This is what I love about this Pod, an honest, genuine conversation between musicians in a genres they helped build and push furhter. No hype, no fu*king click bait, no fakeness like most pods out there. Keep it up Garza and team!
Love this Garza. You approached this as a sincere and curious person/musician who appreciates Death Metal. The fact that Lord Ahriman and other heavy hitters beyond Deathcore have come on your channel speaks volumes. You all respect each other as musicians and don't GAF what others think. Keep up the great work I know that this is pushing genres and subgenres forward.
I listen Dark Funeral since the late 90’ as I discovered In the Sign album. As time passed Dark Funeral refined so much and the last album We are the Apocalypse is so good!
@@dreamplace7469 if you talk about metal subgenres in the nineties like in this case, some things are unavoidable to know in advance. Basic stuff like this, for example. It gives how deep is the knowledge in the interview. That, in fact, is really boring and blend. He didn't even mention David Parland in the questions, just to give you a small example. You don't have the slightest idea of what that means, as your comment and answer testify.
@@dreamplace7469 No, I am in the right place since I listen to Dark Funeral. I am prepared about what the artist talks about. Simply you have different criteria to declare what is a good podcast, as you mentioned. It's that 'best' that is wrong, in my opinion, and I explained why. You didn't.
What a sincere intereview, this is one thing that I like so much on this channel, all Interviews are very sincere, the conversation are always very clear and straight. Keep going 💥🔥🤘💪🏼 ❤
I've never actually listened to your band Chris, but I think I need to. I'm aware of your impact on music and have a huge respect for that. You're a very likable person. Dark Funeral are bm legends, so it was great that you did this interview. All music is worth my attention. Respect from Texas
When we toured with Raised Fist, I found out Dark Funeral drummer was playin for Raised Fist... blew my mind, rest of the tour was just watching him smash the kit. crazy tour
Wow this guy is so amazing I love how he speaks to us through his deep thoughts he sounds so amazing and mellow I can't wait to see him with dark funeral in concert such a great musician
I heard Dark Funeral first on Feuersturm WW1 CD compilation. I was blown away with the sound of minor wind sounds and Power. Beautiful grim landscapes telling a story.
If you didn't know already, the black metal scene in the 80's-90's was very intense with their beliefs, image, music, and that competition created tension and violence in an already oppresive tension filled country.
@ it doesn’t tho, a lot of black metal is just sifting thru noise. Thaniphxath or however you spell it I like, the keys to the astral gate and mystic doors II is also an album I’ve found that’s pretty damn good. Black metal really is something that’s only for black metal fans and it sounds obvious but it’s not if you’re a lover of heavy music. I love all forms of heft from deathcore, to deathmetal, slam, fuckin grind all of it. However when it comes to black metal it stands in its own world and it’s a love or hate thing for sure
@@baulzzzzzzz2278 that's the same for me. I've tried year over year. Probably near 10 years at this point. But I can't seem to get into black metal. I have a buddy who lives and breathes it. @ bruh….that IS black metal 😂😂 no hate obviously lol I love what the genre has done for metal, but, don’t be pretentious yes deathcore can be a little run of the mill, but bro black metal ALL sounds the same 😂😂 they themselves do that purposefully because there’s a “way” to make black metal. There’s a serious elitism in the genre for no good reason, other than, black metal artists over the years have made it painfully obvious they view the type of metal they make is leaps and bounds better because of its low production quality and raw nature. Let’s no split hairs there are good and bad to both genres however the idea that deathcore is regurgitated noise is hilarious, because if that’s the case all black metal just sounds like listening to metal thru a Tin can 😂😂
idk why bringing up lorna shore to him was so funny to me haha. anyways i don’t know who wore corpse paint first, but there’s a sick video of arthur brown playing “fire” (actual dope song) here on youtube from the 70s or somewhere around then. seemed pretty cutting edge back then
Lorna Shore... just checked them out and it sounds like one of those modern "product" bands someone invented to appeal to a certain audience to make money (rather than being passionate about something and going with the flow). I don't connect to that at all, feels so empty. If I want something soulless I stick with traditional Black Metal.

Keep bringing this kind of program very informative and I love how he ahriman speaks he's very amazing he rips on journalist that's great he's fn great
Didn't expect to see Dark Funeral on here. Look forward to seeing more Black Metal bands featuring on this channel.

Garza carries the conversation well. I know there's a difficulty in speaking long form consistently when English isn't the others first language.
