    I love the way you explain your work. I used to make ponchos for my daughter, 50 years ago but had forgotten. Now my great-granddaughter wants one and I have been searching UA-cam for a good pattern and directions. You provided both, and thank you very much. Looking forward to seeing more of your work. You make it look so easy, and explain every step.

    Thank you for this tutorial!!! I made a poncho for our 2-year-old granddaughter and then a matching one for her 18" doll.

    ThNk you! For all you do! When the pandemic 😷 became real, I needed a healthy distraction. My grandmother taught me to crochet and knit when I was very young, but I didn’t keep up with it. Then I stumbled onto your channel! Best decision ever! You and your tutorials taught me soo much and saved me from cabin fever. 🤗 Now I’m crocheting for homeless shelters and oncology patients. Oh, of course my family! They’re my test subjects! 😄 Thank you again!

    I used 2 different coloured threads for my poncho. But I have 2 questions -

    2. One of the colours got over midway. How do I join the new thread to continue the design

    I love this! Been searching everywhere for this with good instructions. My only questions are: you slip stitched in a few stitches in one of the rounds and I didn't know why and I didn't see that again? Can you explain? Also, would have loved to see how you weave in all those ends.I shy away from color changes due to that but I wish I could do that as the colorful rows are so pretty. To clarify, I am not changing colors. If I do the slip stitch 3 x at the beginning of the round I am off by a cluster. Please help.

    My head measured 24, ch stitches 100 to reach 24 divide that and equals 12.5. Do I round up to 13 for
    the number of clusters? Thank you

    • @HopefulTurns
      @HopefulTurns  2 роки тому +2

      Hi Linda. For this pattern to have to start with multiple of 8 chain stitch. So instead of 100, start with 104 chain stitch. Check the time stamp at about 5minutes, I have spoken about that. So when you do 104 ch st, you will have 104/ 8 = 13 clusters. Hope this helps.

    Is it OK if I start the poncho with a 4.5 mm hook for the first 4 rows n then switch to a 5mm hook..so that it's tighter n more dense in the first 4 rows n then falls well in the later rows . Also I think I the 1st row of single crochet, my round is a little twisted. Can tips to correct that ?

    • @HopefulTurns
      @HopefulTurns  3 роки тому +1

      You surely can change the hooks mid way, not a problem. But as for 1st row, make sure that the first row is not twisted. Actually I forgot to show a method to avoid twisting of yarn in this video, but you can check this video at about 3.50 timestamp ua-cam.com/video/KHaR7ADwEnw/v-deo.html
