    Hi, nice quick tutorial which shows the important stuff in a clear concise manner. One minor thing though, technically you have 97 frames 0-96, always struck me as odd that cinema begins at frame 0 rather than 1(I can sort of understand logic based on timecode but it sometimes means having to think about the project length - admittedly not a complicated thing to do)

    if anyone else has issues looping (i couldn't get mine to loop for some reason when i put in 4 for loop period), I changed my total frames to 95 instead of 96, and i had a loop period of 4.02 that seemed to work out for me.

    if your using an octane shader, you need to go to octane settings > settings > C4D shaders > uncheck box "use OSL for C4Dnoise..." It will not loop unless this box is unchecked.
    Also you cant drag the texture tag like in the tutorial, you have to use the custom shade option in displacer shading field, and copy/paste your noise from your octane material

    • @plvg_design
      @plvg_design 2 роки тому

      I also had to add an octane object tag on my plane to get the UV (2D) space to work

I made a noise shader in the displacement channel in my material and I want to use that shader to control the color shader. its kinda the opposite of what you did here.
