Great info, well covered and a fair and honest review of the pros and cons. Excellent job of tearing down and showing all the ergos and nice camera work by the mrs. Maybe the frames and complete kits will come down in price and be available by now.
That's the one thing I love about my Sig P320 45. The removable chassis for fast and thorough cleaning and lubrication. And the fact that it has less felt recoil than my Springfield Armory xds9mm subcompact.
Excellent review on the 320. Thanks for the time you put in on this.
+MrZonacat1 No problem. ..Thanks for watching!
there are so many videos on the p320, yours is one of the best, subscribed!
Thank you for doing such an in depth review. I'm looking at this or the S&W M&P to replace/upgrade from my TP9. I shot someone else's P320 compact at my range and enjoyed shooting it. I never even considered it an option before I shot it.
Thanks for the vids !!! Based on your reviews I have purchased the Walther PPS and Sig P320. Outstanding handguns and your reviews are spot on ! Please keep them coming. Very informative !
The discoloring of your grip is your dead skin coming off your hand when firing the pistol . To remove it use rubbing alcohol and tooth brush, wet the brush and scrub the dead skin out of the texturing of the grip module. It comes out real easy.I noticed that yours was on the right side of the grip. mine is on the left. as I am left handed figures.
excellent evaluation. Thank you for the information.
Really enjoy your reviews. Great Channel!
Thanks for the review, answered a lot of my questions. I'm planning on picking up the subcompact for my first ever EDC when I find one for a good price.
You and your wife did an amazing job in giving a pretty unbiased, yet very informative in-depth review (and actual range shooting footage) on this particular handgun. I was that impressed...so much so that I'm really considering this, along with the VP9, as my next gun to purchase for conceal carry. I liked and subbed to your channel now. Great work and keep 'em vids coming!
+abnr1983 Wow thank you! We will be doing a lot more.
The P320 is a great line of pistols and an extremely good business decision on the part of Sig Sauer.
I bought a P320 Compact with SigLite Night Sights for personal use at my law enforcement distributor/dealer store for $495.00 and it's been great. It has since replaced my Glock 19 as my off duty daily carry.
With such a reasonable LE price, I also plan on purchasing the full size and the carry models. Really like the P320 and it's going to see several law enforcement contracts in the future for sure!
Good, honest evaluation of the Sig P320. Thanks! (Subscribed now)
This has been my summer carry gun for a year. Great review!
I loved to hear about that high bore axis being a myth. I thought I was the only one who thought that, my Glock 19 and my 320 recoil the same. I disproved the low vs high theory.
Awesome review! Just what I was looking for... Solidified my purchase decision. Thank you!
+rpbuyer Awesome man thank you
I just picked up the subcompact with siglite sights last week at Brownells for $409 shipped. I couldn't pass on that deal and am loving I pulled the trigger on that sale. I'm really liking this gun thus far. Having a heck of a time trying to find a FDE frame for it.
I bought the .357 xchange kit from my dealer who has his sig rep which cost me with tax $324.00. The cost of the gun here in Kansas for me was 556.99 + tax so it was over $600. I say all that to show you that your dealer will get it for you cheaper then you can buy it from the Sig website. In fact everything I buy from him for my sig is less then the sig website. Thank goodness, right. I like your video by the way. lol Keep on keeping on.
A 42 minute review? What you trying to out do Nutnfancy? Hell I've owned gun for less time... LOL
Haha just subscribe bro
Hegshot87 Cool
I agree, Untenfancy is a rambling man,,,lol long in the speaking but u know how his family is doing,, lol
Got mines and I love it..did a few 100 rounds and no problem and I'm from Miami FL
I agree with you on the modularity, it's kind of pointless in most places in the USA to not just pay a little extra for a second gun. What I like about it is I can have a Carry model with 17 rd mags (and their 21 rounders) for regular carry and if I need extra concealment change the chassis into a compact frame (or even possibly a subcompact frame) for the shorter grip.
Cool. You taught me something I didn't know. I want a CARRY. I like the 3.9" barrel and 17 rounds. I had planned on getting a SUB-COMPACT grip. I did not know that the medium grip comes with the rail. Very cool.
Stanton Taylor Me too. I like that you can buy the carry/compact then buy the sub compact grip module if you want to cc.
The grip texture is fine I put the Talon rubberized on both of mine . Damn they're sweet shooters
I love the capacity in that size pistol. If one can do it they all should do it. If HK made the vp9sk with 12+1 I would have it 5 minutes ago but since the Sig, M&P9c and FNS9c are the options for a subcompact with 12+1 I'm going with the Sig. Great review, thanks
Thanks for the tip on the guide rod spring placement. I guess I should have looked at the directions! heh
Nice review, very well put together. I didn't even mind watching the while thing.
+RBGJoe Haha thanks bro!
My first view of any of your videos- very impressed with your non nonsense no drama review- facts and your opinions made sense- well done.
+Neil TNK Thank you!
Great information!! Thank you!
+Michael Calderon No problem
Looks huge. I'm gonna have to check one out.
subcompact is great. throw a mag from the compact (15 rounds of 9mm) in it with the little XGrip thing and you can get your whole hand on the grip. You can carry with the 12 round mag to conceal better and then carry the 15 round mags for reload.
binkymagnus
I did the same thing with the 17rd magazines. I love the versatility of this firearm.
Nice! Probably be my next purchase!
Great video keep up the good work. thanks for taking time to explain the gun.
+Bobby Morgan No problem
725.00 PP TRANSFER Cali and I have another a 320 and all the frames, toys. Rocks! Putting on CCW.
Great detail in this review..
+Doug west Thanks
Things I liked: The review. The way you explain things. The fact you said the high bore axis myth is BS.
Things I disliked: That Cowboys hat.
+Douglas Paulson Haha fair enough. Thank you
+Hegshot87 raider nation
hating the hat! Fucking hilarious! great
high bore axis is a myth only for people who shoot "groups" at 7 yards and never did a double tap in their life.
Gungrave123 I go long and fast with an sp2022, the shittiest Sig, all the time. 5 inch plates at 20 or 50 meters regularly. You just can't handle a pistol for shit.
Just bought my first gun today. A Sig Sauer P320 Subcompact at retail price for $395 from Delaware Valley Sports Center. I had to choose from a Canik TP9SF or the Sig. The P320 Subcompact is a great option for concealed carry.
Great price! Heck I bought 2 caliber xchange kit for $400 each when these first came out so yeah you got a great gun for a really good price
@@finley614 thanks man. I actually upgraded the gun to a Compact size which is still cool.
You made me buy one! Great review!
+Bosco Sweet! Let Sig know haha
Hey! Yes, you can get .45 ACP to work. You just need to buy the .45 ACP handgun first and then use its trigger group. I know, because I’ve done it.
Hegshot87 very insightful video, thanks for your thorough explanation and tips.....
No problem. Thanks for watching
I'm getting the P320 compact and the sub compact. Good guns to add to my collection.
Great video as usual. Interesting about the polymer, and I'm glad you didn't censor your opinion. Sig needs to know these things.
+Myanameis Beestingz Thank you! That's what we do lol
I just put my compact on a sub compact grip module and yes it has a rail. Lol
Sometimes Sig sends what they want when it comes to the grip module. I've been there done that. Sometimes you can find them on CDNN Sports really inexpensive.
Buying the RX upgrade is worth the cost considering the RX costs over 800 dollars. Another option for grips is getting a carry grip, same size as the compact only has a longer magwell.
Thanks for pointing out the poor quality of polymer material. Sig take note!
You did a great job on your video it was worth watching all of it
+Les0945 Thanks!
Great gun! Very accurate pistol! No issues after 300 rounds so far. I just had the Medium OD Green subcompact grip with a rail delivered to me a few days ago. It Looks great. The medium grip works perfect for me. It originally came with the small grip. Found Siglite nights sights for it on eBay for $42 and had them installed for $20.
Nice! Where'd you get the medium grip module?
I called Sig Sauer and asked them for it. I saw another you tuber that ordered his P320 with the sub rail and night sights.
The UA-camrs name is The Ronin Chronicles. The grip cost me $46 and was delivered in 5 days. To Georgia.
hey good video it good to see another sig lover other than my self i have the p250 subcompact & i love it keep up the good work
+presrob4514 Thanks man. Yeah I'm a big fan of the 320 series.
Nice job!
Great review brotha! by the way I completely agree $400 price for X-change kit is tooo much.
Yeah definitely! Bought 2 of them one in 9mm sc and another in 40 caliber sc. Wife wasn’t too happy about me shelling out $800+ on the xcaliber exchanges but i to had have em 😁
Awesome review.
Thanks 🖒
You just made me a believer! Definitely considering this for my first gun purchase. Thanks.
+jsum2012 No problem man
+jsum2012 I would suggest go with the Compact and then maybe buy a subcompact frame and a couple of mags for carry. Best of both worlds
I like the shoulder rig.
I think I just figured out why the guide rod has to be like that. The geek I am, I was looking for new gun patents and I saw a couple of them filed in 2015 as other companies seemed to have figured this out. To mitigate recoil, Sig lowered the recoil spring connection point. These patents take it one step further lowering the entire spring, and the reason stated specifically state that the sole purpose is to reduce recoil. In fact, the newer designs have obviously been inspired by Sig who figured out how to have a higher bore axis than a ppq with less recoil just because of this vertical link in the recoil spring. In other words, when you have to install the recoil spring, it has that vertical shape to it because when the that piece locks up inside, and the gun is fired, it transfers the energy to a lower portion of the gun than if it contacted higher up. The distance is about the same as what you might think would be a high bore axis. The new designs in the patents I read take the recoil spring down very low in front of the trigger guard. No guns have been produced this way, but imagine instead of a light, you have this big honking section of frame where a recoil spring will ride lower and be more separate from, or farther from, the barrel.
Great review man. Very in depth. I just acquired my conceal and carry and am doing research for purchasing my first pistol for conceal/carry/home protection, and the P320 is at the top of my list. Thank you for the review!
I'm curious, what did you end up buying?
+Adam Reichl
I ended up with the Sig P320 carry which I put an FDE subcompact grip frame on for EDC. I'm loving it so far!
+Tony Mollert That's awesome! Glad you like it and thanks for letting me know. I am truly interested in the P320 or the P227 Tactical or the P226 Legion and I can't decide for my next EDC. The modularity of the 320 is just epic. So many choices!
Found the P320 compact a little too big for me to carry concealed in uniform while on Army National Guard duty. So, got the sub compact kit and will just switch the FCG into it once a month. Too easy!
Also, I agree fully on the bore axis nonsense. people look at the P320 and say it is too high and will have a lot of flip. Not true at all. My P320 compact shoots softer and flatter than many of my 9mm full size handguns.
great gun. i have the compact .40 model. I gotta say out of every handgun I've fired, it has the most comfortable stock grip of any. Thinking of getting the subcompact I like it so much. Just a little worried about the size being to big for concealment. I'll do anything in my power to stay away from glock though...Subscribed and thanks for the review!
Thanks for subbing. It's all about the gun belt and holster you use which really aids in making a relatively bigger gun comfortable. At least that's what I have to come to find out. I will carry this gun more when Tulster comes out with a holster for the subcompact but they do have one for the compact. Check them out here if you want to. Thanks again

I just bought the desert tan medium frame for my 320 subcompact. I like it much better than the small frame it came with from the factory. The medium fits my average size hands better, gives me more to grab onto and the accessory rail on the front is a plus. Overall I like the gun but the negatives I have found so far is the gun is heavy and the grip is long for a CC gun. Its almost the size and weight as a Glock G19. I planned on replacing my beloved G26 with the P320 but after shooting the P320 that's not going to happen. As others have said the caliber conversion price is crazy. I looked at the 9mm full size conversion kit when I bought my subcompact and it was only $80 less than buying another gun. Maybe Sig did that intentionally to sell you another gun and get and extra $80 out of the customer.
just get it this morning and already have shot 200 round without a problem greatest Striker fire single action semi automatic made at least the US military think so and so do I
I agree great gun and excellent review!
Have you had the new trigger installed? If so, how do you like it? I bought mine used and the revised trigger was already installed and instantly fell in love with it.
Put my carry slide(3.9 carry/compact) on a medium odg subcompact module I bought new $19.95+s&h. Looks tight.
Barrel is .3 longer then the sc. 😜
does it fit well? it doesn't look goofy?
Thanks for the great review & information. It was informative & great to know. I recently purchased a P 320 Compact & absolutely love the weapon & prefer this weapon to the Glock 23 with a conversion barrel to 9 mm I also have. I think the Sig is a smoother shooting gun & handles & grips better in my opinion. Keep the videos coming.
DTH
+Donald Hudson Thanks man. The P320 is awesome
I have the Compact Medium. I have a problem with it imprinting with the an IWB holster. Gonna try the sub compact grip frame to see how that works out.
I like your compact pistol reviews. Very practical. I've been watching a lot lately because I'm looking for something a little smaller than my PPQ. But I fear I am a Walther snob now. :)
+Eric J Thanks man. Hey check out the Pps M2 we just reviewed. Its pretty awesome
Yeah, I liked that review. But I am biased. HA!
Sig P320 just won the contract to be the Army's new service pistol.
I'm not buying that being in the Army that's not what I want to carry as my personal weapon just doesn't make any sense at all
Thanks for the review.... I like this gun but the cons out way the pros for me... I will stick to my SD's and i like that Smith & Wesson shield.
+John “TMONEY” Furious Sweet man thanks for watching!
I really like the fiber optic front sight on the Springfield XD MOD 2. Much easier and quicker to aquire.
Too bad nobody makes an aftermarket one for this pistol.
seattwa Trijicon makes their HD sights for Sig pistols, as far as fighting pistol irons go I hear those are about as good as it gets.
Good review. Once the trigger is broken in, I'd also put the FNS 9 and 9c in a similar category as the P320, PPQ, and VP9/40. It is head and shoulders above my Glocks and M&Ps in my opinion.
+Brian Mumford Yeah the Fns would definitely be in that category.
That holster was huge and really too much for such a pistol !! You'd have to wear a jacket for that rig !!! Concealed carry means very hard to see and that thing is like wearing a small pickup truck !!!
Like the idea of strikter fired, but honestly I like both 320 and 250 about equally, since the 250 is a great gun as is. The main advantage of the 320 I see more important than the trigger pull, is how much easier it is to take FC in and out vs the 250, on the p250 the the hammer has to be held back, and if you don't rotate the FC in properly there's a chance of snapping off small tabs at the rear of the frame. Its not a major deal, but the p250 takes extra care getting the FC in and out of the frame. Love the FC being a single unit. The Beretta nano has removable FC, but many of the parts are loose when removed, so at least on either p250 or 320, the FC comes out and is held together, you don't have to worry about losing small parts
I really don't know what to think about this..on one hand it is cool to change out the lowers which are priced cheap but then there's $400 for the caliber kit which like u said, for $80 more you can just buy the whole gun..
MKes easy cleaning since while trigger comes out easily don't need another caliber
As per local gun shop dealer they are not going to get exchange kits because they are not going to make any money on them because Sig had to bump up the price because they realized they were not going to make any money on them.
Just bought a glock 43 for my wife due to reliability and wanted something that would boom if she ever had to use it and she loves it. Never been a glock fan but when I tried the 43 I was very pleased and glad that I got it for her. I have a sig p320 subcompact and I'm looking to trade it in to get something more concealable like the pps m2 or the kimber micro 9. What is your opinion on the 2 guns? I notice there is a lot of hype on the micro 9 but not any good videos on it. Wanted to know if you had any plans on doing a review on it since your videos are so helpful thanks.
*P320 SubCompact GRIP MODULES, should go back with pistol(s) and XChange kit(s), for the Voluntary Upgrade- I confirmed with Sig that they're reshaping the beavertails on any SUBCOMPACT Grip Modules they receive with pistols/XChange kits. It doesn't change the way the upgraded parts interact- and is optional according to Sig.*
Strictly a cc gun at very close range. I would practice shooting no more than 15 feet, very rapidly because that is how you would be shooting in a real defense situation, and not taking your time the way you are. Nice looking little gun! Home defense gun can have all the bells and whistles as needed.
my recommendation from someone who has had this pistol for a while is NOT to buy originally the subcompact model. you lose some modularity options that way. buy the compact or carry model (same slide and barrell length). that lets you use the carry, compact, AND subcompact frames. the slide hangs over the front slightly on the subcompact frame but it still looks and operates fine.
+Matthew Milliken That is a good point. You will have a slightly longer barrel and slide and a little more weight but not much. I had the compact for awhile and plan to get another. I wanted the dedicated subcompact but you can almost get the same thing if you buy the the subcompact frame and magazine.
Thanks Matthew. I'm now getting interested in the P320 now that the kinks have mostly been worked out and I was deciding between sub and compact version. I don't mind a bit longer of a barrel for SC... it's always the frame and grip length that is the issue carrying. I got the 4 inch XDS because of that reason back in the day. now that they're coming down to $400-$430 I very well may grab one
In 2020 the military went to the SigSauer P320. With the thump safety. Yes the military looked at Glock ask Glock for a thump safety of course they said no.
So the SigSauer P320 is now the US Military side arm and it’s M17 and M18 I think 🤔 I know one of them is the M17.
I really like this gun man. I just sold my 226, looking at this gun or the m&p 40c to replace the sig p226. Great job on the video.
+OzarkW1 Thanks man. I've owned the M&P 9c anf I can tell you the Sig is a better gun IMO
Nice gun
I love the P320, but I just hate plastics! maybe I can live with it!
Did anyone else notice the bullet holes in the divider at 0:20 what the hell im not shooting at that range
I have sp 2022 thank I got it in 2010 2011 it has the polymer and I haven't never noticed it scratching like that it looks fairly good and I tried the little scratch test you just did and it didn't do it maybe they switched to a different kind a polymer definitely something you should email them about.
subbed...great review
+JOHN Bortel II Thank you :)
I got the chance to fire the compact version a couple months ago.. Great striker fired gun.. only issue with me is the placement of the slide lock.. needed to be placed further forward for my high thumbs grip.. Regardless, awesome pistol.. And great Review Bro, minus the Nutnfancy length...lol
+PistolWhip Haha Thanks Man!
Nice gun nice..heg is that your new shoulder holster? looks dam good bro, it also looked comfortable..
+john bouley Yeah man I love it. I bought it from a place online called Holsterama. Thanks bro
Looks like a great Sig clone of an M&P 9c. We already know the quality is great. How does it compare to an Apexed 9 or Shield in terms of total take up and reset as well as weight of trigger pull? The polymer is or is not an issue?
Looks like a Springfield XD subcompact. same specs also. boy shes purdy,,,,
I love the idea of Sig's new line, but I'm with you - how can they not have all the interchangeable parts ready to ship? Don't apologize for the long vid, either - everyone else does it! Nice job.
+AccidentalGunsmith Thanks man!
The white you talk about on the grip is dead skin from your hand. I have 2 compact 320's one in 9mmfde and a black 320c in 357 sig which is my everyday carry gun
BTW I just subscribed. keep it coming with the vids
+Michael Pabico Thanks
Congrats brother, enjoy it.Gonna order that FDE as well, looks sweet.
+CWB1863 Thanks bro! I love it man
You should look into the PPS bro, Buds gun shop has them at ridiculously low prices. They normally run over $500...you can get 'em for around $380 new.Picked one up last month and i love it.I think they're just trying to sell off their stock.Just a heads up.
+CWB1863 What??? Dude thanks I will check them out. One of my viewers they dropped in price earlier today. I didn't think it was that much.
Yeah, that's why i jumped on it.I had to call Buds to make sure it was legit and it wasn't used(not that it would've mattered).I think i mentioned before i bought the P320sc it was a toss up between the two.Obviously decided on the Sig, but when i saw that price, i had to get it.Damn compulsions!! :)
+CWB1863 Yeah it looks like everyone has dropped their price on them. That's almost priced as well as the Shield now. Maybe something new in the works?
Can you review the glock 36, it's a great gun for edc
There are 15rd compact grips for the carry slide
saving up bro..might be my next carry...Thanks so much for your post...I just don't know about caliber, 9mm, 40, 357...damn so many choices
Yeah man they are nice. I like the 9 man
For me the 9mm is a no brainer. Most of the PD's in my area have changed over from the .40cal to the 9mm (notably St. Paul PD) and the latest FBI report showing the 9mm is equal in stopping power to the .40 with overall better follow up shots and accuracy.
Shawn Robeck
Thank you for posting
Gotta stick with the Glock 26. I like the FDE frame though. The 320 is a good looking gun for sure.
I've taken mine to the range twice since picking it up a week ago. Experienced a few light primer strikes. Anyone else have this problem and is there an easy fix? I want to trust and carry this pistol because it's the perfect size with 12 rounds in the mag.
I own a P320 Compact 9mm. I love it. Buying gear for it as we speak, but...I'm not retiring my 30 year vetted and field proven Glocks for all the Johnny Come Latelys. After hyping the P320's modularity, Sig is really hurting themselves with the $400 X-Change kits, cheap looking polymer, lack of available frames, and $40 mags. The road to hell is paved with good intentions, I suppose, but I still like the P320 and Sig Sauer.
I am debating with myself whether I should buy the P320 Subcompact or Springfield Armory XD-9/XD(m) Mod.2 in 9mm. This is a very tough decision, as this would be my last handgun purchase so I'd not want to make a regrettable mistake.
its nice you had the shield incorporated into this review. do they shoot very similar? Are the size about the same? and is the feel about the same. i love my shield, love how thin it is. just wondering if they are similar.
Two different animals. The Shield is easier to carry but the P320 is more enjoyable and a little easier to shoot well
Those slide rails on the trigger module look pretty small. Would that be an area of concern?
