Roland Fantom G Motif Sequence

In this video I wanted to show how to properly hookup the Motif to the Fantom G for sequencing. This is another way that you can take advantage of the Fantom G's ability to control external instruments. Try this out with other external hardware instruments as this procedure will work with them as well. Good luck and I hope you find this video helpful.

Fantom X and G have a very well designed sequencer. I don't like pattern based sequencer such as the montage, XS, XF and MODX

Can the sounds of the motif be sampled into the fantom and played without the motif being hooked up by midi? For example, if im playing my fantom, can I use the motif strings without midi?

Hello Ed, Just wanted to ask. Is there a way to use the roland fantom x6 sounds on the yamaha motif xs6 sliders and if so, can I play both sounds from motif and roland keyboard as I need them? I wanna create sounds from both kryboards at the same time but cut sounds off when I do not need them.Your response would be greatly appreciated.

hi ed i have a fantom 7 and a motif will this video work for it as well? I follow you in the video until you say go into song mode for fantom g. also i cant find the patch edit to insert the motif control numbers to trigger the motif and to move the patch to external sound. HELP PLEASE!
