I just passed Bromley 21st June 2023 with 2 x minors and here is my advice: = be prepared to do a manouvre before you leave the test centre - I was asked to bay reverse park straight away. = don't overlook early start slots - I started at 8:10am and the roads were not even busy. = don't rush out at junctions - slow down in 1st gear, check both ways AND THEN move off, you don't have to rush off thinking your gonna be marked down for hesitation. They want to see your navigating and checking both ways safely. = don't get caught up in too much conversation - this distracted me on the independnt driving and nearly missed my right-turn on two occassions, being overly nice won't help you pass, concentrate on driving safely!
Thank you so much for your lovely feedback I stay in Bromley but for me to get the book is really hard in Bromley Centre first time I give my test in west wickem I fails at around board I’ve been driving five years back home because there is not many roundabout how many roundabout get it in Bromley centre? If you don’t mind, tell me if you know anyone booking early let me know as well

I just had my driving test yesterday in sidcup and i passed first time with only 3 minors. I have watched a lot of your videos whilst learning to drive and they really helped me. Thank you, Francis.
I wanted to thank you for all your incredibly helpful videos. I started learning to drive at 20 and was just too nervous, so gave up. I started learning again this year (I'm now 39) and I have just passed with 0 faults at Hither Green. Anytime I wasn't sure about anything I used your videos to help me. They were invaluable, thank you!
I passed at Sidcup a month ago, the examiners are really nice. I actually should’ve failed because I mounted the curb a little when he asked me to pull over in the first 2 minutes of the test (I had never mounted the curb in all my lessons so I don’t know where that came from!) But at the end of the test he said because the rest of the drive was perfect he passed me 😌
Im glad you passed your test. regards your situation with the Kerb because you didn’t cause any any other Rd users any issues. And as you say it was only a little touch. It only counts as a driver fault. But had there been a pedestrian there it would of gone to a serious fault..
The Bromley/Sidcup areas are amazing cause every road is pretty much 30. Did my test in Hither Green and It’s really annoying that the roads are 20. Even the massive road that goes from Lewisham fire station to Catford is 20 which is very annoying as it’s such a massive road.
Lol because the sign has the junction marked as before 12 o'clock making it a left turn but I've been told an examiner would verbally tell you it's straight ahead 🤷♂️🤦♂️
Sorry Francis but you failed this driving test. At the roundabout (22:42) you were taking the second exit but you positioned in the left only lane. You should have been in the middle lane to be able to take the second exit👍
Last year I made the mistake of booking a test at Sidcup cause it was the only area with slots and on top of that I hired a car I used first time the day of my test. All because I wanted to pass quickly. DONT make the same mistake I did ! I ended up failing which in hindsight was inevitable. Moral of the story is don’t rush into your test. Luckily I passed in Hither Green which I’m very familiar with. Good luck to those who have tests coming up!
I am teaching someone so want to confirm something because I classes various things you did as major mistakes. Please advise 1. Roundabout at the end 22:30 you failed in my opinion as you should have been in the middle lane. 2. Waiving thank you to others 3. Lane discipline was off most of the video. In particular your tyre was unnecessarily crossing the cycle lane 4. Hands not on wheel most of the time 5. On left turns you are crossing over to incoming lane unnecessarily
I use to ride a motorbike around sodcup for 4 years and I've been doing driving test 100+ hours over years and stopping. My test is in a few days in sidcup and I can't wait
You should do a Burgess Hill test route in South East, loads and loads of roundabouts, Higher speed limits and tight roads with loads of meeting situations and lots of different hazards around
Most of my lessons have been in Belvedere but my instructor suggested we do Sidcup for test as the examiners are more forgiving? Does anyone know how true this is? 😅 did my first drive round Sidcup today and I think I prefer Belvedere but probably because I’m more used to the area now. Need more lessons in Sidcup for sure!!
I also preferred belvedere cause I was used to it but I passed today on Sidcup and tbh it's true all the examiners are really nice and friendly and give you prompts
When you re do Sidcup can you do ruxley roundabout 4th exit and head straight to crittals corner! Thanks for all the great vids! A whole video on crittals corner would be good!! 😊
Hi, if you guys watch the last 3min of the video. The part where he’s approaching crittals corner going straight over the 2nd exit. This guy is telling people to be in the left lane. Even tho it’s clearly marked left only. In the video he goes straight on from the left only lane 😂😂😂 you sure mate
At 23:16 why did u take the left lane on the roundabout, was it not a dedicated late for left exit? I would have take the Center lane as was going straight ahead
Left only lane applies to any exit on the left hand side of the roundabout, not just first exit. Looking at the sign before the roundabout his exit was before 12 o'clock so left lane was the correct choice there. Definitely can be confusing though!
I agree my instructor tells me to stay in the middle lane and merge into the lane to leave after past first exit. Staying in the left lane be easier. I'm gonna ask him tomorrow at 10am.
Got my test tomorrow. I am a little underprepared as I was told by my parents it was next month :/ I could fail but I know that I should just get it done with because there’s no point in cancelling it
They all have their challenges and good points. None of them stand out as much harder than the others! If you're going to take a driving test anywhere though you should definitely practice in the area to build up familiarity 😊
If I'm on a test and a situation like 7:28 happens, and someone gives me a gap, am I allowed to say thanks and take it? Or will I be marked down for "bullying" my way into the road??
There are around 15 routes the examiners use. It’s just a guide of what to look out for and the main tricky bits but you could go anywhere! Then again, you might get that exact route!
Hi, I always watch ur video and it’s really helping me a lot. Do you have any other video for sidcup driving test. I have a test in sidcup centre 2nd of May at 8.10 am. Please guide me.
Hey Maya thanks for watching! This one is at sidcup too 😊 Instructor gets caught up in a police chase! Sidcup mock test ua-cam.com/video/Hcq8baHWOMA/v-deo.html
Could any one help me understand the rule for pedestrian island , I failed an exam as the pedestrian should hesitance on the island and I just went ahead assuming cars have priority while crossing the island, the examiner failed me saying that according to the new highway ruke I should have given way to the pedestrian, however I could not find the rule in Highway Code
I learned all my lessons in Sevenoaks. I failed my last test in Sevenoaks at Morley round about while trying for overtake. My friend suggested me to book my next test at Sidcup. Can any one suggest me, Please?
Sidcup so easy !😅 You are driving at a time when there is no traffic 😄 Try driving in the traffic, then say it is so easy. Especially at the roundabout near the center
ooh I like the idea of roundies in the glove box for emergencies! I can imagine a chocolate biscuit left in a car in the summer would make quite a mess of a glove box though 😳
Sorry but I think you were in the wrong lane when you wanted the second exit at crittels corner roundabout 😢I still think you are great ❤
The sign says left second exit but the examiners call it straight so you are correct and you should use the middle lane.
Oh thank god I got confused for a second
Thanks for the comment
Yeah I thought the same thing
Real 💯

And as you say it was only a little touch.
It only counts as a driver fault.
But had there been a pedestrian there it would of gone to a serious fault..
That's nice but other drivers are not so lucky to have their test conducted by people like this.
Passed my test here yesterday on my first attempt with 4 minors 🥳 thank you to your videos
I passed my test two days ago on this exact route, thank you!!
Is it hard ?
@@grindhardnation509nah just use common sense and common driving principles and you’ll be perfectly fine

Agreed! That road being 20 is madness! It’s such a breath of fresh air being able to drive at normal speeds!
I failed at Hither Green as there were so many 20 roads, I didn't switch to 30 when I turned into a smaller road which was a 30. So frustrating!
Passed Sidcup today my instructor was Shane he was lovely.
When you came off the a20 at Sidcup with B&Q on your left ,you took the left lane to go straight ahead towards Swanley/foot cray roundabout..
Lol because the sign has the junction marked as before 12 o'clock making it a left turn but I've been told an examiner would verbally tell you it's straight ahead 🤷♂️🤦♂️
@@DrivingSchoolTV Trust me, you would have failed for that. That's left only, - first exit only, not second exit. But it made me smile.
@@DrivingSchoolTV my examiner told me under no circumstances should i take the left lane there always the middle
I’d love if you did Sidcup again with the big roundabout near the test centre! The one with five exits
Sorry Francis but you failed this driving test. At the roundabout (22:42) you were taking the second exit but you positioned in the left only lane. You should have been in the middle lane to be able to take the second exit👍
Can you do the Erith Test Centre next please.
Yes!! I've actually never been to Erith test centre at all so that should be interesting!
Don’t go there no good place
Erith! Very bad test centre mate!

Can you do one for the Erith test center please?
I’ve been practicing in sidcup booked my test there for September🤞🏼 but one thing there’s sm obstructions and zebra crossings😂
