No hammer needed. Get a piece of large threaded rod 3/4 or 20mm and nuts and sockets and odds and sods, and old outer bearing pull out and pull in the new one. Clean it well and while the bearing is in the freezer, get every thing ready heat up the outer housing a bit , get the cold bearing, the right way around sit it in place and use the old outer race to press on the new bearing pull it in with the nuts on the stud. Best to have the bottom nut in a vice so it stays in place and you can wind the top nut down to pull the new bearing, and see it as you pull it into place in one go. It worked for me.
I have been trying to figure out what I forgot to install on my drum when it came off and it was that ABS ring. I have watched several videos and none of them but yours showed this, so thanks a lot for that. You did a great job of showing how to replace the bearing.
I came here to read dumb comments. Good video bro. Sorry people can't see you using 2 types of hammers to do the job. I could clearly see the brass hammer on bottom to protect your bearing and the steel one for impacting. Then came the injector question in a wheel bearing video//? Priceless
Injector funtning could be seen through diag. And if the injector is completely worn ecm will throw injector codes against respective cylinder. There's no problem in repairing injector but the cost will be high and their are less service centres considering continental injectors. If you know a centre who services continental injector then its ok.
@@dailyhandsdiy my figo is 2011 model. Is it equipped with continental injectors.. recently i called bosch injector service centre calicut and they said they used to service all brand injectors. My figo is showing starting stage of injector failure. The problem is only felt when engine is at full load. What is your opinion of service all injectors or just giving that purticular injector.
Bro i found different dealers are quoting different rates for the same brand, ford asks 3k, off service shops quotes 2k and price varies in different locations too. thats why i did not gave the price. Bearing costed me rs 2150 nd labour can cost you anywhere bwtm 400 to 900.that too depending the mechanic.
No trust me it will not work like this I know first hand...this is b.s I own the exact vehicle it's not this damn easy no way!!!!! And I am mechanically proficient...go and buy yourself the drum that has the bearing in it already!!!!! A good bearing is 60 bucks by itself a new nut 15 I bought everything complete for 80 bucks !!! Don't waste your time doing it like this..learn from my mistake..trust me....
Wrong!!!!!!!!! I beat the piss out of mine after removing c clip and it did not fricking budge!!! Do yourself a favor and buy the drum with bearing already in it trust me!!!!
Worked for me. You might simply hammered without pressing. I did that and nothing happened. The method here is called push hammer....a sligh load or push is given to the bearing by another hammer below. make sure the hammer is not hardened. Now hammer the from top towards the bottom hammer. it comes out real easy. Also if you cant hammer just use a hydraulic press. I wonder why wouldn't you know abt that.

All you said, absolutely agree, but why isn't this guy supporting the drum as close to the bearing as possible ?
He's a savage at heart ! 🤣

There should be but the genuine ford one gives more mileage. There are companys like skf, fomoco, abs etc that supports ford oem quality.
