We have had the older version for 3 years and loved everything about it, when the other day it just stopped working. We took it back to Curry’s with the receipt and as it carries a 5 year guarantee there was no problem in getting it replaced. We went for the shark duo as shown in this video and just paid the £30 difference in price. I feel that this model is not as ‘user friendly ‘ as the first one as there is no handle to lift it up by and the controls are not as easy to use, my thumb was sore after vacuuming for a short while, maybe it’s just me! I love the Shark vacuum and nothing of what I have said detracts from the performance of this very efficient cleaner which I would give full marks on its performance.
Margaret Foulkes thank you so much for your comment appreciate your feedback yes I have said too that it’s missing a handle like the older model I do like that you can have it constantly on instead of pressing the trigger all the time like a Dyson
I’ve just purchased. Gave up with the dyson v8 as gone wrong again. I love this shark very impressed. Ordered of website, turned up next day, automatically registered guarantee and can pay in instalments. Cheaper than the dyson, more robust. Brilliant. Highly recommend.
My shark lasted just over the 2 years then fell apart. Cleaner head had to be replaced which cost £80. Then the buttons fell off and a new hose would cost me £40. Bought a Dyson v11 absolute instead. Had nothing but trouble with the shark. Clogged too easily and suction was garbage after a couple of months.
Great video, well done! I’ve recently bought exactly the same model instead of Dyson V11 which cost double compared to Shark. I took weeks to consider and choose between these brands and for many reasons ended up with Shark. I like it so far and cannot complain.

Great video. Very informative. Have been considering this one for a while. I've also read that the antihair wrap works if you run it on both carpet and hard floor. You can actually clean most of the hair by running it on a hard floor. If you've got mostly carpets. So yes I've now ordered one. Thanks for your review. 👍

Great review, one question can you stop beater bar going round ?as i have high pile and my cordless i currently have rips the pile sometimes -which is disappointing so I'm looking for a cordless which i can turn off the beater bar on carpet
Hi Karen afraid I don’t think there is an option for this it does have the hard and soft floor settings but I believe all this does is slow the speed down on hard floor to stop the roller from spinning larger debris
Ok.thanks,i suppose i could always use the hard floor option on the one room where the carpet spring's seem to get ripped up with beater bar. Do shark have a Good customer service? As my current vaccum who's name i wont mention is terrible custermer service and I'm really thinking of switching to shark ..thanks x
I haven’t had much contact with customer service but from what I have heard they are good if spares are needed these are send out without questions sometimes full vacuum replacements too without any issues
That’s great I made this video just to hopefully help others not to gain anything or sell anything I just overall found this a better deal than any Dyson for the money and bits it did. Thank you for the comment and support
I have just bought this how would u say it fairs after 2 years then . We have a dyson but its had its day and to replace it would cost the amount of a small planet in today's market
It’s still doing well main issue for me is it gets clogged up a bit but I think that’s because the mrs picks up everything in it but after taking bits out it’s back to normal still lasting as long as it did and I’m still happy I would like a bit more power like the new Dyson but that’s 3x the price
I have the rotating power one and will be posting a video at some point on it. I don’t think it’s the best personally but just gives that extra help than not having one
Rosa sure thing not sure when I will posting yet but it’s the electric head one just doesn’t seem to get into all corners of the head because of the belts
Great video 👍 thinking of buying one of these 🤗 can you use the trigger release button on its own , or dose it have to be running first before you use the trigger/boost button ?
Thank you for your comment the vacuum has to be on the the trigger is pressed for more suction I hardly use it to be honest I just use the 2 settings on the unit slide down once for hard floor and down twice for carpet. Thank you for watching and supporting my channel take care
First of all thanks for taking the time to do this video. It has been very helpful. I bought the Shark Vacuum almost one month ago and I have been testing it out at my flat. However, I still have 2 days left to make a return and I am thinking about it because I have hardwood floors and some things are not being picked up by it. Also I found it quite heavy after 10 minutes of using it and I read in many reviews that the suction power decreased with time. My question to you is if after these 10 months of using it, are you still happy with yours? Or do you have a different opinion? Thanks in advance for your help!
Thank you so much for the feedback, I’m still really happy with mine I agree the suction isn’t as good as a Dyson but I have the use of one at the in laws the suction is better but I find the Dyson hurts my wrist and also it’s very annoying with the trigger to constantly keep on. Do me I haven’t have any issues with loss of suction and should t have any issues anyone who have had issues shark have normally being great and sent out replacements hope this kind of helps
@@decisionsdecisions8906 Thank you thank you for your reply in perfect time! I have decided I would keep mine and make the best of it, also because I am not ready to spend 500+ in a Dyson model haha. Wish you the best of luck! PS: I have watched your video for cleaning my Shark and now is looking brand new again, so thanks for that as well.
A G great glad I could help in some way I was exactly the same I wanted the £500 Dyson but for what the shark did I didn’t need it for that so all in all I was happy that reminds me I need to give mine a clean too. Take care and keep safe thank you for your support
Great review. Well put together and informative. Im in the market for a new vacuum and it's either between this or the Bosch series 6 as I am very keen on the detachable batteries. We currently have one of those Black&Decker cordless vacuums, but after 2 years we have already gone through 2 brush motors and now the battery wont last more than 20 seconds. I think the Shark is my next move. Just one question if I may. My 6 year old is very artsy and is constantly snipping up paper and card which is a nightmare to sweep on hard floors and our current vacuum really struggles with picking it up. Even if it does, it all gets clogged in the flexi-hose. How does this manage with this type of situation?
The main selling point for me was the detachable batteries too and the option to add more if needed however 1 has suited me fine. I’m going to be honest and say I haven’t tried it but the roller on this is really good at picking up items so I would think because it’s a full roller it may not have this issue but like I say I haven’t tried it might be something I have to try at some point. Thank you for the positive feedback I really appreciate it
@@decisionsdecisions8906 Thank you for the reply. Either way, I just purchased the Shark this afternoon, purely because your video was so informative and put my mind to rest (I do have a tendency to overthink stuff like this). Thank you again for your effort in this video. You have gained another sub. 👍🏻
I for one are exactly like you I never just buy because I want to I always want a good buy thats why I set up this channel to give good honest reviews I just haven’t had enough time at the moment to do more. I really hope you enjoy it be sure to let me know
Aww that’s great news as I say in my videos I don’t get anything from shark just I know what it was like not to know what to go for so thought it would help others make their own decision. It’s held up well only thing is it does get blocked from time to time think the main thing is the roller on the front that seems to do the hair cutting sometimes gets bits stuck in there but I do go a bit overboard with sucking bits up. I’m still really happy with it I borrowed the inlaws Dyson the other day I think the Dyson suction is a bit better but the overall usage and comfort is so much better on the shark I found after using the Dyson for 10 mins my hands were hurting. Thank you for watching and supporting the channel so I can do more videos
@@decisionsdecisions8906 thank you! I have had it for around about a week and a half and couldn’t be happier! Not too heavy at all and suction is more than enough, thanks again for your review!

Thank you for your comment, I’m really happy with it still no loss of suction only when it gets blocked through faculty’s of our own with kids ie food and paper. Still performing as it should
Jesus Crust that’s great glad it helped you out as I say I didn’t make this video for people to go out and buy it was more to show what it can do and what to expect
@@decisionsdecisions8906 I understand that, but it was between this and the dyson. And this review was more in depth than the Dyson one and it’s a lot better on wood floor than dyson as you showed
Your very welcome hope it helped some people. We had and still have the Henry the Hoover. But since having this we have put it in the loft this just does what we need and more we have the option to add more batteries and accessories if needed. It might not have as much suction as a Dyson but I believe overall especially on hard surfaces this is great. Thanks for watching and please subscribe. I will also be doing another review after 6 month of using too. Thank you and keep safe
Thanks for the detailed video, I'm in the process of buying a Hoover, as they are complaining that the old one is to heavy to handle... at the moment there is a deal for 350, you get extra battery and the additional pet device....my question is,,, is this worth investing in and does it work flawlessly on carpets.? I notice you mentioned the dyson having a better suction , do you have any regrets buying the shark over the Dyson? Thanks
You are very welcome glad I can help. For me the only reason why I didn’t get the pet tool and the extra battery was that I couldn’t afford this and was happy that I could if I needed get an extra battery. I would definitely recommend the extra battery not that the battery included isn’t enough it’s more the fact that after it runs out you have to wait around 3 hours for it to charge again so if you needed it during that time that’s where the extra battery would be great. I wouldn’t say that I regret anything on it especially at the moment as I said the suction isn’t as good as a Dyson this isn’t that it won’t pick up what is on the floor it’s more the finer particles that you possibly can’t see as I had seen tests before where they weighed the items before and after pick up Dyson got around 95 percent where as the shark was around 80 percent. This hasn’t caused me any issues i would say if you had a high pile carpet throughout then this hoover wouldn’t be ideal as it doesn’t glide as well than on a normal carpet or hard floor. The Dyson that I would compare would be the v10 or v11 which are around the 500/600 mark so mine was a steal at £250 with a 5 year warranty If you want to know anything else let me know
Thank you so much for your detailed replied much appreciated. It must of taken you time to construct this together , much much appreciated. Just from your reply I know your a top man thanks alot. After reading what you wrote to be honest I dont really need a 2nd battery we hover the house like once a week, the down stairs is floor boards so we maining sweep and mop ,, ,, so 30min battery life is fine as it only takes about 15 to 30min to Hoover the entire house,, like I said we mainly use the hoover upstairs and on the stairs....I dont really want to spend 350£ on a hoover I want my electric cycle and gaming pc. But the miss is on my case lol. We dont have pets either so dont need the pet extension add on ...on top of that your comparing it to dyson latest and greatest model which is super high end price... I seen that video where they compared the shark n dyson and silly figures of dyson picking 95grams of weight and the shark picking up 80grams ,, yep silly figures I'm sure they are equally as good. ..... ahhh I really wanted my gaming computer... but okay I'm sold here goes im getting the shark... thanks again....take care Mateo!!!!
ffcuk63 you are very welcome I was in the same position this is the reason why I did the video and also I did so many hours of doing research I’m not a sales person I just want people to get the right item that suites them. I don’t have a pet but I think in the future I will buy the add on pet item just to do the stairs only for my personal preference but at the moment I’m fine. I haven’t even really needed to use the boost option. I had a lot of other people saying their suction isn’t great but I haven’t experienced this I used to use a Henry the Hoover I might use this once a month for a deeper clean but I feel like the Henry has loads more suction but pushes the items around more and doesn’t agitate the carpet where as the shark with the roller does. Again the anti hair wrap people saying this gets clogged up again this I haven’t had any issues with a lot of people don’t read the instructions as in there it says to run it on hard floor which will get rid of the hair if the whole house is carpeted. With the run time too you would be really surprised with actually how long you need a Hoover so the run time for me is perfect. Good luck on your other extras hope you get them sorted and happy gaming with your new pc. Thank you so much for your positive feedback just wish I got paid for this ha ha
Thank you so much appreciate your comment this was my first video i ever made please subscribe and also check out my other videos on the shark more will be coming down the line KEEP SAFE
Hey there, thank you for doing this review :) I know the video you're talking about from around Christmas time, and there is no follow up as yet so this is great. Just wanted to ask, as this has been what's put me off...People saying the anti hair wrap is a failure. In one of your replies on here you say that the instructions mention running it on a hard surface if the brush roll gets clogged with hair, is that correct? I have fairly long hair, and cutting it from the little wheels on my current vacuum head is the bane of my cleaning experience haha. Just wondered if you've had any issues with this at all. Again, thank you for doing this, I hope you and your family are safe and well, and the cheerios menace isn't driving you too mad!😅
Thank you so much for taking the time to watch this this was my first ever video so I hope it was helpful. My mrs has long hair and over 1 month of using I haven’t had any issues with it. I did hear that some people if they had any issues you just run it every so often on hard flooring which I believe it says this in the instructions. As I say I can’t really comment too much into this as it’s not happened to me. I also noticed that some of the other tangle was on a different model with the metal bars that went on the underside. Ha ha no I’m afraid it’s cornflakes now so not as bad. I am also in the process of doing a video of how to clean the filters I would really appreciate a subscibe as I’m sure if I get more questions there might be another video which will help people down the line. Hope this helps you a little in your decision if you need anymore help just ask. Take care and safe too in these scary time’s
Cool review mate and yeah it's hard to argue with those results. When I tested the Shark IZ251 on my channel I found it to be a decent cleaner. Just a few things that let it down in my opinion, but I think I'm getting rid of my Dysons for the time being and seeing how the Shark works out!
Thank you mate appreciate the good feedback yes it really is for the money not as good suction on carpets as the Dyson but I find it pushes easier and it’s in a totally different world with hard floors than Dyson shark have really got a good thing with the front foam roller. Yeh good luck with your channel and fingers crossed your happy with the choice
@@decisionsdecisions8906 yes mate totally agree. I think best thing for me is you don't have to continuously switch cleaner heads from carpet to hard floor - it's 2 in 1 and it does a decent job at both! Cheers mate much appreciated!
Yes your correct mate thank you and thank you for commenting on my video cool channel you have too I had asked many of different suppliers but with no joy for reviews
@@decisionsdecisions8906 ah thanks mate, it's still a new channel so we are getting there slowly lol. Oh really? I haven't even bothered asking suppliers at the moment to be honest. Just reviewing stuff I got at the moment until I go bankrupt! Which suppliers have you contacted may I ask?
Yes we all got to start somewhere yes I have been doing the same at the moment I wanted to test another vacuum but obviously don’t need or want to pay for one as that’s just wasteful so thought they would send one I asked shark who said they weren’t interested but fair enough just need to build up my honest reviews good luck with your channel mate
Alex Morgan personally yes the Dyson has more suction but poor battery life no option to add a battery you have to mount the stand to charge or take it apart each time to charge or it will just fall over. I like mine for the ease of use for carpet and hard floor without the need to swap the heads I do think Dyson are an amazing vacuum but just didn’t do it for me the shark ticked all the boxes for me hopefully the review gives you a better understanding good luck with what ever you choose
Decisionsdecisions it is currently on sale for €300 in a local electrical store and the dyson is 290 but i think the handheld unit might be a bit big to clean dowjn the sides of car seats thank you for the recommendation
Alex Morgan yes the Dyson unit itself is a lot smaller and easier to hold when using as a handheld not a problem I did these reviews to help people make their own decision
Sana Choudhary wow I’m surprised at that so I have some good news for you I managed to find it at the £250 from their website for you for some reason they have 2 websites and on the other and also curry’s and even amazon it’s showing £350 so have a look at this and let me know how you get on hopefully have saved you £100 sharkvacuum.co.uk/?promoproduct=00&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI053cm9n66QIVRbDtCh1D1QziEAAYASAAEgJRR_D_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds#IZ201UK
Sadly it’s showing the same price ☹️since I watched your video I’m keep looking on different shark sites and the prices are the same £350 for the model you brought,I really appreciate you replied me☺️I hope I find one for £250
Sana Choudhary I will help you go to heresharkvacuum.co.uk/#NZ801UKT then click the cordless stick 40 min runtime is shows it at 274.95 this is the purple pet model if you click it in the orange finish it’s £250 let me know how you get on please

Sana Choudhary no your welcome it threw me out too when I look on their other website it showed £350 for my model then it looked like it was 280 on their other site but there sneaky with showing the more expensive one first please give my videos a thumbs up and feel free to subscribe I have also loads of other videos on how to clean etc. Your welcome as I said before I don’t make any money from this and actually shark had declined to work with me so this is just to try and help others out and give honest reviews. If you do get it I hope you enjoy it the suction isn’t as powerful as Dyson but the overall use and versatility is amazing I love it after having mine all this time I will be doing another video with about 6 months of usage to give my review on that too to help people. Take care and keep safe
Thank you for your input appreciate it I must admit the head on the shark is very heavy but this has never bothered me as it’s on the floor I find the Dyson hurts my hand when pushing the plastic seems to press on between my thumb and finger
Jeevs Random stuff yes I get what you mean but on the other hand it hurts to keep your finger constantly on this and I would say this can’t be good for your hand and fingers plus the shark has a longer run time and changeable batteries so preserving the battery isn’t too much of an issue
Any hoover can pick up newly thrown rubbish on hard floor. You demonstration is not good. We need real life like example. Like picking up hair that is in deep carpets.
Ali Khan thank you for the input appreciate your comment your totally right this was the first day of opening some of my other video shows hair rubbed into the carpet the items on the floor especially kitchen was to show what suction this offered within the grooves of the tiles. I do need to do an update of the Vacuum which I will do at some point. Thank you again for your feedback
beena iqbal when using as a hoover in the upright position because all the weight is higher up and at the handle it feels lighter I think it’s a little bit heavier than the Dyson when being used as a handheld but the weight has never been an issue for me

Your welcome hope it was helpful and you made a decision
Both shark and dysons cordless vacuums are terrible. Don't even bother with Dyson lol the shark hoover just has shitty battery run time
Amazing review thanks for all the hard work and clips really appreciate it!
Gratitude Attitude. You are very welcome appreciate the feedback feel free to have a look at some of the other videos on how to take care mate
Great review bud.. finally made my mind up now.. (ordered)
Thanks man I appreciate your reply I hope its worth it
Innes Coull I’m sure it will be it’s great for a quick vac just not ideal for a big deep clean
Do you think it’s worth purchasing the wide upholstery tool for vacuuming stairs? Thank you.
I have the rotating power one and will be posting a video at some point on it. I don’t think it’s the best personally but just gives that extra help than not having one
Thank you. Perhaps I will wait for your video before deciding.

Thank you for your reply 👍
Tracker 100 no problem have a lovely Christmas and new year
First of all thanks for taking the time to do this video.
Did you buy the motorised pet tool in the end? Was it worth it for the stairs?
I did I’m yet to post the video of this but I wasn’t that impressed if I’m honest
Very helpful indeed. Thank you.
Thank you so much for your lovely comment hope it helps you make a decision on what to go for thank you for your support
Great video! Simple question please. Is this the same model as Shark IZ202? Thank you.
Is it good to take up dog hair please.
could you advise .if is there any loss of suction on the upside section of the stairs?
I wouldn’t say so I would say it grabs more to be honest hope this helps anything else just let me know thank you for your support
Thank you for your information
You are very welcome thank you for watching and thank you for supporting my channel
Excellent review thank you so much

I really hope you enjoy it be sure to let me know
Brilliant review!
Aww thank you this was my first ever video and review thank you for your support appreciate it
Amazing review! Just bought one after seeing this after some hours researching. May I ask, how has it held up after a year?
Carl Castro your welcome I have had mine nearly 2 years now still liking it
You are so welcome
when the head connects to the body is it ment to be lose
Where the head connects to the body is it meant to be a bit loose please ?

Good at making porridge if you have milk in the canister though. Great review.
Oh no they were fine I put them together with a bit of glue ha ha
Bastoigne thank you appreciate the support that canister would make a great cereal bowl
Are you still happy with the shark cordless 1 year on ? I'm thinking of buying one 🤔🙂
Thank you for your comment, I’m really happy with it still no loss of suction only when it gets blocked through faculty’s of our own with kids ie food and paper. Still performing as it should

Amazing review I’m going to buy one now
Jesus Crust that’s great glad it helped you out as I say I didn’t make this video for people to go out and buy it was more to show what it can do and what to expect
@@decisionsdecisions8906 I understand that, but it was between this and the dyson. And this review was more in depth than the Dyson one and it’s a lot better on wood floor than dyson as you showed
Jesus Crust thank you so much for the positive feedback this was my first video of many I have made on the machine I hope they help
Thank you so much appreciate your feedback
Thanks for the video, what vacuum did you have before and how does this compare? Cheers
Is it a sealed system with a HEPA filter?
Yes mate as far as I am aware
Thanks for the review!

Looking to get one. Really good vid

Yes we all got to start somewhere yes I have been doing the same at the moment I wanted to test another vacuum but obviously don’t need or want to pay for one as that’s just wasteful so thought they would send one I asked shark who said they weren’t interested but fair enough just need to build up my honest reviews good luck with your channel mate
excellent review , getting one on prime day :)
Shahad786 thank you glad it helped you that was my aim to give a good honest review hope you enjoy it
How is it for you?
Would you recomend this over a dyson v7 motorhead?
How come you got it for £250 it’s £349.99 at the given shark online address ☹️I need one but it’s too expensive,
Sana Choudhary wow I’m surprised at that so I have some good news for you I managed to find it at the £250 from their website for you for some reason they have 2 websites and on the other and also curry’s and even amazon it’s showing £350 so have a look at this and let me know how you get on hopefully have saved you £100 sharkvacuum.co.uk/?promoproduct=00&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI053cm9n66QIVRbDtCh1D1QziEAAYASAAEgJRR_D_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds#IZ201UK
🥳🥳🥳 yeahhhh🥳🥳🥳found it omg thank you so much I’ve been looking on the same site for that long😳with my fully eyes open oh thank goodness I found it,thank you soooo much for your help🥰🥰🥰stay blessed💛
👍👍👍👍
Thank you dean and thank you for watching
40 minutes run time 💀💀🤦🏽♂️ the 60 minute version lasts less than 30 mins on medium power.
Thank you for sharing I know the high suction kills the power
Bought cleaner hated it way too heavy dont buy dyson is lighter dyson id better
Thank you for your input appreciate it I must admit the head on the shark is very heavy but this has never bothered me as it’s on the floor I find the Dyson hurts my hand when pushing the plastic seems to press on between my thumb and finger
I personally like the button because when you stop it goes off instantly and that saves battery. Aswell
Most people vac up before dirt and hair get the chance to become heavily embedded into carpet.
Just saying
Thank you for your input
@@decisionsdecisions8906 how heavy is it to use as i had ordered and returned the shark upright as it was very heavy to use .
beena iqbal when using as a hoover in the upright position because all the weight is higher up and at the handle it feels lighter I think it’s a little bit heavier than the Dyson when being used as a handheld but the weight has never been an issue for me
Looks like underpowered crap
It’s actually surprising it’s no Dyson suction but great for hard floors where you don’t need the crazy suction
