Вставка
- Опубліковано 12 тра 2024
- Colin and Bo chat with Spencer Hazard, guitar player and founder of Full of Hell.
15 years and 31 records in, Spencer shares his and the band's story about how a small town Maryland band grinded (no pun intended) to the top of their field in extreme music.
An amazing insight into carving your own path in music, making art your own way and the belief in your own success.
Coagulated Bliss is out April 26th on Closed Casket Activities and Full of Hell is on tour RIGHT NOW!

Full of lore
Lore of Hell
This band has been grinding for 15+ years. Love to see their success.
That Full of hell/nothing split is one of the coolest things ever created.
the opening riff is the most diabolical thing i have ever heard
They really are the best at creative splits right now. The one with Primitive Man also slaps
the transition from the brutal first song to the second more shoegazy song gave me whiplash in the best way
Ya'll, if you could do episodes with Steve from 200 Stab Wounds, Chad & Sam from Frozen Soul, and Todd from Nails, that would be incredible.
This
Wouldn’t be surprised if we get a Todd Jones episode around the release of their new album or EP
All great picks.
Count your blessings regarding Todd
@@cloverfield23666 for new music or for an interview? He’s already stated that new Nails is coming, but yeah he may be a little reserved for the Hardlore format haha. I just know he has ties to the Young family obviously
“i gotta try percs dude”
- Collin Young
Some personal hardlore here. I was surprised when Spencer said he’s located in Berlin, MD.
I was traveling up and down the eastern shore of VA,MD,DE and stopping nearby and out of curiosity wanted to see if they were record stores around. So I googled it and found soundstorm records. I ended up finding some rare Melvins vinyl and a noise LP by sore dream. Totally unexpected finds in a small random town on the eastern shore.. but now it makes sense.
Shout out
The hidden gem of MD. DC metro area is so overrated.
Full of Hell with Mike Patton collab please.
Fuck yes
@@bottlemanic full of fantomas collab
Weekend Nachos cover of In the Garage goes criminally hard. Almost as hard as this episode (and my lore rn)
Found FOH from their split with Code Orange. Both bands still finding their groove at that point but damn it had some banger riffs
Full Of Hell puts the “grind” in grindcore. I have so much respect and admiration for this band.
Been waiting for a full of hell episode for a hot minute
Seeing this band live permanently changed me, love them forever.
Spencer summed up me as a guitarist perfectly. Never really learned how to play or cover songs. Learned a few chords and just started writing all original music from there. Wrote alot. Some stuff recorded with old hardcore band. I wish i could find band mates to start a new band before I'm too old. I write heavy stuff. Also play drums.
yesssss my favorite band, thank y'all for listening to your fans
roots of the earth and rudiments of mutilation changed my whole world of hardcore and the landscape in the midwest for quite awhile. It was awesome, really loved that stuff.
Found a copy of Roots on vinyl. Thing stayyyyed spinning...until Coagulated Bliss came in the mail today 😏
The West Coast Hardcore Vs. East Coast Hardcore comp was a game changer for me.
One of the best death metal/grind bands of our generation
The philosophy of not being technically proficient or knowledgeable enough to write one way so needing to make your own thing is the most underrated and important aspect of this genre of music IMO.
Speaking of the 8 split club (28 split club?), when is the Patrick Kindlon SDF/End of a Year full episode?
Incredible pick with The Endless Blockade. Their split with Bastard Noise also rips.
big ups to grinders with construction site names like spencer hazard and john caution, shits unironically tight af
I’m so glad that someone else thought of this too lmao
Would love to see you lads get one of the guys from Cannibal Corpse on - especially George. The guy’s BIG into hardcore, and considering how hardcore-tinged his JASTA-PRODUCED solo album was, I think it would be a delight. ⛓️
Completely forgot I saw the FOH/HW gig in Tulsa in ‘15. Sax was soooooo sick and legit made my head spin from the noise.
🔥🤛 Spencer Creativity is Hard
nicest coolest dude. love the pod. thanks for everything yall
FOH is one of my favorite bands I hope you guys do more stuff with the them !
trumpeting ecstasy era really felt like a big moment in the past decade for underground heavy music. still 'the' full of hell album for me. saw them on a sick tour with outer heaven back then when those dudes put out their debut lp.
disma album is sick for sure but i dont wanna give too much credit to a sketchy dude i feel like undergang and dead congregation are the bands that really brought back 90s death metal style
🤘🏽Always good stuff from hardlore.. 🤘🏽
For someone who seems to hate riffs (Spencer) 😆 I always go back to certain FOH tracks because of the riff
Discordance Axis I could feel coming aha
I was thinking Agathocles
Also Human Remains and Cephalic Carnage.
When Crawling Back To God dropped, my instant thought was the Morbid Angel callback. Trey's riffs are truly special. Full Of Hell kicks ass.
filled to heck
Harvey Milk shirt rocks!
Can confirm, most noise artists do have hours and hours of noise ready to go at any moment 😂
DAAAAWWWWG!!!! I JUST LOST MY MIND ON THAT ENDLESS BLOCKADE PICK! THAT’S A LETTERMOSHD FOR ME TOO! TORONTO HC INDA FUCKIN’ BUILDING AH! AH! AH! AH! BIG UP ANDREW NOLAN, BLEEDING OUT, AND INTENSIVE CARE!
I remember in 5th grade right as my buddy’s older brother was getting into punk and hardcore and early metalcore I had a warped tour comp cd that had AM/PM from American Nightmareon it. Had to be 2001. The only track I listened to other than glassjaw on it.
shocked Bo didn't know Discordance Axis or Endless Blockade.
Not me. He doesn't seem to know much about underground music especially the gawd damn lovely genre of grindcore
Full interview with nicky would be crazy
it's hardlore time
🐐🐐🐐 good shit
Spencer doesn't have that typical Southern accent that the Eastern Shore has but he elongates his Os. Watch the overshoppe clip from 30 rock to see what I'm talking about.
Y'all should've asked him if he liked Natty Bohs and to pronounce downy ohshun.
Pulmonary Fibrosis has 91 splits
im seeing tthese guys tomorrow night
Oh my god thats so funny. In regards to the youtube video question my first thought was the go bwehhh video too. Felt so steangely vindicating haha
Full of hell ❤
great episode. cant wait for the dying fetus show with these guys in pontiac in may. line up is insane.
Finally
Full of hell is one of the greats
Sore Dream tour please
I think the doc bo is referring to was the April fools AI image of netflix doing a hellfest doc
#onlychildclub
There stuff with the body is top tier
UNDEATH 🔥
Crazy live band
One of the tightest live bands I’ve ever seen
S/O Spencer
Fuckin hardlore time
Cold Steel!
Shout out to the eastern shore of Maryland. Home with an essentially non existence hardcore scene except these guys lol
One of the most redneck areas in MD besides Western MD and maybe Southern MD. A bigger hc scene might flourish if gentrification happens.
39:15 Hardlore x MOA episode 🙏🏻
I'm in the vast majority on this topic but, we need more Hardlore/Wrestling collabs. ProWrestlingTees store maybe? Just sayin'
Trey from Morbid Angel big pick
"Daily regime" is a great term lol
Let's get some POC in dis bih.
Who up fulling they hell rn?
814 hardcore mentioned
Joe Bonermaster's guitar tech has plenty of ED pills on hand, it's just part of caring for a bloos dad
She full on my hell till choir's weeping
Harding my lore rn
My lore isn't as hard as last week but still hard
Hope yall get any of the dudes from lorna shore
Will’s energy in particular would be perfect for Hardlore. But I agree any member would be great. Insane talents
I doubt they’d get a teenie metalcore/deathcore band on. Who knows.
With what Israel is doing to the Palestinians I think Disma got it right
who up harding they lore rn?
annoying
@@DigitalBath306kick rocks!
@@YaYa-ky3kc you’ve never committed to a bit in your life
@@YaYa-ky3kc You just wish you were Andy "fucking legend" Tuck. No big deal.
@@DigitalBath306you’ve commented “first” on a HL video get a life bozo
Why does fool look like rugrat from wolf of Wall street tho????
Cool story: saw full of hell in Philly at tihc 2016 play to a sold out venue, then a couple months later at my shitty local bar to about 30 people. They went just as fucking hard. Sick to see them in such a small setting after seeing them at tihc. Very much preferred that show. Definition of a diy band.
Who up harding they lore rn
