    ABOUT TODAYS VIDEO: Can Dogs Eat Bananas
    Bananas are a healthy treat for our dogs and many natural dog treats contain banana. Bananas contain a natural source of fiber, minerals such as copper, manganese and potassium plus vitamin B6, biotin and vitamin C.
    Potassium keeps your dogs bones strong with blood vessels supple and healthy while other compounds benefit a stronger immune system with regular bowel movements.
    Bananas are good for improving your dog’s bowel movement and protecting their stomach from ulcers, acid secretion and gastritis. Bananas are also low in sodium and fat, while being high in antioxidants, vitamins and minerals. This blend helps to boost your dogs immune system while giving a lift to your dog’s energy levels too.
    Bananas also benefit your dogs skin.
    The best way of giving your dog bananas is by removing the skin and cutting the fruit into bite-sized chunks. You can also mash the banana and mix into meals. It's best not to give the whole banana to your dog, due to its high sugar and potassium levels, plus the more you give, the harder it is to digest.
    For small and medium dogs feed a few small pieces each week and for large dogs, one whole banana per week is fine, divided into smaller treats or added to food. Make sure the banana is nice and ripe for better nutrient absorption and a sweeter taste dogs like.
    With this in mind here's a list of the most highly nutritional fruits, your dog will also benefit from eating:
    Apples, red, blue and purple berries, most citrus, apricots, blueberries, raspberries, peaches, nectarines, grapefruit, oranges, kiwi, pears, pineapple, cantaloupe, mango and mulberries.

    I'm here to testify that I just found this channel a few weeks ago and after doing a bit of a video binge I switched my dogs (1 has 100 health issues) to the better kibble diet that he mentioned at the end and after 2 days he's more alert than I've seen him in 4 years. Not all issues are gone but I'd say he has days of 70% improvement and others of 90% so I'd say Dan knows what he's talking about!!!!😊

      Thank you Joy ( I was just emailing you today), I appreciate your comments and super happy the diets working out for your dogs. It's great to see the health problems falling away from just a few simple diet changes.
      Talk soon, Dan.

    Hi Dan, thank you so much for your videos. Your videos have helped my senior with her severe arthritis so much. In your past videos, you suggested giving CBD for joint pain but the only CBD product I could get from my country is Medterra CBD isolate tincture 1000mg for human use (THC free). I was wondering if you think this would be safe for my 5.5lb dog. I’m thinking of giving her 1 tiny drop twice daily.

    • @DanScott1
      @DanScott1  2 роки тому +1

      You can't really over dose with CBD so your fine, you just need to find the effective dose. They are a UK company with a good rep for their products. Yes start small at 1 drop twice daily and build up from there over a week or two to 3 drops but watch for the point at which it's effective for the arthritis and that's you effective dose.
      The body does get used to it so you may need to up the dose further down the line.

    Hi Mr.Dan, isn't grapefruit toxic for dog and a big no no?

      @DanScott1  2 роки тому

      Yes most say this!
      No it's not, it's fine but most dogs don't like citrus.

    Hi Dan, does this apply to diabetic dogs as well or should all fruit be avoided?

    • @DanScott1
      @DanScott1  5 місяців тому +1

      I recommend zero carbs, fiber, fruit, sugars etc for a diabetic dog. Occasional treat only.
      Instead focus on proteins such as meats, raw green tripe, eggs, veg and some organ meat. Or there's freeze dried raw kibble like pre0made options: Bixby Rawbble Freeze Dried Raw chicken - amzn.to/3YH6GVD
      Bixby Rawble - Freeze Dried Lamb - amzn.to/3kDbUmX
      Zero vaccs too!.. and any commercial food synthetics. A fresh food diet is best.

      Thank you so much! I will avoid all fruit. My dachshund is 11 years old and just got diagnosed with diabetes and I am finding so many conflicting opinions on how to help him. Mostly I would like to stop the excessive peeing and drinking - plus save his eyes from cataracts worsening. I really love your videos 🐶🤍

    • @DanScott1
      @DanScott1  5 місяців тому +1

      @@cheriedelia Yes, it is tricky but the bottom line is a diet of great nutritional standing is absolute in my mind, so that means a fresh food diet. So quality proteins, fats and organs. NO carbs needed or wanted.
      You can feed pre-made meals like the freeze dried options: Bixby Rawbble Freeze Dried Raw chicken - amzn.to/3YH6GVD
      Bixby Rawble - Freeze Dried Lamb - amzn.to/3kDbUmX
      The above were in my top 5 freeze dried video.
      You can make your own meals from ingredients you buy in too. I prefer raw for dogs over cooked, just better nutritionally.
      I do have two diabetes videos on the channel, could be worth a watch as they mention some helpful options to.. Fresh food is also better for the eyes and adding this greens powder to the mix will also heal with tons of antioxidants in it. It's the best, I use it daily: amzn.to/3R1m3HR
      Also have a look at this blood sugar kit: Blood Sugar Harmony Kit - Value Size: shrsl.com/3uuz4 as it covers specific needs for diabetic dogs.

      Thank you again Dan! I ordered the greens you suggested and changed his diet to only protein and vegetables and already noticed a huge change! ( just in a few days ) Now he is dealing with a UTI which is apparently common with diabetes but I have watched your video on that as well and have given him Colloidal silver. You have helped me and my dog tremendously and I am so grateful I found your videos! Bless you!

      @@cheriedelia You are most welcome, I'm happy for your dog. Silver is good, but just 7 days then stop. A tsp in the drinking water and one in the food or direct once daily for 7 days.

    If I switch my dog from a kibble diet of 1 1/2 cups per day to a whole food diet (blended) how much do I feed him? 12oz?

    • @DanScott1
      @DanScott1  2 роки тому

      12oz would be for a medium energy 25lb dog roughly.

      Excellent, not too much as they are sweet but thay are good healthy treats loaded with live enzymes.
      And if you feed kibbles, I recommend you add some probiotics to strengthen digestion: amzn.to/3xqa2i0
