I love this vacuum. Use it daily as a domestic cleaner, fits in my car really well folded over and the cable means I don't have to worry about carrying multiple batteries. The play at the top of the wand hasn't caused any issues, been using mine for nearly 2yrs and its never broken or got any worse 🙌
For us, it is a hands down - the best vacuum cleaner for pet owner. Powerful suction and easy to use design. Each part is easy to clean and to replace, if needed. This device made such a difference to our lives.
I actually bought this because it has a cord. I have one with a battery that I bought for a similar price, but it is way too weak. I like stick vacuum cleaners and I don't mind the cord. I dislike traditional vacuum cleaners. The only positive thing about those is the suction power. Now I have a stick vacuum with the same suction power. Best of both worlds.
I've owned the DuoClean corded for around 3 years now. I might just be the lucky owner who has had no mechanical/electrical problems. I live in a shared house so the Shark is heavily used. When I first bought this vacuum cleaner, yes it did feel strange to operate, For some unknown reasons my one does not flex as shown in this video, in fact it is a bit on the tight side. I have a small electric meter/ utility cupboard under my stairs and the folded Shark fits nicely,,,,, the Hetty is too big and round. Once you have used the Shark for a while,,, click click and plug it in for easy use, filters are easy to change or clean, I do my filters and rollers every couple of weeks.
Bought the Shark as a lighter second hoover as my legacy Panasonic upright 2000w is a monster (fantastic suction but too heavy for my many, many stairs). Love the maneuverability of the Shark. Moving from 2000w to 450w is, at the end of the day, going to be down to the frequency of use, and the fact is that I'm happy to use the Shark daily.
Not thick at all, I get many comments on videos where I point out something that has helped someone. A lot of viewers also prefer to see visually how something works than read the instruction book. Glad this video was helpful for you.
I have this shark model at my holiday home and it's the best vac I have ever owned and I've owned several top models. The long cord allows you to clean the whole caravan in one go, instead of always being aware of charge time left. The hair separates from the dust so easy to empty. storage is great as it takes up hardly any room. suction is great too, what more could I ask for. I've just ordered a second one for my house. Can't recommend enough! :)
Thank you. You've answered my question about which parts of the filter has to be cleaned. Other than the 2 white ones I've only been washing the black sponge but not the whole filter! Thought it looked a bit dusty! Will now do it ☺️
Thanks for reviews, I really needed to know about this one . Shark up vacuum is very very good , only problem is it’s heavy. But suction power is really good , the roller work much better than some way more expensive vacuums out there.
I'm returning mine. I did not like it primarily because of how weak it cleaned the carpet. I like seeing lines. At times, it felt like the vacuum floats over the carpet.
Just purchased this second hand great for hair on the carpet, hetty can't handle all my long hair. I like this machine but it's my first stick one I own good starting point for me

great review . i was debating between corded and cordless and I have 2 cats and a dog so need to hoover every day really . This has convinced me . However I worry about battery charged devices as they run out quickly . Thanks for the review
I bought it last week for £135... At this price i think it's more than ok... The reason i didn't chose the cordless is because i don't rely on those batteries as you'll have to replace them quite frequently
My Step mom bought one for my dad (a non pet model), we loved it so much in his small flat. I suggested one for my Step Dad in his new house (a pet model like one seen in the video). The flexology is perfect for under stair cupboards, the pet model is brilliant for our Labrador. However even on hard floor mode, air escapes from the head on the cleaner blowing hair everywhere
I’ve had this model less than a year with light use as we have a cordless and the hinge has broke at the bend. Had to ring Sharp for replacement after sending old one back first. Still waiting after a week not heard anything.
So I have the USA version of this vacuum, and they changed the post motor filter to not be able to accept a hHEPA filter, which incidentally came with my replacement filter pack I ordered off Amazon. HZ2002 is it's model number. I think the vacuum is perfect for my needs, but really wish they hadn't changed the housing as it appears identical besides the the HEPA filter. It only uses another thin cloth filter in that location. All that said, I haven't noticed it spitting out any dust as I clean, so maybe the additional HEPA filter isn't actually required. Seems great anyway. I vacuum a tiny house daily and it manages to get a fist full of dust and cat hair every day (mostly cat hair). Works great for me.
I have mains powered Shark Rocket True Pet Ultra-Light Handstick and I agree those things what you said about this new version + mine is extremely loud. I don't like stick type vacuums. All the weight is in your hand and using small tools is a pain. I much rather use upright or canister vac.
The Dyson Detect cordless has a much higher pitch motor but, softer tone since it's a brushless motor with a rotor that floats on a very low friction bearing. I much prefer the sound of a Miele C1 over either of the Shark stick vac or the Dyson cordless though.
Have you had problems with excessive play with your other Shark stick vacs or is it just this particular one. It's a pity because it is a good performer just seems build quality has slipped a bit.
Please help, how in the bloody hell do you unclip the flexology part when you go to use it again? I haven't used my vac in a few weeks now because I can't undo the flexology thing
I would use a shark cordless upright vacuum for when I didn’t need a deep cleaning but I wanted a long cleaning. I would use a shark corded stick when I want to do deep cleaning but that deep cleaning does not have to be long. Then a cordless stick would be used for when I just wanted a supplemental cleaning or like say when I spilled Ramen noodles on the floor 2 days ago. And obviously a corded upright would be used for a long deep cleaning. And I would use a corded canister for cleaning the car, and it would be interesting if shark made a cordless canister, which would also be used to quickly clean up a mess in the car or for a supplemental cleaning.
I'm with you on those style vacs, I prefer an upright style too. They're too top heavy and feel weird in the hand. I'm short so definitely not easy for me to use, I feel like I'd need an attachment to my shoulder to push it more efficiently. The brush roll system is interesting though.

I have the shark lift away and it's the worst hoover I've ever had. I had a corded standard Dyson before that which was great until the belt snapped after 15yrs and I fancied a new change... I do NOT recommend Shark at all and I am going to buy a Hetty or Henry 👍
Belt is normal wear item. Please don't throw it away. Just replace the belt.
@@vacuumtests9225 I didn't throw it away, it had a new belt but it was a real heavy hoover and I gave it to a friend and fancied something new.. Went for Shark and totally regretted it. That was 6yrs ago and I want a Hetty now cos believe they're the best and bagged hoovers
@@kat7777 Okay now I understand 👍
long hair still wraps around the anti wrap brush roll. LOL.
Well, we won't be recording our own cleaning so...
So what?

The Shark is obviously flimsy. My Shark Rocket with MultiFlex broke a year ago so I bought a Dyson two months ago and it is a lot better.

My motors gone after 12 months, pile of turd
It has a five year guarantee, so you should complain to Shark.
