    Thank you so much for all the work you do to put out quality, informative videos. I know of no one else who is willing to stand up to the "Norm" and open up our eyes to alternatives that are REALLY GOOD for our little pets. I've read so many comments from people over the years who say basically the same thing about their vet visits - antibiotics that don't work long term then the cycle of returning to the vet. I truly feel society relies way to heavily on veterinarians to tell them what to do with our pets when they get unwell. I also feel I've been ripped off over the years and that those same visits have become more of a scam than a true help for animals. I've learned more watching just a few of your videos than I ever have the last 15 years of going to the vet and my little JoJo (mini yorkie) is doing so much better with the real foods I am now giving his poor little body. If I knew then what I know now I'd have started him out with a raw diet and never looked back. Again, thank you for your efforts, time and research. You'll never know just how much you're truly helping those of us who just want our little buddies to be happy and well. And as a side note, it's valuable info to retain for our own well being as well - raw foods, plenty of enzymes, probiotics, quality protein...I mean why are so many people spending so much on Dr visits???? Thanks again Dan! You ARE appreciated!

      Your absolutely spot on and this is why I do these videos. I',m happy it's making a big difference for so many pet parents like you. Takes a lot of extra work but I feel it's worth it to hear these comments.
      Thank you, I very much appreciate you too.
      Yes, people have been lead astray for profits and if you knew the deeper details of what I know, it would make you whince. And yes, that goes for people and their pets alike.
      The DR and Vet can't help you! (I teach self reliance).
      Keep learning, keep growing.
      All the best Trucy.

    • @DanScott1
      @DanScott1  8 місяців тому

      @@wendywolf810 I know, it's rediculous. Basically, to produce this kibble costs a fortune and so the costs have to be moved onto the consumer. It's because they use quality ingredience, natural additives and very high proteins 47%, very low carbohydrates at 5%, and carbs are cheaper to produce.
      The big petfood manufacturers use very cheap waste foods, 40-50% carbs, low quality proteins 19% and synthetic additives, so thay can sell much cheaper but obviously dogs suffer more health issues over time.
      You can use an ok quality cheaper option, I did a video on 5 options, then split it, say take out a third from the meal and replace with canned sardines, eggs and some part cooked and blended veggies. Also include this soil based probiotic: amzn.to/3yoURqU and some live enzymes: amzn.to/2ksvlx1 and your in a much beter place.

      Re the probiotic, it's ok, 7 strains at 5 bil. I'd call that average.

    I hope you see my comment. My 11year old shih tzu has pancreatitis. Istill feel like she is struggling with it.She is currently taking AminAvast. Is it ok for me to buy the nUSENTIA ENZYMES YOU RECOMMEND and give to her as well?...Also I give her a pumpkin powder called Native pet to help with her anal glandes. I only give her a little of that because i read somewhere that pumpkin raises certain levels in dogs with pancreatitis. Not sure if thats true or not. Anyway, hope to hear from you soon. sorry LASTLY, i feed her blue buffalo small breed (not the grain free kind). Can you please recommend a much better kibble that would really help her better? Please and thank you

      Diet For Dogs Recovering From Pancreatitis
      A bland diet may be useful while your dog is recovering from a pancreatitis episode … whether acute or chronic.
      Bone broth can be a good choice as he starts to feel better: amzn.to/3zgsN8M
      If he’s ready for solid food, give a bland diet like cooked chicken breast and white rice. If you’re only feeding it for a few weeks, you don’t need to add supplements.
      In the long run, you’ll want to go with a consistent, low-fat diet.
      Long Term Diet For Pancreatitis
      A balanced homemade diet is always the top choice, with appropriate supplementation. A raw diet is fine … but introduce (or re-introduce) it gradually. Wait until your dog’s inflammation subsides and healing is well underway.
      If you’re not up for homemade, a good quality canned food can also work. But don’t give kibble. Dry food is bad for many reasons …
      • High carbohydrate content
      • Sprayed-on fats
      • Heat processing
      • Low moisture
      • Lack of live nutrients
      Antioxidants, prebiotics and probiotics are good additions to any diet (for any dog): amzn.to/3cOgzLu
      How To Prevent Pancreatitis
      Many variables can be involved in pancreatitis … so it’s impossible to make any guarantees about prevention. But these factors are definitely within your control:
      1. Feed a healthy diet: healthydogforlife.com/feed-your-dog-better-book-by-dan-scott/
      2. Give appropriate supplements. This includes omega-3s: amzn.to/3vDdtjX
      antioxidants: amzn.to/3cOgzLu
      digestive enzymes: amzn.to/2ksvlx1
      prebiotics and probiotics: amzn.to/3pZp7oB
      3. Make sure your dog gets regular exercise and adequate rest.
      4. Maintain a healthy weight. This means closer to the lean side for most dogs.
      5. Don’t over-vaccinate. Vaccines are a major factor in autoimmune and inflammatory conditions.
      6. Pay attention to things that may signal a problem, such as changes in …
      o Appetite
      o Stool quality
      o Behavior
      o Energy level

    Do we mix all these products/vitamins/ probiotics/enzymes together and feed them all at once in your dogs food?

    • @DanScott1
      @DanScott1  2 роки тому +3

      Yes. Start small and work up to normal dose size over a few days. The 5 supplements combined would be no more than 2tsp in size per day (apart from the sardines). But what a health difference!

I had already purchased the probiotics, enzymes and the protein concentrate you had recommended in another video and started feeding with their orijen kibble and the orijen freeze dried raw dog food patties (I mix the kibble with the raw). I will purchase the canned sardines, with the freeze dried greens and the hemp oil. Again i cant thank u enough. My dogs are thriving in just a couple of weeks.

    Hi Dan; I’ve only just came across this video and I wanna get everything on your list for my dog but when I click the links it just goes straight to the amazon search page, not any specific product links. I’m late with the comment but please help I’d be so so grateful! My staffie is 3, she’s been on a raw meat diet now for almost a year but her health improves & then declines again! She’s been up and down since having her litter. I’d really love some informed direction. Thanks so much!

    If I’m feeding my dog
    kibble/goat milk/ vegetables/ cottage cheese or yogurt / fish or other protein/ coconut oil/ olive oil. Do I still need to add supplements and vitamins or are they getting enough from the food??

    • @DanScott1
      @DanScott1  Рік тому

      If the digestive system is working well, stools formed well etc then you should be ok. Your giving lots of live/fresh foods which is great and they do provide vitamins/minerals. I'd add a good greens powder for lots of antioxidants which really help: Green Immune + Super food - (GLM, phytoplankton, Microalgae and Spinach) -
      healthydogforlife.com/GreenImmuneSuperfood
      and a good mushroom complex to boost the immune system and provide maximum natural protection: Mushroom complex: amzn.to/3tpBOuK
      I take this complex and the greens.

    About the raw meat. Is the bacteria and parasites dangerous to dogs and how to treat the raw met to be raw and bacteria/ parasites free. Thanks in advance

    • @DanScott1
      @DanScott1  2 роки тому +1

      Raw meat is fine for dogs, The stomach acid of a dog is much stronger than ours and will kill all bacteria. That's why dogs are into all sorts at the park, never worries them.
      If your concerned wash in 50:50 apple cider vinegar and water.
      The raw parasite thing is 99% myth. All raw meats for dogs have very tough testing, even more that human meats!
