- In this video I wanted to share to my fellow working keyboard players how to quickly access our favorites sounds for use on the gig in an instant. As you'll see its very easy to do and it will making playing live a more enjoyable experience.

Love your work Ed and am a subscriber. Great to actually see reviews/tutorials based on working keyboardists in the real world "Awsome" BUT....could you do the same vid for the "Fantom "X" or is it the exact same/similar steps?
I use Fantom X7 as my main board and to run sequences etc and a Fantom G6 (Fantom XR as backup in the rack)

one in upper octave & one in middle !! if i try to change octave of a single tone the whole tone gets shfting octave :/ please help me out ??
Nice demo...I have a question about FAVORITES using a LIVE set and the Fantom Controllers.
I have a LIVE SET which uses the EXTERNAL setups to drive another external mulit-timbral Roland Sound Module.
I created a Live Split at Middle C over 2 MIDI channels (Bottom half TRON Choir on CH1, top half TRON Flutes on CH2).
I set up the 2 left Fantom slider controllers to control the volume of these so I can adjust them mid performance and it is fine but registered in FAVs they do not work. Why?
How do you access the favorites? I added them, but they dot play
Great stuff however, if you use the studio midi file in the favorites it will play the sounds from the live set and not studio set i guess would need to import your song as an audio track to fix this, am i correct ?
Hi Ed, excellent video. For someone who plays mostly live, would you buy a brand new FA 06, or a used Fantom G6? In other words, are the somewhat comparable for sound quality snd ease of favorite patch access?
I wonder what you ended up doing? I’ve a FA07 - much better keybed and of course less cramped than the FA06, and a G8. The latter for home use only as in its case it is not easily movable by one average guy - weighs a ton. G6 a lot lighter but still much more robust than FA06. The huge screen on G series massive advantage. Accessing Favourites easier on G series IMHO. Supernatural sounds on FA are better than what’s on G, but in a gig not sure anyone would notice ;-)
The sounds cut when i change in favorites?
Salu2! Tengo 128 canales midi, Cómo puedo utilizar un instrumento diferente o sea en el Canal 17 en adelante. Y lo otro es Cómo puedo aplicar un multi efecto a un canal de audio,por ejemplo un compresor un ecualizador, sin necesidad que sea en la toma del audio,si no que ya yo tengo ese audio y quiero aplicarle esos efectos. Hello guys, I got question: How can I transpose the whole set of favorite at once? When pick another favorite patch, the transpose setting went back to zero.

Ed, how can i buy a lcd screen and glass on my roland fantom g. The lcd and glass is broken but still has sounds. 😩
Reach out to your local Roland in your country and get in touch with their service department. They can let you know if those parts are available for purchase, plus you can look up an authorized Roland service center.

Price of fantom G6?
i will try again If you put in a midi file ie song it will play but when you add a favorite live set and select it the midi file will then play using the live patch NOT the studio patch which it was made in thus sounding different . Is a mix down to audio the fix >
Hi- Ed should I update my firmware to what is available out there right now my roland Fantom G 8 it's currently on version 1.03 or should I just leave it where it's at update won't give me much more anyway please advise thank you -ed
Hello, you should always update your keyboard to the highest update available. Sometimes the updates don't improve features, but more tighten up the way the system operates.

भाई जब तक हम किसी रोलैंड के इंस्ट्रूमेंट को समझ पाते हैं तब तक जापानी कम्पनी उसे बनाना बंद कर देती है तो उसे बनाने का क्या फायदा किसी इंस्ट्रूमेंट के फ्यूचर को जानने के लिए कम से कम 5 से 10 साल का समय लगता है प्लीज़ ऐसा ना करे हर इंस्ट्रूमेंट foreaverमिलना चाहिए
