      So you still recommend? I've just ordered the same. Thanks for the great video, lots of tips! Did you try using over winter at all? I love the thought of sitting in a hot tub when it's cold out but the energy costs are scary

    Hi, I’m getting one this Friday.. so excited. Would you say it’s best to have a gazebo over it?

    • @MarlonKingShow
      @MarlonKingShow  Рік тому

      Awesome news, you will love it!
      If it's going to be in direct Sun and its prolonged clear skies then yes, cover is needed. A few times when I forgot to put the parasol up the material got super hot and I guess over time could stretch or weaken it so worth taking precaution if you want it to last.

    Love the video mate :) - Would you still go for the smaller unit vs a slightly larger one?

    • @MarlonKingShow
      @MarlonKingShow  Рік тому

      Thank you. Small one is best if it's just mainly one or two going in which is the case with me. 4 adults is tight, but for one offs it's all good fun. I would like a bigger one but the size difference is about 20-40cm, but my worry is its the same heat pump so bills would be alot higher. Hope that helps

    Great video, very informative - recently purchased the same one. 10 months on from this video, has the average monthly cost remained the same? I imagine you haven’t used it a lot through the past winter. 👌

    • @MarlonKingShow
      @MarlonKingShow  Рік тому

      I packed down over winter as in October costs ramped up alot. Just set it back up beginning of May. Seems may-september is probably best way to run in UK to minimise costs.

    We have the Miami. Just bought it a few weeks ago. You know the freeze shield does that work automatically? We have it switched on but that’s it. Thanks 😊

    • @MarlonKingShow
      @MarlonKingShow  7 місяців тому +1

      From my understanding, it is automatic. As long as you leave the filter going, it will auto kick it if temperature drops below 6 degrees and heat the water back up to 10 degrees.
      I permanently leave mine heating, which does cost more, but saves this risk. Though this is first winter leaving it switched on so will find out how expensive it is soon.

    Just set up my miami pool 🎉 how much should my initial chlorine dose be? Is it 20mg x 670l ?

    • @MarlonKingShow
      @MarlonKingShow  Місяць тому

      Hi, I can't remember the initial dose off top of head, but needs to be quite strong, 20mg doesn't sound like enough, I'm sure I used nearly 50-100mg to shock the water, recommend not going in it for 48 hours after. But you can use a lower dose then just keep it topped up.
      Highly recommend using the chlorine tablets for ongoing use, alot easier to maintain safe levels.
      These are the ones I use: amzn.to/3V7CfHQ

    Dear sir, is there enough space in the miami pool to stretch your legs, or is it a bit narrow to stretch out. Thank you.

    • @MarlonKingShow
      @MarlonKingShow  Рік тому +1

      Hello, I'm 6 foot and I can sit down and my feet will touch the other side but it's okay for me but my legs will be straight
      The slightly bigger ones are 20cm bigger inside so would give extra leg room if concerned, but also remember that's going to be an extra 100-200 litres of water to heat up for that luxury.

    Hi im looking at buying this mainly for my autistic son it would really help him during the summer holidays to keep him regulated. Is it noisy when having it on overnight worried about disturbing my neighbours. Thanks.

    • @MarlonKingShow
      @MarlonKingShow  Місяць тому

      Heya, there is a low level hum of the filter. The heat element doesn't make a noise as such. When bubbles are on its loud but you'll only have them in when using it. Hope that helps

  • @MarlonKingShow
    @MarlonKingShow  2 роки тому +6

    Would you buy a hot tub?

  • @MARQUITOSGUALACBA
    @MARQUITOSGUALACBA Рік тому +1

    Do you think the pump is too noisy when making bubbles?

    • @MarlonKingShow
      @MarlonKingShow  Рік тому

      It is fairly noisy, but I'm not sure whether its loud in comparison to others as I have not had any side by side to compare. In general at spad facilities the pump would be in a separate room which is not the case for these ones. Also I found after having and using it for 6 months, the amount of time the bubbles is on is minimal compared with amount of time being in the tub. So it has not bothered me, and I generally go in close to midnight

    Does the bit you sit on inflate?

    • @MarlonKingShow
      @MarlonKingShow  2 місяці тому +1

      It's not inflated, but it is padded, so it's not like sitting on concrete like a normal paddling pool. As you can see I added the extra foam mats underneath as well for extra comfort but not sure they are needed for comfort side, more for insulation.

    hi . how do i empty this thanks ?

    • @MarlonKingShow
      @MarlonKingShow  Місяць тому

      Hi, there is a plug in the bottom just like a bath, you can attach a hose pipe from the outside and guide the water to your nearest drain. Given these things hold 1000L of water it's best not to just let it spill out as could potentially water log part of your garden.

  • @andrewkitchen2723
    @andrewkitchen2723 Рік тому +1

    When you say it's padded at the base, do you mean the base is inflated with air same as the tub itself?

    • @MarlonKingShow
      @MarlonKingShow  Рік тому

      Hi Andrew, no its not air, its like a thin piece of rubber maybe thats inside the bottom so you are not sitting directly on the floor

      @@MarlonKingShow thanks for confirming this as wasn't clear on lay z spa website, I have a 10 year old lay z spa premium and was considering upgrading to a newer one, but my old one has a built in inflated base that we really like as like sitting on a cloud and a feature we want to keep....can not understand why the new ones are not the same...shame
