Car prices have gotten ridiculous
Not if you're rich like me 😊
When they see low sales the prices will come down. Just wait a year or two
Yep! And they're not even that reliable. You pay almost 100K and in a year or so they start giving you problems. Should be totaly unacceptable!!
@@Clydeb_9994wow thats expensive
@@larsstougaard7097 You got 100K to give away, buddy? There's plenty of homeless people on the streets you can gift 100K to, since that's peanuts for you. Go out and do something useful for once in your life!
£93k!!! Car inflation is something else
gonna be 50k in 2 years from now
£65K for the Q6, £93K for SQ6.
Inflation is not just for tires anymore.
When a new petrol Skoda Kodiak is £50k, a high powered Audi SUV EV, with a high spec isn't going to come in cheap !
And its going to be 30k by end of next year.
I just realized I spent 12 min watching a video about a class of car I don't much care for from a brand I swore off years ago. Well presented indeed
i don’t care for SUVs either, but they’re how manufacturers earn back research spending and the technology will find its way to sedans and also to other brands under the VW umbrella
I only watched for Alex ❤
Giant fake vents in the front end are hideous.
Audi prices are totally bonkers!! $190.000 for the performance, and now $93000 for this?!?!
Price quoted is £, will be even more $ then?
$118,000
looks way better than the Q4 E-Tron tbf
only thing worse than the Q4 is the Merc EQA
Yea! The Mercedes is so fugly.
The Audi's rear lights warn a tailgating car...oh the irony.
Got to tell those BMW's to back off somehow.
@@mediocreman2Ae you stuck in the 90s? It’s all about the audiot drivers now!
I will wait for depreciation to do the job for me with the price and then buy pre owned. Car prices are so crazy recently.
I wish to subscribe to your newsletter.
So this is the equivalent of what used to be the sq5 and 93k pounds. Absolutely f***ing not
Shaking my head.
£93,000 or for us folk in the United States, that's 117,615$
WHO CAN AFFORD such things!!! Clearly these are LEASE ONLY vehicles.
Also, I can't wait until Audi starts incorporating some of the Rivian's technology into their vehicles.
If Audi starts using some of Rivian's hub motors for their all wheel drive systems then we'll start to see some faster 0 to 60 kph/mph times and some serious off road prowess. Of course this well come at a SATILLITE high price point!!
@adriancooper78 no one is taking an Audi Q6 off road, no one's taking an Audi anything off road.. I think it's safe to say that's the last thing Audi is looking to do. And Rivians haven't been out long enough to even be able to determine if any of their technology is worth being adopted and adapted to any car/truck from any brand, especially Audi.
@J_Starr007
Yeah!! I don't take my Audi off-roading!!!
The Audi Q6 is a bit too slick to go off the road. The VW group did send 2 Audi's to Rivian to adapt their zonal architectural structure to their vehicles. Isn't that one of the reasons why VW is investing some 5 billion dollars into Rivian?
just wait a few years. the depreciation on Audi especially the EVs is crazy. I have a friend who has the SQ8 E-Tron. He bought it used in 2021. He’s upside down on his loan. Tried to trade it in. So far, no dealership will touch it
Facts,thts what I've been thinking
In the US these cars are cheaper by about a quarter..
Starting to love Alex's reviews so much. Good job.
Her shoes are ridiculous.
She's actually 5' 5'' without them 😄
_"Is Audi's Macan Rival Worth £93,000?"_
Any headline in media or "journalism" that ends in a question mark can be answered by the word no.
*Betteridge's law of headlines*
Modern journalism is about clicks
The big tacked on screens makes the interior look cheap.
Precisely. But apparently if you dont have screens (or the other way around - if you have buttons) the Chinese perceive your car as outdated.
Gone are the days where driving was exciting and a liberating experience, now it is just a slap of screens, complicated operations with so many things capable of going wrong and don't even get started on the price.
Yeh, but they don’t fall apart from rust after 5 years.
@@andrew300169yeah, but mechanically they are worse designed than cars from 5 10 or 15 years ago. For example, they are using less aluminum and more steel. And they are less reliable too.
Yet they are still more reliable…
@@attackchopper2582They’re not, what do you base that on. Them running 5 years?
@@More_Row modern cars are actually capable of running 3 000 000 km without major engine overhaul. Older cars needed that at about 300 000 km.
I’m sure this, like all Audi EV’s, will be up for sale in six months with a huge discount. I was offered a pre registered GT with 300miles for £41k off list!!!!!
You would be insane to buy one at list.
Audi are only selling this car though Audi directly in the UK. The dealers can’t offer a discount on a new one. Even if you buy in the showroom it’s sold via Audi not the dealership. The dealership just gets a sale fee. However it will be interesting to see if a dealer buys one for full price from Audi and then sells it at a loss two months later, sounds like a good way to go bust.
Car prices lately doesn’t seem to make much sense, 93K used to be the price of Ms and AMGs
Car tech is getting stupid. I don't want and would never use most of the tech this car has, yet I have to pay for it, carry it around, and fix it when it inevitably breaks.
Well keep driving your '88 Corolla. Nobody cares.
The Corolla is a damn fine piece of equipment, that'll last long enough for the grandchildren to inherit. This monstrosity will spend most of it's time in a workshop, having some oddball electronic fault diagnosed.
@@phuketexplorer I can't get inside the thoughts in your head.
Great driving shoes 😂
those rear light units could cost a Corolla and a half to replace😐😐
Can I just say the quality of this is video is just as outstanding and impressive as the review itself.
Lovin' all the tech these new cars bring, but OMFG can't imagine the cost of replacing any of the parts post warranty, or crash like those configurable tail lights for example, and god knows what the price will be to replace an electrified charging port flap is/when it fails because I was pushed for time and forced it closed, or ripped it open by mistake 🤔
Your friendly wallet emptying main dealer awaits. I see they already want to charge you £450 to change the brake fluid and pollen filter. It's an absolute joke
I'd never buy brand new car, as soon as you leave the showroom the value of the vehicle drops like a stone.
The rear brake lights look like they're changing shape, I'm going to get closer to make sure.
The Macan 4 starts at £70k. With some careful options, 80k - Audi want HOW MUCH?!?!
This starts at £63k so it is cheaper than the Macan.
My Q4 e-tron has a staggered setup as well - not sure that's an Audi first?
Brilliant review. My fav reviewer and very pleasing on my eye
All I want, is to go from A to B, spending the least amount of money possible - and without all the pointless wizardry that'll never, ever ... EVER get used.
People are going to need mortgages soon to buy a car.
Vorsprung durch Technik💯
Thanks. Great review. The e-tron GT also have staggered wheels.
This Audi looks really good, inside and out.
Not inside, and not that much outside
It looks like most of all other Audis ))
I work at an Audi dealership service center in parts and I currently have a 2023 Q5 I’m 6’1 and probably close to 370. Q5 cabin is spacious, but the leg room in the driver seat is just a tad bit too short for me. I need about 2 to 4 more inches of lake room to be really comfortable. We recently just got Q4’s in as loaners and I took one for a good drive and the legroom is amazing. I didn’t realize from one of my trainings how much more space was in the two different vehicles. The Q6 is definitely very interesting. I know a spacious and sQ6 looks pretty damn good. However, even with my discounts that price tag is quite hefty. My current lease is up next year and I have been eyeing a SQ5 knowing that a new one is coming along soon hopefully it gets announced sometime this summer or fall and was planning on probably getting a 23 model when they go on fire sale to make room for the new gen Q5. I’m going to definitely keep an eye out on the newer Q5 whenever that is announced and the Q6 models.
That green silk top 🔥
Do the rear lights throw a middle finger at 1:59 ? Nice
Imagine a RSQ6 with a V8 twin turbo gas guzzling beast under the hood 😍
RSQ8 entered the chat
Audi's odd numbers will have the combustion engines so there COULD be an RSQ5 or 7 with that engine
Now we talking! Electric cars can go to hell and never return
Maybe at least a V6 but sadly the days of the V8 as we know it are numbered. Unless we can create and populize a new synthetic fuel that is more efficient than petrol and still keeps ice engines alive. It's not all about power. It's about whether a car is fun to drive or not aswell
I can’t wait until depreciation hits this … then I’ll get one 👌
Seriously what family can afford this, the basic spec car is more expensive than what my house cost. Car prices are nuts and the they will suffer as we will be forced to buy cheaper brands and even older cars and not change as often
ngl, it atleast looks pretty good
much better actually compared to what BMW's cooking
So the passenger getting their see only screen with satnav, so are we going back to when the missus would navigate for you while trying to read the AA Road Atlas ?
Those were good days! We ended up in some very unusual places!
I love that they put in lovely curvy screen surrounds, yet the screen within is always a dated looking rectangle. Surely the technology is there, look at smartphones and the new minis screen.
Was there a car being reviewed? I only clicked on it because of Alex. 😀❤️
I'm simply trying to imagine the kind of person who needs something like this.
It is an Audi, so the type of person to buy this is someone who has no idea whatsoever how to drive.
I really like the informative natural style of this presenter, unlike the distracting, over the top wackiness of one of your competitors. Thank you.
Great presentation! I would like to have the Q6 together with Alex :P
I enjoyed watching the Video, more sporty and stylish than the Q4 😊
Apart from the price this is one of the nicest electric SUV’s I’ve seen. Interesting to see what Audi does next with the new A6.
I want one of these stripped down, all wheel drive and as light as possible so I can get range for travel.
I like amenities as much as as the next person, but when I’m listening to all of this, I just think added weight.
93k for thr first sucker...er...buyer. 50k for the next buyer in two years for used value
2:40 Because of 5-10 cm difference in model size Audi runs all completely separate production line. And here's your answer why they're barely turning profit per car sold, meanwhile Tesla keeps dominating: sales, margins, market cap.
In Jamaica, every car is twice as expensive because our 'Customs' puts on a 100% tariff on the value of the car PLUS shipping q.q
Ditto Thailand
Does Jamaica have any of their own cars that they manufacture?
@@Jaykae_t nope we don’t
@@HowdaBoss that’s ridiculous to put a 100% tariff on all cars then since the country doesn’t manufacture any. Teef!
Thailand adds 300% to the import price - unless it's Chinese.
Stunning car! Sad that it’s an EV.
Stunning car! So glad that it’s an EV.
See what I did there? I only added three letters! 😄 😜
Imagine how much them lights will cost to replace when they go wrong
Only reason I watched this review was cos of Alex 😍
All wheel drive base with 19s would be the way to go. Especially if you get the package she mentioned for free. Big wheels just kill range
Audi already had wider rear wheels on the e-tron GT.
Clean af tho
Those front and side creases are a bit superfluous but otherwise it's a really good looking SUV.
Looking beautiful ❤
Mmmm... the car's looking good too! 😜
Well with 95 kw battery compared to Teslas 75 kw the consumption is way higher ! Almost Half a ton more heavy. That would be nice to tell...
That car door handles are the big no 😂😂😂😂😂
The rear tyres on my q4 are wider than the front so defo not a first??
And it was mentioned twice during the video, probably just read off the press materials.🤣
@@alphapcyu yeh great fact checking team haha
What about that is A.I? Those features existed before the term became popular.
Audi have really got their design direction on point at the moment, a lot better than Merc and, to my eyes, above BMW. It would be close between this and the Macan.
Who's paying £93k for one of these when they'll be worthless within a few years 😂 To say they're trying to push EVs on to us, they're doing a crap job with how expensive they are.......can see these being a flop. People will probably just buy a diesel Q5
Dude, I'm on my third electric car now, batterie longevity was never an issue. I've seen Teslas with 400.000Kms on the odometer, and FYI nowadays batteries are modular you no longer need to replace a full pack ;)
@@crventura I'm left wondering here why is it that big part of US EV owners are considering going back to ICE. They have everything going for them: subsidies, sun, cheap electricity, big SUV EVs, .. and still. It's a terrible sign. Just to clarify: I'm not against EVs. I live in mainland Europe in a big city in an apartment, and we don't have enough parking spaces as it is - let alone some dedicated to charging. It's just not gonna pick up, unless the governments spend tons of money making EVs the most expensive piece of crap there is.
@@drunkenwhiskeyeu I Tend to disagree. I live in Portugal, I charge my car every night comfortably in my garage, and I know no one that moved from an electric to a combustion engine again. I spend 74€ in electricity with my Tesla performance (514hp), I make 100km a day and believe-me I drive fast, if I'm to do the same 100km with my other car Z4 35is FBO I would be spending 646€ in petrol, adding the maintenance cost and taxes you know were Im getting... It would be only foolish to swap batteries for petrol with these numbers.
As of not having a place to charge, near your home, I'm guessing you don't make 100km per day driving from home to the office, an EV with 500km of autonomy would last you, with a single charge, for a week. Take the kids to Mcdonalds once a week and problem solved 🤗
Audi should get us A6 E-tron Avant instead of this first ❤❤❤
Alex great video and review keep up with great work 😊
Good review. It's a shame they want to charge £500 for the hole left from where the engine used to be. In fact it's more tban that, it's downright embarrassing.
Another strange Audism is that they won't let UK buyers spec air suspension on the lower models, you have to buy the SQ6 to get this.
And those on screen HVAC controls, you still have to delve into the menus to adjust fan speed.
Progress eh....
Beautiful new Audi SQ6 E Tron.
Will it have access to Tesla chargers? At this point, I would be hesitant to order anything that doesn’t. I charge my Ford lightning at one the other day just to test out how well it work and I have to say it was the most seamless experience I’ve had with the Ford. I’ve owned a couple of Teslas as well and I can tell you they’re charging the structure is way better.
I like the house.
Seems to be styled like her platform trainers..
Looks alright that.
Very competitive in its segment it would seem, yes it’s quick enough, I think anything 5 seconds to 100kph or under is more than quick enough for a daily car. Quite a good looking vehicle inside and outside and very practical with some nice features but the price is a problem but Audi doesn’t have that problem on their own I guess. For me though its biggest issue is it’s electric..
is Audi heading towards electric only for all the models?
So why would you need navigation on a screen that the driver can’t see?
Q4 also got wider rear tires.
These naming conventions are becoming confusing. Don't know why audi will add a 6 to this and it'll rival EQC & i3. These folks need to get their naming right cos in my head the Q4 etron was their rival while this would go against an all electric x5 & gle (when they arrive)
How is the eq6 more expensive than the eq8? ALSO WHATS UP WITH ALL THE PLASTIC?
Customised daytime running lights? 😂
This rear cup holders and the A/C controlls on a screen, sorry but no
What is this, Hyundai Tucson?
Love the design...very nice proportions
Where the next TT, R8 or A5 coupe?
I'll watch the full video again to see if I can see the car .. Audi, is it ?
That SQ6 will be about £50k in 2 years 👀
At this price..id expect an RSQ6
I really, really ,truly, truly miss the Unambiguous & Rock-solid design language of 1990s Audi/VW! when volumes & graphics were indestructible, original & iconic.(TT 1st gen/A6-1997/PASSAT/GOLF-mark 4/AVUS CONCEPT..) now its looks like a mish-mesh of strangely misplaced surfaces & humdrum proportions
The Q4 has wider rear tires in the rear than the front... not a first for Audi.
Electric cars are much more expensive than peteol vehicles, and an equivalent V6 peteol version would probably be under 80K
Dayum $100K 🙆🏻♂️
I just watched this video start to finish, was there a car in it ? 🤔
awesome review...seems only feasible to lease EVs these days.
That's actually really nice tbh
why does this cost more than a q8 Etron
Because it is the S model. You're paying £30K for 'extra performance' and a few more options. The Q6 also has superior battery tech to the Q8 etron.
You had me until the price, WTF!
Buy a Tesla keep the change for lifetime beers! Works for me...
Good car but I'm not paying £93K for it
A Volkswagen ID with audi badge.
One pedal drive?
Yes, various options from the paddles including one peddle driving, at least that’s what other reviews showed.
@johnharvey1786 i was curious as Porsche chose not to have a single pedal mode. I don't understand that decision as it's simply a software implementation. We have now owned three EVs, and both of us are quite fond of single pedal driving.
And also it looks like a Ford Explorer in the front.
Nice car, but not 93 fking grand nice.
