I used to watch Sammy’s Instagram streams and highlights, through the Acid Bath Archive UA-cam channel, and I loved listening to him talk about old tour stories, especially during the Acid Bath days. It’s so sweet having these dudes on the show.
GOATWHORE!! Saw them in a sold out venue that held 200 people max. No stage just playing in the middle of the floor with all of us. Best concert I've ever been to
I LOVE these guys, they are so humble and friendly to fans. they signed my whole gw vinyl collection and hung out with me for a half hour or more after show. zack even called TA to come look at my collection and had him and the fellas sign EVERYTHING i brought. They even took pics with me. they are the best touring band ever. much love to these guys.
@@prepperandson1399 fuck you're lucky man they look like a killer live band too in footage. I'll be missing this show but the last one at Freetown boom boom was a great show. Goatwhore is such a tight playing band. I remember them as a 5 piece playing at Main St in B.B. in the early days along with Sabbic Feast being another Bad Ass local
I’ve been listening to Acid Bath for years, my kids listen to them now, my wife likes some of their stuff, I’ve told countless coworkers about them too, just trying to spread the word
South Louisiana has some fantastic players down there. Watching the Morgan CityBayou Vista scene was pretty fun back in from 98 to 04. Not a ton going on but what there was slayed. Mind Bent comes to mind.
I love these guys so much and goatwhore deserves to be so much bigger than they are. Their new album is incredible on so many levels. I hope you guys come back up to Albany soon and Chris I will see you next month on your CO hesdliner!

Paralysis Patrons of the Dark is one of the best underground death metal records, the remaster makes it sound so much better, respect honestly for Suicide Silence for bringing that up, I only could have dreamed to have brought that up.
About WAV format, and other audio formats: WAV is a lossless type of audio file, that was created partly by Microsoft. Lossless meaning that the audio isn't compressed. MP3 files are compressed, and with some music, you lose some of the lesser heard parts of a song because of such compression. WAV is a larger file size, sometimes even in comparison to other lossless file types, but that depends on who created the file to begin with. FLAC is also a lossless file type, but it stands out from WAV in that it is royalty free, open format/open source, unlike the others. I don't remember the figures exactly, but if you released a product in MP3 format, you'd have to pay for a license to use that audio format after the product reached so much money ($25,000?) in revenue. In short: WAV and FLAC are not compressed, so you hear everything. It's a lot more crisp. MP3 is compressed.
7:50 EXACTLY what I deal with!!! I don"t dress like the metal cliche, but I play metal full on. I get flak for wearing my elegant satin blouses, high heels and skirts because I feel comfortable in, but folks tend to shun me for not falling into their box. It's so sad actually.... Metal is in your ❤
Must be young people. Once you pass your mid-20s, I don't think anyone remotely cares about that stuff. Sure, it's cool when your favorite band look like a bunch of badasses, but there are great bands out there that look totally unsuspecting. Wear whatever the hell you want. The clothes don't play the music.
Great interview, I've been following this band for a long time. If its not your speed on record, make sure to give them a shot live. Always such a monstrous sound, definitely one of my fav bands to see live. I've seen them at multiple "notoriously shit for sound" type of venues in Toronto. And I've always left with "how did they sound so fucking good at that place."
I love Stoner and NOLA Sludge, my project right now isn't really metal, but I'm trying to combine our Stoner, Grunge, 70's rock influences with the sound of those NOLA bands, they are a huge inspiration
I remember talking to Steve on the Drowning Pool message boards, on the Drowning Pool website before they blew up. I even give him a "congrats" in person later that summer at Ozzfest. Yah, it did happen like that. They went from constantly trying to promote themselves, and just building a "website" to exploding once "Bodies" started getting airplay.
Great Podcast and Interview, Goatwhore Rules, saw them several years back in my area, and at the old local Dive bar not to far from where i live, had some drinks with them Cool dudes.
The Crash Worship shows/stories sounds just like this band called Idiot Flesh that I saw at Emo's in Houston back in the late 90's. Awesome experience and had no idea about the band, or that they were even playing that night. Like Ben said, creating memories/history unknowingly as we grow.
Great podcast. I just found it the other day. I wish the questions would be more directed at everyone vs getting directed at 1 or 2 members as it seems to always be.
Glad i got to see these again with Vitriol, great band. Bad areas Milwaukee Eagles Ballroom, great venue terrible area outside of the immediate area, had a few problems with the hood there going to shows, sad the hood cant be more metal.
