    Thanks a ton for the great tutorial! I followed along using R23 and encountered an issue where the Pile Up Effector didn't work. R23 only uses Python 3.7.7 with no legacy support for 2.7.X, presumably what Arttu originally used for the script. For anyone trying to get the script to work in R23, doing the following worked for me:
    1. Click on the Pile Up script in the object manager.
    2. Click on the Effector tab.
    3. Click "Open Python Editor" below the code window
    4. In the Expression Editor go to line 21 and delete the "x" in "xrange".
    The code at line 21 should then just read "for i in range(0, cnt):" (no quotes). Then just click on Execute and you should be good to go. Thanks again!

    Hey I have a question.

    Is there a second taturial of how you did the rendering and final texsstures?

    • @CGShortcuts
      @CGShortcuts  3 роки тому

      Thanks Danielle, I'll have a look at the script. I always use Octane to render these and not everyone has access to the plugin, so I dont always go through the process (as it's often the same steps each time). If you want to see exactly how I've done the lighting and texturing, all the final render ready project files (which include all the lighting, materials and render settings) can be downloaded from our Patreon page here: www.patreon.com/cgshortcuts or on our website cgshortcuts.com/product/pipes-render-ready/ or check out some of my octane free tutorials such as ua-cam.com/video/GKlNyQaM0OY/v-deo.html

      I'm not Sir, but may I participate?) I think basic advice is to spend a lot of time in C4D, just having fun with all of the parameters and functions, little by little grasping all of it's potential, so one day you'll just be able to embody a lot of your own ideas. And of course looking at works of other artists helps a lot, as well as watching videos from conferences, where software developers often present nice new features and techniques. Good luck with that!
