The reason I call myself ''Wonko the Sane'' is twofold, first I'm an unrepentant fan of ''The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy'' trilogy, I have the omnibus edition, containing all five books. Second, I look at the world, and the character, ''Wonko the Sane'', in ''So Long and Thanks for all the Fish'' is right. The world is insane, so I try to keep it locked up. Unfortunately, I'm not always successful. More recently, I've decided to lock myself out of the world, to preserve my own sanity. Not always successful there, either, but the results are more positive, more interesting and more fun. Hershey bars help. More to the point, this song, bleeds with significance, especially given the current political climate. We are living in an insane asylum, and we need to free our own minds, be our own best selves and live our own spiritual paradise. Guinness helps. Peace out. Or is it in? Ah, hell! Just, PEACE!
April is the anniversary of the death of Alice in Chains front man Layne Staley. He died of a drug overdose April 5th 2002 he was 34. We here in Seattle still grieve for him. Would be nice if you could honor his memory with some of his best performances. Anything from Live at The Moore Theater. This is when he was at his best and how he should be remembered. My personal favorite is (It Ain't Like That Anymore) from this legendary concert. They also performed, Man in the Box, Bleed the Freak, Sea of Sorrow, The Real Thing, and Love Hate Love. Remember the first time you heard that voice? RIP Layne.

One song you might enjoy is over the rainbow (song for wizard of Oz) not normally my my type of music, but his voice is beautiful. His name is Isreal "IZ" Kamakawiwo'ole. He passed away a few years ago form I'm guessing over weight cause he was at least 500 pounds. It's a shame cause his voice that of an angel. He was from Hawaii. Check him out you won't be sorry
I knew a 14 yr old girl, much more mature than i was at 18 then. She thought to run away from home. She was familiar with being in and out of a local "Cedar Springs" hospital. As she got her things together, she played this song nonstop. I didn't know Metallica, but after that experience, i would never forget them.
Not a bad song on this entire album. My personal favorite off of Puppets is "Disposable Heros" and moving forward to 1988s Justice album would be "Dyers Eve". Would love to see you get into a few of the 5 covers Metallica did with the 87 EP Garage Days Re Revisited, the $5.98 EP...maybe "Crash Course in Brain Surgery " or "The Small Hours". It was their first studio recordings with Jason after Cliffs death.
Jamal, next Metallica song I vote for is Low Man’s Lyric. You gotta check this out because it’s a whole different side of Metallica. Metallica spreads their wings in this song. It’s a deep cut. Peace!
There was wat I concidered. An epidemic of locking "troubled kids" up in mental wards 4 months on end .. N all they did was drug them so they couldn't do nutn. This was late 80S thew mid 90s
Hey Jamel, new fan to the channel and wanted to say I love your reactions! I know a Weird Al song you missed that you'll find hilarious. "Perform this way" a parody of "Born this way" by lady gaga

Man this made me instantly start crying. I plan on singing this song for my girlfriend on Christmas. I play guitar and was going to play and sing but I’d rather just sing to this. So beautifully done!
I’ve often said the same thing. Metallica gets a lot of hate, but most bands changed direction like them and were influenced by them in the eighties/nineties.
When a man lies he murders a part of the world. These are the pale deaths which men miscall their lives. All this I cannot bear to witness any longer. When will the kingdom of heaven take me home? Dyers Eve. RIP Cliff.

Thank you Metallica !!!!!!
One of the best things about Metallica is that tey arent afraidof the hard subjects. Addiction (Master of Puppets mental illness (welcome home:Sanitarium) after effects of war (One) please keep falling own this rabbit hole!
Welcome brother, greatest METALLICA song ever ! Sanitarium brother
RIP Layne.
You are a blessing to us Metal Heads. I enjoyed listening to this jam with you Brother. I realized I wasn't subscribed to you anymore and I don't know what happened? I know I was before and... whatever. Houston Always watching your channel but I'm not tech savvy. I Re- Subscribed and you gonna get likes from me cuz you are probably the best reaction channel out there. I have a huge request for you dude... Metallica- Bleeding Me. We want your take on this masterpiece!!
Dyers Eve ( And Justice for All ) ...one of my favorite Metallica songs . Basic ..raw...in you face Metallica . PK
Great choice Sir.. I've been a Metallica fan since I was 15...im 53 now..
Metallica KICKS ASS!!!
Jamel… I’m SO glad that my wife, daughter & our dog have gone out for the day so I could plug this into my stereo & get it CRANKING!!! 🔥🤘😝🔥. I’m a huge Metallica fan & being played at “way past 10” on the dial is the only way to enjoy this. You just KNOW it’s loud if neighbours start phoning in noise complaints against you from at least a block away ☝️😜
If you can physically hear the police knocking, *it ain't loud enough!!!*
😜
@@robbob5302 .. THAT’S EXACTLY RIGHT!!! They need to come through my front door with a tank if they want me to turn the music down ✋️😆🤚
I don’t always listen to Metallica, but when I do, so do my neighbors! - stolen from a Rammstein post I saw! Cheers to good music and good times
@@kevinv3082 … I’m in Australia & my neighbours ALL know when I’m home when they hear AC/DC playing through every open door & window in my house 🤟😝
Listen to "Eye of the Beholder" from the ...And Justice For All album. Powerful song, powerful lyrics.
My dads favorite song on my dads favorite UA-cam channel. Couldn’t click fast enough. Great vid Jamal!
GNR fans might recognize this during live versions of Double Talkin Jive. The band would play sections of Sanitarium during the intro
2:30am stressing the F out and I come across this video and it gave me 9 minutes of distraction from it. Thanks can't go wrong with Metallica if I had to choose the best way to die happy it would be getting beat to death by James, Lars, Kirk, and Robert. Oh and check out "Bleeding me" by Metallica.
Wow bro as long as I’ve been watching you !!! I didn’t know you haven’t heard sanitarium!!! The whole master of puppets album is a must listen !!!
Oh, man you HAVE to react to this song live in Seattle 1989. It’s a phenomenal, energy packed version
hey just wanted to share something. when I was 13 they said i was bipolar and locked me up in a hospital called mount airy in Denver. 4 months bro im 48 now and cool back in the 80s if a teenager was """"fucked up""" they would commit them and try to program them brother. IM serious this is not a joke. this song kept me alive for a very long time. I know the welcome home part because that place was my home and it will always haunt me. I make 90k a year and love life bro i was never bipolar and it took many years to recover from that place so this song is real. this NGL a thing back then! bro we survived and played METAL. this song kept me alive bro this world this place is trying to program us brother keep your thoughts free and clear. If someone can reach out please :D
Metallica is friggin amazing 😎 dude 😎 you should check ✅ out the new All new 💎 NEW female rock band who has toured with evanescence and halestorm also with slash and Myles Kennedy they have put out their first self titled album their name is Plush their lead vocalist was on the voice season 13 but check out their song Plush - better off alone video 📷 it's awesome 😎 thanks great channel My friend
Hey man. I'm a subscriber. Please. You must react to O'Keefe Music Foundation cover of 46 and 2. These kids are incredible
Peace!
This is my all time favorite song by an all time great band. It hits hard and doesn't shy away from the subject of mental illness.
There was wat I concidered. An epidemic of locking "troubled kids" up in mental wards 4 months on end .. N all they did was drug them so they couldn't do nutn. This was late 80S thew mid 90s
when ever I hear this song I think of the documentary Paradise Lost: The Child Murders at Robin Hood Hills from 1996
5 beats to the bar
Hey Jamel, new fan to the channel and wanted to say I love your reactions! I know a Weird Al song you missed that you'll find hilarious. "Perform this way" a parody of "Born this way" by lady gaga
Talking about mental help when someone is angry about people who robbed him.

Wow! Man, I love your take on music that I've loved for a long time. Even better though is your Positive Vibe. Thanks and much love.
You should also check out Limp Bizkit cover of Sanitarium at MTV Icon 2003
jamel. check out Brian Mccauley singing with Gene Simmons band. song doctor love.
popular belief this song was crafted after watching "one flew over the coo coo nest". i don't know, I was a teenager-didn't care. but you should watch the movie anyway Jack Nickelson at his best. yes
Man this made me instantly start crying. I plan on singing this song for my girlfriend on Christmas. I play guitar and was going to play and sing but I’d rather just sing to this. So beautifully done!
There is still a HUGE amount of awesome Metallica to discover, my bro! They are The Beatles of Metal. Please continue to keep them in mind.
I’ve often said the same thing. Metallica gets a lot of hate, but most bands changed direction like them and were influenced by them in the eighties/nineties.
Stankface is real with this one!! One of my all time favorites. Watching you enjoy it makes it even sweeter
Please react to O'keefe Music Foundation '8 Yr Old Girl Krushes Freak On A Leash' by Korn
When a man lies he murders a part of the world. These are the pale deaths which men miscall their lives. All this I cannot bear to witness any longer. When will the kingdom of heaven take me home? Dyers Eve. RIP Cliff.
You've done the top tier for popularity among people who like music. Among people who like Metallica, we want you to do Orion. At least the ones like me. Make sure to find the lyric video.
