Looking for a lights-out classic that’s poised to cut conversations and strain necks? Look no further than this stunning MoPar super star! Created by MirandaBuilt of Delray Beach, Florida, this clean coupe, appropriately nicknamed “Charged”, scored First Place honors at the 2015 Detroit Autorama. While the car itself is incredibly intricate, its build originated through a simple idea from simpler times: a local customer owned a 1970 Charger during his youth and decided he wanted another one. Custom-mixed by MirandaBuilt, the car’s shell is PPG CX Charcoal that adds heavy metal flake to base from Ford’s F150 Harley-Davidson line. And naturally, that pigment looks right at home under Matte Black war paint and a Light Bronze pin stripe. Check this MoPar’s hand-fabricated engine bay and you’ll find 572 cubic inches of Race Legend Hemi that was supplied by the power-hungry pros at Indy Cylinder Head. Straight from Indy, that dyno-tuned mill utilizes a Callies 4340 crank, BME aluminum rods, a Comp roller cam and Wiseco 14.50 to 1 pistons to move 960 horsepower through 760 lb./ft. of torque. Behind the Hemi, a Rossler 4L80E 4-speed makes excellent use of an 8.75-inch MoPar axle. Power rack-and-pinion steering leads a full complement of disc brakes, which mix Light Bronze calipers with drilled and slotted rotors. An AccuAir e-Level Air Management System employs RideTech ShockWave bags to give this Dodge's custom suspension a killer stance. At the corners of the car, ceramic-cleared Schott F-10s spin 245/35ZR20 Pirelli P Zeros in front of 335/25ZR22 Pirelli Scorpion Zeros. And between the doors, a custom cockpit weaves modern convenience in to timeless aesthetics.
