True '70s classic, great live take, Lindsey is still one of the most underrated rock stars of all time--- but no matter how happy they may have appeared here, the drama behind this song was *nerve-end raw.* One of the all-time-great break-up/kiss-off/there's-the-DOOR songs... :D
Dear Olavity Ironically, "they are looking at each other" because at the time of the song Lindsey and Stevie AND Christie and Mick were breaking up. So they are looking at each other with a bit of resentment and 'remembering' of the 'good times' they shared together as couples. In the song, Linsey is accusing Stevie of cheating and that is the reason she wants to break up. "Shacking up is what you want to do". I believe Stevie's "Dreams" is her response to this song. She even uses his own line "go your own way" against him very cleverly.
Stevie and Lindsey looked at each other sweetly for years! That's cause they were involved for a long time! But rumor has it, when their love affair ended, it ended badly! In some shows, u can c the bad looks! But their singing and hits, never faltered! Saw them live 5 years ago! They were insane! 💋
Two great performances for future reactions are Rhiannon from Midnight Special in 1976: ua-cam.com/video/goKM7jsOwrg/v-deo.html and Sliver Springs from Burbank in 1997: ua-cam.com/video/eDwi-8n054s/v-deo.html Also, FM started out as a British blues rock band in the 60s with the superb Peter Green as lead singer and guitarist. Check out Man of the World sometime: ua-cam.com/video/9GPR848mhIs/v-deo.html
Loved your reaction! Suggest listening to future Fleetwood songs from The Dance concert. Suggest "Tusk"... guarantee you have never seen a performance like it before.
Hehe this was the prelude the the end of a band where everybody slept with each other and it didn't work out:) The live version of The Chain was a beautiful version of "We are done but the show must go on " Peace and Love from Canada eh :) sorry :)
Lindsey Buckingham (guitar & vocals) wrote this song about Stevie Nicks (vocalists). They were in the midst of a breakup during recording the Rumors album. Meanwhile Christy McVie (keyboards) and John McVie (bass) were married but going through a divorce during the same time. They all wrote songs about each other and made one of the best albums ever. Check out Stevie's song to Lindsey from the live reunion tour. Pure tension. ua-cam.com/video/eDwi-8n054s/v-deo.htmlsi=W83UmyPCnSKRXr_F
@@jerryward3311 Also awkward was that Christine's new boyfriend was the lighting engineer for the band. Adding to the drama is that Stevie and Mick Fleetwood had a side thing for a while yet they managed to work it all out.
OM, great reaction! Just so you know, the studio version includes a pretty cool guitar solo in the outtro that they did not include here. Lindsey is an excellent guitarist/musician!
Buckingham and Nicks didn't join the group until 1975 with their 10th album "Fleetwood Mac", followed by their 11th album "Rumours" in 1977. A lot of great music in those two albums but commercial success was met with interpersonal drama with the break up of Buckingham & Nicks.
Hi Ola, great reaction as always. This is my favorite song by Fleetwood Mac. From the masterpiece "Rumours" album, this is Lindsey talking to Stevie about their relationship. From what I've read, she was upset at the line, "Shacking up is all you want to do", and wanted Lindsey to take it out. Obviously, he didn't. I like your guitar necklace.
Go your own way was written by Lindsey Buckingham, Stevie had to sing backup on his breakup song. Dreams was her primary breakup song on the album. He had to do a guitar solo expressing her hard feelings about himself.
People keep doing live ones for their first reactions. I think it’s a mistake. Nothing against live versions, but the first time you hear it, it needs to be the studio version.
This was written by Lindsay, that's why he sings lead. Some people have got that wrong here.
They all sing about each other!!
You can never go wrong reacting to Fleetwood Mac.
Love it. I hope you react to their "Rhiannon" live Midnight Special. Stunning performance.
Lindsey Buckingham, Stevie Nicks, Christine McVie, Mick Fleetwood, John McVie.........................Legendary
Let's talk about how awesome that bass player is he's killing it
My favorite FM song

That song was written for Lindsay and his girlfriend lead singer most songs are true stories.
Thanks Ola. ❤😂
HE wrote the song about her.
Such a beautiful woman listening to one of the best songs of the time.

The song is called Silver Springs. She also wrote Dreams about her breakup relationship w Lindsey
You make loving fun by Christine about her new boyfriend with her ex on bass.

You really should watch FM perform their song TUSK onstage with the University of Southern California Marching Band. Its awesome!

I heard that awesome song from Martin Scorsese's Casino
Please try listening to the original Fleetwood Mac , they were much more Bluesy, Peter Green was a phenomenal talent and Oh Well is a brilliant song.
Far out 😯
🙌🙌👏👏👋👋💖💖👍👍
Heh.... Taylor Swift writes songs about her breakups/exes.... Stevie Nicks writes them about her ex, and makes him SING it!

August 16th is the anniversary of the king's death, so if you could give a reaction on one of his songs please
