Rare Breed... love. $42 at Sams Club. Can't beat the price and flavor
Where is that? KY, WV or AZ maybe?
@@motohead077 Central Illinois
@@Tngoz Ok, thanks. Won't be around there anytime soon. Lowest I found it in areas that I goto is $50 total (no sales tax on booz there)... Anyway, actually never had the Rare Breed yet & wanted to ask people how much different/better is it than the WT101?
This year got a bunch of the 101 when found the 1.75L for $32.50 total, or $13.93/750mL. So was not in a rush to pay 3-4Xs for something that may be the same thing, just 10-15 proof higher. Would probably cost less to figure out how to remove water from the 101 & make it 115P, hah..
Yeah, so not sure if Rare Breed is aged any longer or selected from different barrels than 101. That would make some difference.
Your channel just came up on my feed-like your stuff-subscribed. Keep up the good info and down to Earth info👍
So awesome! Love seeing y’all together in these! ❤😊
I really enjoyed this video. Thanks for the content!
All in on the Turkey. Love the Sagamore Double Oak. Everything Sagamore.
Great video only downfall since I live in PEI only whiskey we got from this video was Jim Beam Black and honourable mention wild Turkey long branch
Well thought list. All excellent choices.
Great stuff! Definitely going to try that toasted Penelope.
That is my grandma’s whiskey, wild turkey. What she used to drink.
I think you’re spot on. Thanks for including Still Austin from my home ❤
Bought some Viski whiskey glasses based on this reco and I have to admit they are great. I feel the aroma and flavor is enhanced and weight/balance is perfect.
I love how much Al is into Whiskey now.
I was watching a completely unrelated video (about space), stopped in the middle to run errands. On those errands I grabbed a bottle of Knob Creek SB Select store pick. Came home, finished video, in the suggested videos was this video's thumbnail featuring the exact bottle I had just bought. Serendipity. I then watch said video and it's a veritable list of all my favorites since I'm such a toasted and double oaked fan. I'm just pointing at the screen nodding for the most part. Cheers!
I agree with all the picks except for Penelop toasted at the $70 range. Ain't no way, for me that is. Every thing else....yes.
Love the Knob Creek! My go to when I’m sitting around playing guitar!
People don't understand the createvity that come with music.
Got a KC SBSP for $42 not long ago. Absolute steal
Fun list. Sadly I can't get most of it. Love your videos 🤩
I've been following you since covid. Great content. I recommend you to all my leaf, beard and barrel friends.
We love basically all of these, especially the Still Austin and Old Fo 1920. These are all staples on our shelves and super tasty value sippers.
I just bought a set of 4 Admiral Rocks glasses from Viski using your link! Keep up the great videos!
Haven't seen the Jim Black 7 in my area yet but heard good things. Your list is spot on! For $35-40 give Redwood Empire Lost Monarch a try! It's a great one!
That is a good one!
I worked at a cigar lounge summer ‘22 & I was able to learn about bourbon & whiskey✨ such an awesome experience
Been a minute since I dropped by the channel. Glad to see ya going strong you two love birds!
First time watching the channel. Loved it! Love that KC, Sagamore, and Rare Breed.
Still Austin is doing slow water reduction so they basically re-add water to barrels so they don’t lose water so fast in the Texas heat. I think that’s the difference in flavor you get and it really tastes great!
So I tried the Wild Turkey 101, amazing!!
Great vid! Thanks
Just got the Jim Beam Black 7 Year this weekend very good solid 90 proof
Was hoping you'd include the new Beam 7. Well done 😎
I have been following for over a year now and love what you put out! As a military guy coming up on retirement soon #retired I love expanding on my whiskey pallet. #Bangforyourbuck #Viski
Love the list!!! Haven’t had Still Austin though. That Jim Beam Black 7 year is a bargain banger!!! I put it up there with my favorite bargain banger WT101.
So I hate JB white & DO as do lots of people. Though I love WT, Knob Creek line, OGD line. Is there any chance I would like the new Jim Beam 7yr?
Think I'm gonna grab an Old Forester 1920! Thanks you 2, Love the Channel! Cheers!
Great whiskey tasting! Heading to the liquor store for some of your recommendations!
Bro, certainly going to have to use this video and stock up the stock. Great video as usual, can’t wait to see everyone on the live tomorrow night. #bangforyourbuck. #viski.
Early Times, BANGER!! Underrated budget whiskey. Great list! 👍🏽
just picked up 2 bottles for $17 each here in Jacksonville based on @JeremySiers recommendation. Turn's out we live a 1/2 mile apart! Smells smooth and will try after dinner.
I haven’t had Jim Beam Black 7 yet but I can’t wait to do a blind between it and Evan William’s Small Batch. I’ve had all the rest you featured on your list and completely agree with you. Still Austin is hard to find here in rural Kentucky or I’d have more of it. Love the channel, keep it coming
I don't think Still Austin distribute to us here in KY just yet.
I love the Penelope Toasted but all of their juice is great. I am enjoying the Architect now.
Everybody's different. A lot of people like Maker's 46 but, I get a good flavor from it, but on the nose I get a fingernail polish remover that is hard for me to get past. Rare Breed is one I don't let myself run out of. I'm also a big fan of double oaks. I also love Ryes. One of my favorite farm distilleries is coming out with a new rye this summer, and I just happen to be visiting the area when the release is happening. I am definitely booking a tour, and tasting.
Don’t forget about the 3 Kirkland offerings every year from 1792! At a liter each, BANGERS for sure!
Still Austin Blue and red corns are so good!!
Great list !!!
Have you tried Nikka Coffey Grain Whisky? Love to see both your opinion on it. Not crazy expensive either. ...and getting easier to find.
Good list! Not a big fan of the Old Forester, except for the 1897 but definitely with you on the Knob Creek!
Great video guys❤
love seeing Still Austin on here! So good
The only bottle on this list that I don't currently have is the Still Austin, and you're right on the money on all of them.
Jeremy got tore up taste tasting those whiskies lol. But good vid! And thanks for the list. I'm going to be trying out a few of those bottles.
Sagamore DO is a Banger sleeper.....on sale in my area for $49. Great juice.
Always a great time when Big Al is in the house! Great vid as always!
I love every one of these whiskeys the only one I haven’t had is still Austin can’t wait to give it a try love all the content you put out
Great video y'all & even better pull on the Sagamore Double Oaked! My buddies & I had a chance to tour the Sagamore distillery up in Baltimore & highly recommend the experience. Learning about the impact of their local grain sourcing in Maryland & their limestone water filtration process was fascinating. The combo of caramel & toasted coconut note on that one is a personal favorite. Hoping my next #bangforyourbuck pour is in that HOLD FAST #viski glass
I second Old Forster 1920 and Knob Creek SB, which doesn’t have to be a store pick. I like Wild Turkeys 101 and Rare Breed, what I prefer though is use that money to buy me Russell’s Reserve Single Barrel, very nice experience and much more complex and enjoyable. Cheers!
Love wild turkey 101 and the Still Austin cask strength is excellent. I would have also included Jack Daniels Single barrel barrel proof and the barrel proof Ryes are always excellent.
Some hitters I'd toss in are Old Grand Dad 114, Benchmark Full Proof, and New Riff single barrel bourbon. My bottle of Knob Creek 120 proof was kind of harsh at first, but after a week or so of opening up the bite really mellowed out and now it's delicious.
OGD 114 & Bonded are fantastic, but what hurts them from being on the value list (at least the Bonded) is that they are not available in the 1.75L size. Bonded has 1L in some states, but 114 is 750mL only.
I could not agree more about Still Austin. Best Texas juice hands down!
So good right!!
Great presentation, is the Penelope Toasted that good ? haven't tried it yet. Cheers...
It's not. That's the only bottle I don't agree with. It should be $40ish at best.
@@bigtruckboy20011 What Penelope do you recommend ?
@markdunn1931 I'm not a big fan of Penelope whiskey, but liked the Architect.
Got to try Still Austin last time I was in Texas - great bourbon!! Good choice. Go look up the story of the distillery too!
All nice choices. Lately Rare Breed has been my got to bourbon...
Love the content my man! Just got into the whiskey scene about a year ago and I can officially say its the way to go. I've been exploring all the small/local distilleries in my area and they have a ton offer. Appreciate the whiskey talk! #bangforyourbuck #viskey
Another solid video and lineup 👍🤘
My go-to favorite bang for the buck lately has been Elijah Craig, tasty stuff for a great price. I also get Woodford often to change it up
Still Austin has so much potential. It just needs another year in the barrel to mellow out the grain/youthful notes. I still like the cask strength. It just needs that little bit extra time.
Love the list! Can't get Early Times BiB for MSRP in my area. Got a bottle for $50 around 4 months ago or so and it was a steal (seen it for upwards of $80 in my area).
Nice list guys...hard to winge but I'd perhaps sub the Beam 7 for an Old Forrester 1910. Regardless - all pretty good drinkers or outstanding value.
1792 fullproof, rare breed, sagamore spirit picks, new riff single barrel, jack sbbp rye, knob creek select picks, knob creek 12, eagle rare, knob creek 9, benchmark top floor
You hit a lot of my favorites, (Mostly recommended by you earlier) and now I've got some new ones to try. Cheers to you and Big Al!! #Bangforyourbuck #Viski
already have my barware figured out but they look nice!
Enjoyed the video. Miss the whiskey and cigar pairing videos
He still does pairings on his other channel, Jeremy Siers After Hours.
Thanks for the info. I’ll definitely subscribe to that channel as well
Bro, certainly going to use this video to stock up my collection. Great video as usual and can’t wait to see everyone on the live tomorrow night. #bangforyourbuck. #viski
You know when you adjust your hat multiple times your are feeling a good whiskey buzz! Haha love to see it!
Dude, I gotta say it. #1 was something you recommended a year or two ago when I started on my whiskey journey. This was my "ah-ah" whiskey and will ALWAYS be one of my favorites. IJS
Glad still Austin is catching on. We went to the distillery opening and missed it once we moved to Florida.
#bangforyourbuck #viski
I have 8 of the 10 you showed. What is your take on Devils River barrel strength?
Balcones pot still bourbon is one of my favorites. Anything in the balcones line is amazing, but their pot still is my favorite.
All of their Whiskeys are amazing to me! TX whiskey!
Hellz yeah. Grab some backups they’re not distilling bourbon anymore.
@@Mykkus Balcones isnt? Since when?
@@steveo7767 announced November 2013
I love me some Still Austin. Nancy “The Nose” is a wizard. I know they get hate from people but I think they put out hitters.
spot on...that new jim beam 7 year is insane for the price. but the best value for the buck is for sure knob creek sb picks..however im shocked there was no Makers Mark store pick on here as around 110 ish proof and priced well makes my top 10 for sure!!! Cheers
/ Kev -liked the bang for buck I’ve been into single malts finished in Pedro Ximénez casks it’s got the red rant thing going on & more 🥃 you guys look well 👍
Yay more Whiskey and Al content!!!
A simple Evan Williams BIB is phenomenal at the $20 price. I feel very underrated as well as 1792 full proof
Greetings from World Golf @jeremysiers . I tried the Early Times BIB, not a bad sipper and made a nice Old Fashion for $17!!!
Jeremy thanks for the good content
Seen a lil bit of that Penelope toasted I’ll have to give it a try
Penelope is one of my new favorites. French Oak is an acquired taste, but The Architect is my go-to...
I loathe and despise wild turkey rye, it goes down like sand paper.
101 is awesome! 101% agree!
If you can get it I also HIGHLY recommend Traverse City ... unless you get the fluffy flavored stuff (puh puh) lol
Definitely on the money with those whiskey choices, legit. The interaction between you two is always fun to watch. Thank you both for all your efforts! #bangforyourbuck #viskey
You’re absolutely right, the whiskey prices have gotten out of control. Great video!
#bangforyourbuck #viski
I was starting to think I missed last video. Glad to see yall again. #bangforyourbuck #Viski
Seen Pendleton and took a chance and it’s all I drink now
Great list. For the same price and proof I'd take the Evan Williams American Hero Edition 1783 over the Jim Beam Black 7, though. Cheers.🥃😎
Definitely been getting into more of the single barrels and store picks lately. Keep up the great work guys. Always love the variety of vids! #BANGFORYOURBUCK #VISKI
Love these!
I need to try Still Austin with my next purchase. Thanks for the review as always. #Bangforyourbuck #Viski
Great video! New to the whiskey/bourbon world and have been trying to get good off the shelf bourbons to start my collection. Did my first allocation hunt day yesterday and had a blast. #Bangforyourbuck #Viski
Is that the Penelope toasted bourbon or rye? They’re both fantastic
i love toasted and double barreled products and i really wanted to like penelope, but the toasted and the rose finish give me very little other than hot young juice. the 9 year barrel proof was okay but im convinced i just got bad bottles :/ absolute banger of a list all around tho
That cigar box though!!! 🔥
I'm just getting into all of this. You are one of my favorite channels to watch and learn #bangforyourbuck #viski
101 best budget bourbon I think❗️
Rare Breed my favorite bourbon!
My Knob Creek favorite bang for the buck is the 12 year 100 proof. Typically $60-65.
Early Times if you can find it in TN is around 30 to 35 a bottle. Its a great bottle
You have to try Amruth amalgam malt whisky! You won't regret it. It's affordable as well.
