It’s totally in the cards. We just won’t know until next month thru August. Definitely seems more possible now tho. I hope the film is goated, X-Men been on fire this year 🔥 and Happy Father’s Day yall!
You also need to factor in the growing popularity of deadpool since deadpool 2. Kids back then are now old enough to see the movies so that increases the number by a lot + adding in the xmen fans etc. it’s destined for success
Hey Sean massive fan of your channel I honestly think it will hit a billion it’s the only mcu film releasing this year and we are finally seeing this version of Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman together on screen!
I honestly believe that Deadpool & Wolverine will be the highest grossing movie of the year even if it sucks because there’s so much hype surrounding this movie.
people care about the movie, not whether it's rated R or not... people want to see Deadpool 3 and don't care what it's rated... and, if anything, in this unique case, the R rating is an advantage to the few who do care.
to high IMO. the problem here is clearly that the quorum has not tracked any R rated superhero movies of this size before. So they have to comp against Pg-13 ones and it gives this number. But it will be lower than that, because of the R rating. For anyone wondering what quorum is: quorum basically sorts movies into categories.(Superhero, Anaimtion, Mid budget, big bduget etc) Looks at the ranges a movie of that category can open and what the corresponding Awareness and Interest points are on average 3/6 etc weeks from release.(and comapres that to the movies current data)
New trends lately have been: franchise movie released and is fully front loaded and then 2nd weekend drops 60-70% and then people wait for streaming for a rewatch. The days of multiple movies hitting 1billion is over. 2019 had 9 billion dollar films in the top 10, those days are gone. Pre covid days this could have hit close to 2 bill, this year I think it barely hits 1bill because of hype.
I think there is a solid chance this can make a billion, but I'm still a bit doubtful because it has still only ever happened once. Even with Joker, it just about got over that billion dollar mark, it wasn't like it made 1.5 billion or more. If it lives up to the hype, then it's very likely. But the bottom could also fall out from under it if it's not as good as people want. It seems unlikely but I'm still cautiously optimistic.
I honestly don't need anymore MCU hero focussed movies. I'd rather have 5-10 years of X-Men and Fantastic Four films. There's so much content to mine from the comics which has yet to be explored.
Chat GBT says they use The industry-standard average ticket price is often used. There are also other factors such as look at similar movies or previous movies in the franchise entry, the number of theatres showing the movie, other movies releasing around that time, and more.
@@RitoRvolto we all know the MCU is dying and losing fans monthly. If a character as popular as Deadpool with 2 popular movies already combined with Wolverine can’t make 1 billion that’s got to be extremely concerning to Marvel

So much pressure on this film. If it wants to hit a billion, it needs to be rewatchable and something that a non comic book movie fan will watch. Also happy father's day Sean, hope you have a great day with the family.
If Deadpool on his own was able to make 800 mil before he was as well known as he is now, throw in Wolverine and a huge mcu crossover and I’m now leaning towards a billion dollar mark. I thought that wasn’t even possible 5 months ago but the excitement and hype for this film online has been insane (doesn’t always translate to ticket sales but I think it will this case)
I do believe that it will make a tremendous amount of money. No doubt. But if it flops and I turn out to be completely wrong, then I say I'm wrong. But I don't think that it will hit $1 billion, though. A $1 billion is a lot of freaking money 💰to make, so I really don't see it happening. No chance. But if I'm wrong on that too, then again, I say I'm wrong. I will gladly admit to being totally wrong, folks. 2024's *_Deadpool & Wolverine_* in theaters next month!
Inside Out 2 just made $150 million domestically (US and Canada) for its opening weekend and $140 million globally for its opening weekend. (aka nearly $300 million for its opening
It will make profit for a few reasons: 1) Hugh Jackman is back as Wolverine, and this time he's actually wearing the classic suit, so diehard fans will stop whining about that 2) Deadpool movies have a really good track record so far 3) The trailer actually looks good and didn't spoil anything major 4) It's the only MCU film this year 5) Reportedly it's only 2 hours long Will it save MCU though? Well, considering all the shenanigans happening with Captain America 4 and Blade, that ain't happening anytime soon.
It’s certainly possible but I think there is far too much pressure on this film. There is also a lot going against it too because we all know the current state of the MCU and the superhero genre is getting stale. Deadpool and Wolverine has to be a hit with everyone if it has any chance of reaching a billion dollars!

What? When did I say "no way" it would make a billion? I've repeatedly pointed out that only 1 R-rated movie has made a billion. Thus making a billion is a BIG deal. I've also pointed out that the previous two Deadpool films were the highest grossing R rated films of all-time prior to Joker and Oppenheimer. That's WILDLY different from claiming "No way."

Word of mouth will play a big role in getting it to the billion dollar mark. If the reception is mixed-negative then we could see some drastic drops
I doubt this movie will have any negative reception apart from softies, but no one cares about them

It’s a possibility, the hype is very big for this movie. And it’s not your typical R-Rated movie.
