I love the way you explain your work. I used to make ponchos for my daughter, 50 years ago but had forgotten. Now my great-granddaughter wants one and I have been searching UA-cam for a good pattern and directions. You provided both, and thank you very much. Looking forward to seeing more of your work. You make it look so easy, and explain every step.
Thank you for this tutorial!!! I made a poncho for our 2-year-old granddaughter and then a matching one for her 18" doll. They turned out soooo cute!!!!
ThNk you! For all you do! When the pandemic 😷 became real, I needed a healthy distraction. My grandmother taught me to crochet and knit when I was very young, but I didn’t keep up with it. Then I stumbled onto your channel! Best decision ever! You and your tutorials taught me soo much and saved me from cabin fever. 🤗 Now I’m crocheting for homeless shelters and oncology patients. Oh, of course my family! They’re my test subjects! 😄 Thank you again!
Thank you so much for the kind words, it really means a lot. And yes family is always the test subject 😜. May you be able to share your gifts and bring warmth to the lives of people.
Thank you so much for this tutorial . Your explanations are perfect. I started my chain with 96, and my clusters worked out perfectly. Thank you. And keep making more tutorials .😊🌻🧚♂️from South Africa
Very simple to follow instructions and well presented. Poncho crocheting is made easy. Live your tutorials. You are a great guide. Many blessings and i am grateful to you and the crochet making world.❤
Hello ma'am I am your youtube student you can say I learnt crochet from you by watching your tutorials ...I made a poncho for my seven years old daughter and I want to show you. I really want to show you..I made a scarf coin purse etc watching ur tutorials. Thank you maam.

I'm so glad I found your tutorial! I was feeling very frustrated with another pattern I paid for, so I ended up frogging it and started with your pattern. It's easy to follow and is turning out nicely, thank you!
This is the first video I have tried of yours, and I was able to understand it, start it, and finish it today! There aren't many people's videos that I can do, but I have liked and subscribed to it!
Very well explained and I really love how you provided a sizing calculation too! Makes it very easy to change the sizes or switch to a finer or bulkier yarn. Thank you for posting this!
This is really cool...I am making one for a size 12 to 14 year old girl...so I did a single crochet to the size I wanted them double crocheted for the neck...after I get the poncho done I will add a hood...thank you for the video..well ✅
I am making this design for my 3year old daughter and I am almost done with it. It has come out beautifully thanks to your detailed explanation. I used 2 different coloured threads for my poncho. But I have 2 questions - 1. How do I get rid of the loose threads 2. One of the colours got over midway. How do I join the new thread to continue the design
Beautiful poncho . I would love for you to do part 2- in English so that I could do the whole poncho dress. Is this something that you could do.?.. you do a great job of Explaining how to make this poncho pattern 🙂
@@HopefulTurns Hi Vinita, may I please ask a favour from you... Being a beginner I do not understand the type of yarns that's being used ( for eg, DK 4 weighted). Sorry if I am asking too much , but if you could please explain the difference and also from where to purchase it in India.... thanks a lot
Actually I do have a separate video where I talk about different yarns and yarn weights. But it's in Hindi, if are comfortable to follow it, then check this link ua-cam.com/video/bZ2KBik9v7Y/v-deo.html
Hi Vinita, I made the poncho and looks gorgeous. Not sure how I can share the picture with you. A million thanks to you for teaching us in a very simple manner. One request I have is ... when time allows please do a tutorial on making tissue box cover...thanks in advance.

Thank you so much for your great instruction. My granddaughter will love this. I am making it in red and white sparkle yarn for Valentines Day gift. You mention that you are turning this into a dress. Do you have the pattern for this dress to share🩷
Yes but use the recommended hook size for that yarn. Your chain stitch and cluster count may be different, just size it according to your granddaughter's. Hope you have fun making this 😊
I love this! Been searching everywhere for this with good instructions. My only questions are: you slip stitched in a few stitches in one of the rounds and I didn't know why and I didn't see that again? Can you explain? Also, would have loved to see how you weave in all those ends.I shy away from color changes due to that but I wish I could do that as the colorful rows are so pretty. To clarify, I am not changing colors. If I do the slip stitch 3 x at the beginning of the round I am off by a cluster. Please help.
The best crochet tutorial on UA-cam. Mam I'm from Bangalore and have made many products seeing ur tutorial. Also pinged u my products on instagram. Hope u have a look 🙏🥰 please we want some more new products like house decoration or macrame. 🙏🙏
Thank you so much Apoorva for your feedback🙂. Saw your products, they look great. I am planning a few more tutorials for home decor, so please do look out for them☺
Hi Linda. For this pattern to have to start with multiple of 8 chain stitch. So instead of 100, start with 104 chain stitch. Check the time stamp at about 5minutes, I have spoken about that. So when you do 104 ch st, you will have 104/ 8 = 13 clusters. Hope this helps.
Is it OK if I start the poncho with a 4.5 mm hook for the first 4 rows n then switch to a 5mm hook..so that it's tighter n more dense in the first 4 rows n then falls well in the later rows . Also I think I the 1st row of single crochet, my round is a little twisted. Can tips to correct that ?
You surely can change the hooks mid way, not a problem. But as for 1st row, make sure that the first row is not twisted. Actually I forgot to show a method to avoid twisting of yarn in this video, but you can check this video at about 3.50 timestamp ua-cam.com/video/KHaR7ADwEnw/v-deo.html
I have followed up all the steps of your video but but conners are not fall in into the same spot I have started over three times an still don't work out for me.
An easy poncho I want to know if you could send me the directions how to make the poncho. To 1653 Hawthorne Drive Mayfield Heights Ohio 44124 I would really appreciate it.

Yes but use the recommended hook size for that yarn. Your chain stitch and cluster count may be different, just size it according to your granddaughter's. Hope you have fun making this 😊
Thank you for this wonderful tutorial, but how do you make it to be 4 corners instead of 2

Thank you for explaining it nicely. But somehow my chain gets turned. Not able to make out where I am going wrong!
So it's # of stitches ÷ 8 for the number of clusters then cluster in the 4th stitch? Cause I'm doing that and it's not working out at all
Very nice
Thank you
i have a q can you make a hood on it like a video wise
How much yarn is required for 12 year old girl poncho??
I started a 96 chain but I’m lost where I am at the 2nd corner.
