    It all comes down to the basics of making the examiner feel safe and simply showing youre ready to be on your own

    Still feels weird seeing my town on youtube. Not used to it 😂 I'd be interested to know if I'd pass one of your mock tests if youre here again (already had my license a couple of years)
    Also love the common sense. "Were you intending to drive on the pavement? Well, why do you need to check it then?" Abandoned the 6 point check my instructor made me do long ago. By the time youve checked all 6 on a busy road you'd never get out. In front, road side mirror, road side blind spot and away

    I have had pupils fail for not doing a 6 point check when moving away, it was marked as a serious for accumulation of minors. That would tell me it depends on the examiner and at the end of the day it is safer to do the check than not do it.

    • @zenabraithwaite1934
      @zenabraithwaite1934 8 днів тому +3

      Yes it very much depends on the examiner.

    • @Stone2200
      @Stone2200 8 днів тому +1

      In that case better off doing the 6 point check for sure as you will not get marked for doing it.

    Jason reminds me of my examiner, mine really put me at ease and we got chatting away and found out we’d worked in the same area and probably met each other in passing. I clarified before I set off if it was ok for me to acknowledge/thank other drivers or if he’d do that (was told to drive safely and control the car) Found him so friendly we even had a few jokes and the test flew by and I was so calm. I think we had more banter as I was an older learner so we were a similar age. I thanked my examiner for being so nice after I’d found out I’d passed🙂

    I have my theory test this month and my instructor said that if I pass it, then I’m ready to book my driving test for October/November time!! Makes me nervous just thinking about it but watching these videos always makes me feel a little more confident to be able to do it😁

    • @j.4354
      @j.4354 3 дні тому

      Nothing to be nervous about if your instructor is confident in your ability then you’re all good my advice is with moves such as looking at your mirror make sure it’s evidently clear you’re looking at your mirrors or doing the correct action you’re suppose to do, I failed my first driving test back in 2019 because I didn’t move my head that much when checking my mirrors so they thought I wasn’t checking my mirrors and failed me just from that. Second time I got one minor. Don’t worry about it.

    I had the same conversation with my driving instructor. She mentioned that if there's no one around, you don't necessarily have to indicate. However, I pointed out that it could be worse if you miss someone and don't signal. We both agreed that it's probably best to indicate every time, especially during the test.

  • @Sir.T

    When I done mine, my examiner was rather miserable, no small talk at all. At the end of the test I did pass but I had a couple minors, however he never told me about the minors. I only knew once I got the email saying I passed & it showed the 2 minors. So I had no idea what they were specifically related to. The only thing he mentioned at the end was how come I indicated at the start when I didn't need to lol.

    i believe a bear left is like when you have multiple lanes and to go left, U HAVE to go in the left lane, its sorta like a merge?
    so basically your turning left, but you dont have to do anything apart from following the road, whereas at that junction in the video.. u had to stop, and check to see if you could go..
    13:52 if you were in the left lane and went left, id call that bearing left as you are sticking to the left lane to go to that exit, but its a left turn

  • @alaneggleden1388
    @alaneggleden1388 8 днів тому

    By belief is that a bear left can be a segregated left turn lane at a roundabout, or what you may call a filter lane, where there are no give way lines and it allows the traffic to flow without giving way to the roundabout

      Agreed. It's a massive problem. When there's a shortage of something then people can profit and thats what they're doing. If there was such a large supply that you wouldnt need to pay the resellers, you could just buy one in the normal way, their business model would crumble instantly. But that's just my opinion

    Bear left tends to mean when the road bears off to the left meaning the road turns that way at less of an angle then it would at a junction where you need to slow down then turn sat navs can't figure out the difference between when a road bears left or right and a junction when its less than a 45 degree turn
