Finally tutorial that actually announces the parameters they are changing. Cinema 4d buttons are so small when trying to follow along a tutorial usually have to stop every second or to just to see what is being clicked

Hi, if I add the falloff(spherical field) to the turbulence, the turbulence seem not to influence the simulation anymore, or rather I don't see any effect on the spline. I used the same values like you (size, blending, etc) Any idea how to fix that?

I encounter material deformation and glitches with this geometry when just using cloth surface subdivision - instead it works best with either octane or redshift subdivision tag or subdivisions. In other occasions you can get away with just subdividing with cloth, in this case it was used merely for its thickness properties.

Hey could you please at least update in the comments what to do with newer versions? Nothing ever works with tutorials in cinema as soon as they are a few months old. Very frustrating!
We have litterally hundreds of tutorials and spend most of our time making new stuff, Maxon made some huge changes recently for the better but we cant go back and correct everything. It's usually the case only 1 or 2 settings need to be tweaked to make it work in newer versions. Maybe we'll do a new video about something similar

Hey Kemuri, we dont get asked for RealFlow tutes very often but it's definitely something we could look into! We mostly use X-Particles or Houdini for liquid sims these days, but RealFlow is still super powerful!

Thanks for the comment SpriteKnight! You dont need Octane at all for this or just about every one of our tutorials. Because we make so much content (and we pay for Octane) we use it all the time because it renders MUCH MUCH MUCH faster and MUCH higher quality than the standard renderer - not to say you cant get great renders from the standard renderer - it's just that we dont have time to wait around forever for renders. But let us know exactly what you'd like to see from us and we'll see what we can do;)
@@CGShortcuts Unfortunately for the foreseeable future that means anyone using C4D on a mac is out in the cold, which considering it's popularity on the platform is (imho) a pretty sizeable portion of your potential viewer base, if there was a AR version available for down load - you don't need to render from it - I for one would be straight on patreon... but maybe you don't need the extra spondoolies ;)

Had the same problem, figured it out - make sure to move the SoftBody Tag from the Spline to the Extrude

you have to cache the animation inside the mograph tag first, then you can convert it I think

Unfortunately, as far as I am aware, Fields don't exist in R19, which is a bummer!

Why use a Cloth and SDS, when you could use the Cloth itself for subdivision?
