Hi, nice quick tutorial which shows the important stuff in a clear concise manner. One minor thing though, technically you have 97 frames 0-96, always struck me as odd that cinema begins at frame 0 rather than 1(I can sort of understand logic based on timecode but it sometimes means having to think about the project length - admittedly not a complicated thing to do)

if anyone else has issues looping (i couldn't get mine to loop for some reason when i put in 4 for loop period), I changed my total frames to 95 instead of 96, and i had a loop period of 4.02 that seemed to work out for me.

if your using an octane shader, you need to go to octane settings > settings > C4D shaders > uncheck box "use OSL for C4Dnoise..." It will not loop unless this box is unchecked. Also you cant drag the texture tag like in the tutorial, you have to use the custom shade option in displacer shading field, and copy/paste your noise from your octane material

I made a noise shader in the displacement channel in my material and I want to use that shader to control the color shader. its kinda the opposite of what you did here. Please let me know if you think there is a way to do this, i can't figure it out. Thanks!

I also had to add an octane object tag on my plane to get the UV (2D) space to work

Quite possibly, it will depend on which renderer your using, I went this way so it works in Octane
Is there a way to render this with Redshift? Everything is coming out looking blotchy
You can use any renderer, but you cant render Octane Materials and Lights without Octane

It worked 4 years ago when we put the video up, maybe it just needs a tweak to get it to work in newer versions of C4D - things change
