28:12 - that's exactly what happened on my driving test. I didn't realise that the test was shorter due to the demand, so when the examiner turned off the sat-nav and started guiding me back, I was convinced I had failed. But rather than give up I just put that to the back of my mind and carried on and when we got back I was shocked when he said I passed with only 2 minors. Just goes to show you shouldn't give us and stop trying if you feel like you've failed during your test.
My own I-thought-I-failed story -- the examiner put his hand onto mine and gently nudged it so that I get a safe clearance from parked vehicles on the right (Romania, driving on the right) and I had at that moment when it happened twice assumed that I failed. Surprisingly enough I passed AND the examiner remarked that I really breezed through it. I did get 11 points (21 is fail)

i loved the that aman is doing i passed my test in a 20mph zone all round southall. easy to pass. just make sure like the guy said local knowledge knowing how the roads merge into is always going to give the confidence when going for your test.
I would say Aman passed gloriously. Period. She verbalized everything she did very well, she showed she had control all the way through though she had to get used to a car she had never driven in before and she anticipated every situation like a pro. Unlike you on your mock test, but that was because you can get quite talkative. I bet that if you would take another mock test and concentrate more, you would pass as well. I love the cross channel collaboration, you have a new follower! 😅 If you ever want an experienced driver from the mainland to take a mock test, I’d be happy to come over there! I like the challenge! 😄

I now have an amazing instructor who has taught me everything. I didn't even know about proper gear changes with previous instructor. This one I'm nearly test ready in 15 lessons :)
It’s really important to enjoy your lessons!! You spend soo much time and money on your instructor don’t put up with a bad teacher!! Soo happy to hear you’ve found a good one now 😊

I had 10 lessons with my first instructor and hated him, as he put me off driving for 5 years due to poor teaching and communication. With my 2nd instructor, we had a laugh, and when i did my 1st emergency stop, he got shouted at and a smack, but he deserved it for shocking me and actually talked me through my driving and i passed 1st time with him
I really love both your driving lessons. But just one suggestion for her. She put her leg just underneath the clutch multiple times. It is very dangerous incase you have to do a emergency brake. Your legs may stuck with the clutch while responding really quick. Just always keep the left leg on the resting pad is more safer. Keep doing videos, love it.

When you were talking about the cycle area at traffic lights, (Where you would stop further back at the first white line, to allow cyclists to position themselves in front of you), In the town where I live some side roads would also have a raised red area at the end of the road/street, It looks like it has a white lowered curb as if you are going into a driveway, the red area, (sometimes it’s more like a paved area, not tarmac), then another lowered curb, before the main road at the end, There are a lot of drivers that don’t wait at the first white line, (the first lowered curb), to check if there is a pedestrian going to cross, The driver just pulls up to the main road, (checks and waits for any traffic), before pulling out, Basically the red raised area is to be treated as if you are pulling into or out of a driveway, as technically you are driving across a paved area where pedestrians have right of way, Pull up to the first white line, check for pedestrians, wait for them to cross, then pull up to the second white line, if the raised area is clear, to check for traffic on the road you’re turning onto, You should also be aware of this area when turning into these types of side roads, (they look like as shown at 14:55, but at the end of a narrow side street, mostly on the end of one way streets), 🇬🇧😎👍🏼

When you were talking about the cycle area at traffic lights,
(Where you would stop further back at the first white line, to allow cyclists to position themselves in front of you),
In the town where I live some side roads would also have a raised red area at the end of the road/street,
It looks like it has a white lowered curb as if you are going into a driveway, the red area, (sometimes it’s more like a paved area, not tarmac), then another lowered curb, before the main road at the end,
There are a lot of drivers that don’t wait at the first white line, (the first lowered curb), to check if there is a pedestrian going to cross,
The driver just pulls up to the main road, (checks and waits for any traffic), before pulling out,
Basically the red raised area is to be treated as if you are pulling into or out of a driveway, as technically you are driving across a paved area where pedestrians have right of way,
Pull up to the first white line, check for pedestrians, wait for them to cross, then pull up to the second white line, if the raised area is clear, to check for traffic on the road you’re turning onto,
You should also be aware of this area when turning into these types of side roads,

If it's a 20 limit does it make sense to aim to maintain a speed of something like 18 or 19 to make sure you don't accidentally go over 20? I don't drive, but I think if I was aiming to maintain 20 then I'd be bound to go at over 20 sometimes. What's the minimum speed you have to maintain on a test to make sure you don't get failed for not making progress?
southall test centre will take you through 20mph zones and will help a lot of new drivers to pass their test easily.
Hey why you doesn’t turn notifications see serious and dangerous make or pass ?
Haha this cracked me 🆙 (50) 😂
50 LMAOOO poor guy haha
The Mercedeses I have driven in Germany had the ‘handbrake’ controls on the outside as well (ie, on the left side in a left hand drive car).
My hgv instructor would say Mirrors to slow, mirrors to go.
I always watch her videos
Great video! Team DS TV for the win but possibly biased maybe just a little bit👍
Un my country (UA), you can’t take the bus lane, unless you are a bus or taxi or going to make a turn. Also, you can’t cross solid lines.
Doesn't the cameras put the students off driving? Meaning are they in the way??

"The smaller the space the slower you go"? nah you missed a golden opportunity (The smaller the space the slower the pace)
Ahhh love that one that’s even more poetic 😁🤩
Or even simpler, “less space less pace”
