As a woman, as well as a sex addict. (8 years of therapy) I've never had a drop of alcohol or partaken in any kind of abuse of drugs. Yet I can completely relate to these stories, the scene, the juxtaposed lifestyle that we tend to experience and share are so fascinating.
I was never sexually abused, raped, or experienced abuse of any kind within my childhood or adulthood. Some people are inherently more sexual, therefore interests peak with a stronger, and almost insatiable desire. Most sex addicts tend to be men, but of course sexual identification has nothing to do with one's desire to immerse themselves in their own sexual interests.
I take from this yet another humans story, a pulchritudinous blend of what we seek for our own interests. Thank you for sharing.

She obviously could do interviews on her own, but equipment costs money, editing skills and software is needed and takes A TON OF TIME, PLUS her work alone wouldn't have the audience that SWU does.

He actually might be both. Someone who’s experienced some fucked up stuff, and learned what people want to hear when listening to a good story. It’s a common technique for compulsive liars to over exaggerate while keeping a humble attitude so to speak to not risk their credibility and act like a total chad. There’s a good portion of sociopathy included as well. Whatever that guys agenda is when telling other people this stuff, talking so casually about sex with anyone opens up the chances of sex actually happening to a certain degree, at least in his mind. It has a manipulative characteristic to it that enters from the back door. No pun intended.
Why? He likes to be watched (not that uncommon) and those that like to be watched do like to share their experiences.

I've heard of other men who were raped when they were very young and they too became fixated, or imprinted, in what happened at the time of the rape and continue being aroused by the events within the sexual assault scenario. It is very hard to heal from esp since sexual pleasure is involved but then, it's not pleasure either... a tough situation to be in. I feel a lot for you, James.
I don't recall him saying anything about being raped when he was young. He was seduced at 15yo by a more dominant female, and says he loved it. Just because she seduced him and they were young doesn't mean it was rape. He did say he was sort of sexually assaulted as an adult but he can't really remember it.

Sounds like my friend of a long time 8+ years, due to sexual trauma as a child one has that in their subconscious and it manifests in hyper sexuality.
Thankfully she too, has in a way decided to stop doing things and rather “wait for the person she’s going to be with because I deserve to enjoy sex and not be with men who only care about their own gratification”.
In her words to me, guess she realized she deserves more.

@John Smith it's all about self discipline and not putting yourself in situations where you know you'll give in to impulses. It's so hard. I went 6 years with no sex then for a year I gave in and I felt like I was dying bc of the shame and guilt that came with it bc I knew I shouldn't be doing what I was doing. It was so hard pulling myself back out of that pit but in just a few days I'll have a year celibate again. it's a constant daily struggle. But I want to explore healthy sexual desires with someone I love and care about and am committed to.

Let's say that some or all of these stories are made up. The need to publically lie on that scale would still be an example of someone dealing with mental/sexual issues, which is, in itself, a case study.
I read once that everything, including lies an outburst, are the patient trying to subconsciously tell their story. I’m aware that this is not psychotherapy, but the quote seemed relevant.
@@scattau41 The running theme to many of these stories is that sex happens TO him, without his agency. The camp experience, the threesome, the hockey team deciding to film him, "falling into" escorting and being taken to parties and events. He is wanted, pursued, and desired.
Could speak to what's missing in his life. You'll notice that for part of the interview he claims to be speaking honestly and openly about his experiences, but his hands are resting in front of his pelvic area, obscuring it. Words say yes, body says no.
What makes you think that the majority of these stories are made up? (although his story sounds a but outlandish - I am more talking about the other stories on this channel)

It’s refreshing to hear a straight face conversation regarding sex or even ideas of any sort of situations. Especially with the extremities that are easily access online presently, it still seems unspoken about. Maybe it’s still suppressing on my own end, as I don’t find these conversations regularly or outwardly discussed about. Even amongst my closest friends or peers, there’s still a lot of taboo around what others might consider typical or normal.
Thanks for introducing these subjects through your content. It’s definitely made a lot of folks do some thinking.

Where are you from? I feel (thankfully) that I can have those conversations quite easially. I'm scandinavian with geeky friends and hang out on internert porn sites specifically for drawings. Loved ones and those comment section have little taboo.

I also think that when she says - "this is easy to analyze when you have education on trauma psychology" - indicates a certain condescension, presuming her own educational background gives her some sort of credit to leave such comments, while simultaneously giving her the authority to dismiss the opinions of others whom are different than her own.

It all comes from my spiritual views that most do not share but to me, this is the overexertion of the sacral chakra. In balance, our sexual nature empowers us, it helps us to connect deeply with our bodies and to connect deeply with another. It allows us to connect to unmatched pleasure, which brings our focus to the present moment. And of course it creates life.
But excessiveness and overindulgence always causes an imbalance in our lives. It will never bring growth or healing.
People in our society are far too focused on sex and money and status and CONSTANT PLEASURE, and it’s fucking sad. It’s why we live in such a toxic and sick world. Nobody knows balance. Nobody knows the difference between wants and needs. Nobody knows themselves at all. Constant distractions, addictions, unhealthy coping mechanism & they try to normalize it so they don’t feel shame instead of trying to just HEAL and do the hard work to GET BETTER.
