The Charger’s professional rebirth began when it was located as a complete, barely running survivor that graced a shed in Fargo, North Dakota. Once the car had been transported to a warmer home, it received a full acid dip that revealed a solid fuselage which retained 99% of its original metal. After a few repairs we’re made to its driver’s door, that metal was bathed in glossy 2-stage. That 2-stage was highlighted by factory trim that was professionally restored and lovingly polished. And in late 2015, this Dodge made its official blacktop debut. Toss the hood and you’ll find 440 cubic inches of 1971 Chrysler big block that was professionally rebuilt by Venice Auto Machine of Venice, Florida. Behind that mill, a proven A833 4-speed twists a tough 8.75-inch axle, which spins a fresh Sure Grip differential around big, 3.90 gears. Under that drivetrain, an upgraded Firm Feel suspension aligns cushy air shocks and a beefy rear sway bar behind tight power steering. Abrupt stops are supplied by four power-assisted calipers, which squeeze drilled and slotted rotors. At the corners of the chassis, attractive Boze wheels spin Michelin Pilot Super Sports.
