    Hi Garry, it's crazy to think that those tiny bearings makes the car roll and move. I remember as a kid changing my skateboard bearings and what a big difference it made. You actually had the bearing around your finger , and the car moves on it, lol.

    Hi Gary thanks for the great video. Is there any torque specifications for the lock nut ? ,, I tried this before and bearings didn't last very long as I was told they were over tightened

    • @vehiclemaintenanceandrepai3790
      @vehiclemaintenanceandrepai3790  9 місяців тому

      This is what I normally do
      Turn the nut against the washer, torque 35nm, loosen the nut completely, then turn against the washer, torque 15nm, and lock the nut with a chisel.

    Hi Dean here just want to know i have ford bantam 1998 b6 type i saw that i have a marking on my distrubetor and there is a marking on my head should these two markings be in line with each other because i am getting a pingin from my engine everytime i accelerate regards Dean

    • @vehiclemaintenanceandrepai3790
      @vehiclemaintenanceandrepai3790  Рік тому

      Usually, these markings are made by someone working on the car for reference timing especially when the distributor or related components are removed or replaced and are not usually made in the factory, if your vehicle is making a pinging sound it may be that the timing is over advanced, try retarding the timing slightly and see the results.

    Hi, those with ears will listen...😅 Dear sir van you give some advice about carburetor bursting a puff of smoke and refusing to start😢

    • @vehiclemaintenanceandrepai3790
      @vehiclemaintenanceandrepai3790  6 місяців тому

      It sounds like it may be flooding (getting too much fuel) therefore non starting because it is fouling up the plugs, remove the plugs, if wet then this is the case.
      You need to either replace the needle and seat or re-adjust the float level.

      @@vehiclemaintenanceandrepai3790 thanx a lot , Oom Gary first step then the next. Maybe these processes will help solve this accelaration hesitation too🥺

      Hi Mr.G , I'm looking at the float and needle seat. How should it be positioned?🤷

    • @MazandiDumapi
      @MazandiDumapi 6 місяців тому

      Also cleaned the plugs cos they were fouled (black)

    • @vehiclemaintenanceandrepai3790
      @vehiclemaintenanceandrepai3790  6 місяців тому

      @@MazandiDumapi It should be level, not too high up against the top of the carb when you are holding it upside down, also take the float off and remove the needle to make sure there is no dirt stuck in it.
