projects thanks again Valerie Town

I'm a beginner, had my doubts, especially using the Lion brand Astro-something yarn. But I followed the instructions, rewound lots of times and ripped out many times, too. Patience held and now I am half way done! I love it! Thank you for your tutorial! ❤❤❤
I've been looking at so many poncho videos and found that most of them are too intricate for my first one. I've been crocheting for as long as I can remember (I'm 75!) and I thought I could do just about any pattern till I tried to make a poncho. Yours was the ticket!!! I'm starting this on Thursday, and with the cooperation of my cat, I hope I can finish it by Sunday! Thank you!
Thank you very much for your clear and helpful instructions. Really glad to have found your video after trawling through lots of patterns. I found it really easy to follow and have just finished my first poncho, in three days as well, and just in time for the cold weather setting in. I used a different yarn, made it a bit longer and added a scalloped border. Great for snuggling up in. Will definitely do another one.

Thank you once again for this tutorial..this is definitely my go to poncho pattern. I have so far made 4 for myself in different colors and 2 for my niece's daughter..😊🌻😊
Hi very nice and very easy you have explained really well because I wanted to make a poncho for a very long time but the start of the poncho was always difficult for me thank you you made easier for me 😋
I've been enjoying your drawstring bags and this poncho, thank you! For children's sizes try decreasing initial chain stitches by 10 Adult 80, small adult 70, children 60, 50, etc.
Mark Mullins II Take the count of stitches minus 2 for each corner (say 70 - 2= 68) then divide remaining stitches in half for each side (68 / 2 = 34) so 34 stitches between two corners.
Thankyou for your very detailed video I can see how it is so important that you get the foundation rows correctly. As I have arthritic fingers I did the foundation chain in the 5:5 hook then I have used a 4mm hook to do the next step as I have a small head.
I think this was very easy I went on a lot of The other channels and they do it so quick and you just can’t get it I’ve been doing crocheting all my life.. I had a very nasty attack of septicaemia and when is in hospital for a very long time on life-support and now I have brain damage some say I brain-damaged before but that’s the funny side. But I .even got this it was really good and she was very easy she speaks very good English not double Dutch so I give it a thumbs up 1000 times

Thank you So Much for your Very Easy to follow instructions for this Poncho. I did manage to complete this in 5 days for my Granddaughter. She was so delighted with my garment, that I decided to make another one for her.Unfortunately because I had like a previous follower,I went into another saved Poncho. So after the neck 3 rows.I was completely lost,so had to rip it all out.So have spent quite a few hours here today to get my Poncho up and running. You explain it more easily than a lot of tutorials I have been into.I was always a knitter in my younger years.Have only took this up with this Pandemic. I learned how to do Rainbows. Was so uplifting for me and has fair put in my lockdown time. But then it was.....What else can I do to put in my time.So my Granddaughter suggested a Poncho. Very Chuffed with my Achievement...I then decided I would like to try a Cardigan for myself...I have been in to U tube and have tried and ripped out 5 times now.So thus the reason for another Poncho. But decided to look into your feedback!!!!Couldn’t believe that you also had a Cardigan. So will be looking more into what you have put out there. Thanks Again🙏Very Much Appreciated.👏You are helping a whole lot of people out here to put in our Lockdown,by helping us to be able to crochet where before we never thought it was possible. So again “THANK YOU”🙏🌈❤️
