Incorrect. No 60s car with giant modern wheels and rubber band tires qualifies for that description. This car is dated by the corny race car stuff. At least put some 15" Aeros or Bassetts on the damn thing. Also, driving around on the street with an exposed roll cage waiting to turn your skull into putty is just retarded. p.s. Tim Allen's green Camaro is a damn near perfectly done car. It's just a set of 15" wheels away from perfect.
Whenever I see Steve Strope is gonna be on I watch straight away. Total hoodlum and entertaining af. It's great to see how you two blokes get on, just great. 🇳🇿
Steve Strope is the man! His designs and eye for detail shine through. Clean, sanitary, stripped down function. Built nearly 20 years ago, and still kicks the shit out of Father Time. 👍🏻 🍺
Coincidentally, I just finished watching two episodes of THE DUKES OF HAZZARD. Turn on UA-cam and this video immediately popped up. Hell yeah!!! A '68 - '70 Charger is one of my dream cars! Man, this car sounds freakin' amazing and looks great! Not gonna lie, though... even though the interior in this one is ok, I'd still rather have a FULL interior.
I love Steve's silliness 😂😂 But it's always a good time with him and details never end with his builds which I adore. And the Charger is the best of the best with car bodies.
Pure, clean and functional. Everything you want, nothing that doesn't serve a purpose. And that sound! When you ask any old kid what a Charger sounds like, This is the one!
Man! I had been working at Pure Vision for less than a month (back in 2007 ...... wow!) when this car came back from it's short run on the show circuit. Steve was on a phone call so he told me to go out and help the guy delivering the car. Well, it was in one of those big rig car haulers with a lift gate at the back. The car was so nice that the rig driver didn't want to be responsible for any potential damage. So, he had me climb in and back the car out onto the lift gate. The gate had no stop, lip, or anything at the back. If I went too far, I was definitely going to lose the dream job that I had just started! Fear and adrenaline in abundance with that side exhaust bouncing off the walls of the trailer! My chest is tightening right now just thinking about it. Good times! Big thanks to Steve for giving me such amazing opportunities over the ensuing 17 years!
Such a great year to pick for a body style. The best, honestly. Real envious for this one. Edit: The way this car sounds...oh BAYBEE. Thats all engine too, man.
It’s “visceral” my friend😁. Was introduced to Steve when he showed the Super Badass Fairlane to Jay Leno and this car is awesome. But, “raw” is a great description as well. Somewhat 😊
Cant say enough about this build...simple subtle function etc Pretty sure I hear the clatter of solid lifters.....perfect with the manual trans. Could listen to that all day just easy driving, cruising etc. Dont need to go nuts to enjoy a car like this
Steve is my favorite car designer & builder, by far! Another gorgeous Mopar brought to life, love it! Steve uses old school verbage like "This car gets with the program!" A favorite expression of mine!
Another awesome build from Steve, the Special Ops Ford Fairlane is my favorite. Dang he put on like 50 pounds and long blonde hair??? He was bald! Lol love the guy.
Any Charger with this body style and the AMC Javelin are my very favorite cars of the Era. I guess 'cause when I was 6 in 1973 you'd hardly ever see either of them and their styling was distinctive. This is a FANTASTIC BUILD!!! Later for my preferences.. I guess if I ever have enough 🍞 BREAD🍞 and the owner was interested in selling maybe then that'd be important😂😂😂 AMAZING!!!
Nice ride, I'm a simple guy, me see shiny classic car me watch me listen, and the audio is top shelf bro, greetings from Canada, have a great weekend, I'd rather watch you than the other guy.
The 2nd Gen Charger is so beautifully designed that it's hard to screw up. As an aside, the cars themselves aren't referred to as "NASCARS." That moniker is reserved for the sanctioning body, or as an adjective. The cars are called "Stock cars," "Stockers," or "Cup Cars." Thanks Shawn.
Steve is the OG _Dude_ and can still take a good ribbing in jest. This car reminded me of my Dad's back in the early '70's that I spent a lot of time riding in. We were invincible back then in the CHarger. Thanks for this one, Shawn and Steve.
I really like the way Steve Strope visualizes a car, perfect amount of flashiness & practicality.
Steve and his team are awesome
Now THIS is a perfectly done car.
Seriously badass
That's what I thought too! Finally a charger that isn't overdone.
@@riccocoolit was done a long time ago

The Rawness of this Build 😮
Long Live Mopar 🤙🏽
So raw and amazing attention to detail
As soon as I seen the thumbnail I knew it was built by Steve. Something about his builds that's so unique. Love it.
He really has a unique raw and old school style

THIS CHARGER is why I like this channel.... wow!!

I love the minimalist approach of this car.
Slick ride, I'm jealous!
Everything Steve touches turns out amazing the man has the Midas touch and has a great attitude always smiling 👍
and to imagine this was built 20
years ago
*And I wouldn't change 1 thing to it for another 20+ years.*
*Timeless is spot on*
I love simple and easy to service. If I lived in a dry climate, I would drive it every day.
Right on!
The Car and Steve are perfect for eachother, just throwbacks to awesome Car times.
Yeah kudos to Steve getting back to living 70s FREE
Yes sir!
Talk about attention to detail. Such a sick build.
Outstanding!! If it had the Mopar Pistol Grip shifter it'd be Perfect!! :)
This is a super clean build 😍😍😍
This is one of the best cars I've seen on this channel.......❤
I love it too
That's a helluva badass nasty looking beast... nothing beats old school muscle car body lines...🤙🏾🤙🏾🤙🏾
Steve Strope is a legend. Love the raw simple less is more nascar style.

MOPARRRR‼️🤙🏾 Absolute Badass
This is a dope car. Straight simple. Yeah and 600hp is plenty to get you in trouble.
I love Steve's silliness 😂😂 But it's always a good time with him and details never end with his builds which I adore. And the Charger is the best of the best with car bodies.
Absolutly perfect
Beautiful car!!!! Steve knows how to build a car!
Steve's always had an 👁️ for detail in all his awesome builds.
😎👍

I’ve been a fan of Steve’s for years. The passion and irreverence is a huge bonus. Thanks for this one!!
Choo Choo Mofo....❤❤❤
Love the little second gear chirps 👍

Steve is just awesome. Glad he and his builds get featured here.
❤❤❤ Old school cool 😎
"wouldn't want to drive it everyday" lol yes i would !!!!!! I would smile everyday listening to that sound
This is by far one of the slickest cars that's ever been on this channel.
I agree. Typical Strope taste & style
Love the sound!!
Such a great year to pick for a body style. The best, honestly. Real envious for this one.
Edit: The way this car sounds...oh BAYBEE. Thats all engine too, man.
Awesome ride!

Oh HELL YES🤘

Steve has to be the most entertaining car builder ever. I have always admired the guy and the crew of craftsmen he assembled.
Beautiful!!
One of the best car vids I’ve ever seen, the car is just pure and amazing!
So sick!
Definitely
I used to love watching Steve on his TV series, Hand Built Hotrods
Bad ass👍
Steve would have to be one of the best builders ever! Love his style and love the way he tells a story with every build.
Sounds awesome
You guys are awesome.
Amazing car! Perfect!
The fact that he said 💯 stock is unbelievable and absolutely amazing!!
I fucking love it!
Cant say enough about this build...simple subtle function etc
Pretty sure I hear the clatter of solid lifters.....perfect with the manual trans.
Could listen to that all day just easy driving, cruising etc. Dont need to go nuts to enjoy a car like this
Steve Strope has the best taste of building cars that can be really driven. I just love all the small details.
19 years!! Wow, I remember when this car first came out like it was yesterday. Time flies.
Really cool to finally see it in person
Badass car 💯
Thanks Sean. You guys had fun.
20 years old build smashes the competition hands down. Even the chevy guys love it
Steve Strope creates such amazing cars. Seems like a really fun person as well
Steve is my favorite car designer & builder, by far!
Another gorgeous Mopar brought to life, love it!
Steve uses old school verbage like "This car gets with the program!" A favorite expression of mine!
As soon as i saw Steve driving, on the intro, i knew it was going to be a special car... and i was correct.
You can count on him to deliver everytime. Sometime soon we get to shoot Martini Mustang!
Don’t need a radio when you can hear that Mopar sound 😎
Another awesome build from Steve, the Special Ops Ford Fairlane is my favorite. Dang he put on like 50 pounds and long blonde hair??? He was bald! Lol love the guy.
He’s so rad !
Anything Steve does makes my day and this takes the cake.
Let the good times roll! Loving it guys.
Steve is one of the few builders in the game with a timeless vision. None of his builds that I've seen look dated in any way!
You had me at NASCAR
Hell yeah brother!
Beautiful, and it’s a 68 I love that.
I love Steve’s Mopar mania.
Cars like this one is why Mopar is my favorite

This 19 year old MOPAR build still looks & sounds fresh!
I can’t believe that build is 19 years old wow man
Crazy to think right ?!
Nice ride, I'm a simple guy, me see shiny classic car me watch me listen, and the audio is top shelf bro, greetings from Canada, have a great weekend, I'd rather watch you than the other guy.
there is nothing that sounds like the Hemi...amazing!!
Yeah, that's how it's done! I love it
Steve Strope is now LEGEND!
Anything He touches turns fucking Radical!
That's a badass charger !
Such a bad ass build!
I've always loved the Charger because the front reminds me of a whale shark, just ready to digest anything that comes at it.
One of the best looking muscle cars ever imo
The 2nd Gen Charger is so beautifully designed that it's hard to screw up. As an aside, the cars themselves aren't referred to as "NASCARS." That moniker is reserved for the sanctioning body, or as an adjective. The cars are called "Stock cars," "Stockers," or "Cup Cars." Thanks Shawn.
I get it about the name. Nascar just makes it easier for some I think. Great build and timeless imo
Sound right! Just like a Red Line 7000 movie.
Steve is the OG _Dude_ and can still take a good ribbing in jest. This car reminded me of my Dad's back in the early '70's that I spent a lot of time riding in. We were invincible back then in the CHarger. Thanks for this one, Shawn and Steve.
Hell yeah man !
Damn I’m getting old or I ain’t seen Strope in a while
Took me a minute as well haha
We did a video with him recently
Gorgeous build!!!!
Red interior and no harnesses is bringing back memories.
American oldschool Muscle car. Great episode. Greetings
If its dope, its built by Strope.
Yooooo Shawn !
Damn! The Nascar design is so cool. Tarantino might want this car for a movie.
